This business acquired my pool company. The original pool company was great and cared about us as customers. My first red flag was that in their pool report they stated the pool was not salt. Then I get a random text asking if we wanted it filters cleaned. Once I got them to give me an answer in the salt then I agreed. The tech left and 6 days later went to use my spa. The breaker had been off for the entire week. My pool smells disgusting, we have algae forming and lots of alerts regarding salt. I have reached out to Keri who originally text me as well as the owner and no response. Such a shame to go from fantastic service to horrible service and communication. read more

Great service and quality at first and has declined rapidly to the point I had to hire another pool cleaning company. My pool had algae and splash pools was not responsive as I expected and the algae was still there 3 weeks later...even after splash pools weekly "service". I hired a new pool cleaning company and not only did they point out that the salt cell had never been cleaned by splash pools, but that our pool lacked properly chlorine amongst other chemicals. Also, we had to have 6 bags of salt added to our pool because splash pools was so negligent in their service. Splash pools claimed they cleaned the filters, but I have a hard time believing this as the filters were absolutely filthy. Also, my pool wasn't brushed by their pool tech and he spent MAYBE 5 min servicing my pool. I pay way too much money a month for shoddy service and it wasn't until I called to cancel their service that I was able to speak with a supervisor/manager. This person offered me 2 months of pool service for free and a new and more experienced pool tech. I declined and am so happy with the new pool service. Splash pools will not be in business much longer with this terrible and lackadaisical service. read more

We have been working with Splash Pools since before COVID for weekly pool cleaning and annual pool repairs. While the work started fine, the service really started going downhill after the business was sold about 6-9 months ago. They have switched pool cleaning techs on us many times, with some being ok and others being bad. In the past 6 months, no one ever picked up the phone anymore at the main office. After I left several emails and phone messages to have the manager call me in the past month, he never did (only eventually emailed). They said their phones were broken for many weeks, but that doesn't excuse the ignored email request for a call back. Worse than that, our service tech didn't seem knowledgeable about pools (was always having to ask the main office or Google things), nor did he keep track of our filter cleaning schedule, and generally seemed unmotivated, even with the potential of a tip for good work. I told him how important the pool is as I'm an avid scuba diver and am teaching our young children how to swim. He rarely got the suction cleaner out, and I never once saw him even attempt to clean the tiles. In the past month before ending our service, the pool was green with algae twice, each time for a week but never fully recovered, and foggy with white chemicals for an additional other week trying to fix it. If nothing else steers you away of this now struggling company, within a week or switching service providers the pools was already the best it looked all summer. Two weeks later and it's so much better that I seriously regret not switching AWAY from Splash Pools SOONER. The ONLY saving grace of the whole company was Brian, who was with the company for a long time before the recent ownership change. Brian is polite, efficient, effective and was the only reason I stayed as long as I did. He helped us on many occasions, especially in the past two months, to help correct all the mistakes our weekly tech made. If Brian becomes the manager Splash Pools might become better again, but until then, swim elsewhere. read more

Without notice Splash decided not to continue maintaining my pool. The service tech would come at 6:15 in the morning without notifying me and enter the backyard through a locked gate due to dogs. The tech claims someone in the house exposed themselves to him and let the dogs out to harm him. They had no problem charging me the 250.00 monthly fee for service on my debit card. I've had service with this company for over a year now, in general, the technician who does our service has been absolutely great. The issue is with their office staff and manager. Last week I received an email from Splash requesting $125 to have someone come to assess and repair my pump. My pump is currently working. I called Friday and the person who was handling my call gave me nothing but incorrect information and at one point asked me who told me my pump wasn't working (answer: the email from your company). She told me someone would call me right back, and I never received a call. Today I called back, received the exact same runaround and nothing is resolved. Finally leaving a bad review because I just can't tolerate their incompetent service anymore. Splash has been servicing my pool for the past 7 years. For most of this time, the service was great and the price was reasonable. However, over the past 2 years, the price for service has increased and the quality of service has gone down the toilet. First off, they started using old steel brushes on my PebbleTec pool, which kept shedding metal bristles in the water. As you can imagine, sharp metal bristles in the bottom of a pool are a safety hazard and are not pleasant to step on. I've had to correct this practice multiple times. Last summer 2023, my pool started getting green and black algae growth. Splash services my pool weekly, but never dealt with it until after 2 months of escalating complaints. What was their tech doing when he came to my house? Clearly not his job! He even sent photos of the algae and said the pool was fine! If you have a pool, you know black algae is very hard to scrub and get rid of, but it grew mostly unchecked thanks to Splash's incompetence. Now, my filter tank is leaking after they cleaned the filters more than a month ago. I've left notes to fix it on the equipment and it's still leaking. Again, someone is not paying attention and doing their job. I'm done. Actively looking for another pool service provider. read more

They don't care about customer satisfaction, are in-competent, dysfunctional and twist a story to their liking. 5 visits and they can't repair a fountain pump. Then they don't show up the next 2 times, after I identify the problem, stating that there is something wrong with the electrical wiring of the house that they have serviced for 20 years (19 with the prior owner). So disappointed. Splash bought out our old pool company. It seemed promising when the new owner called us to let us know and talked to us about how he runs the company. However it was all empty promises. They lie about checking the pool chemicals but send us an email saying they checked it (please see the picture where the tech did not even go in our backyard but sent an email with chemical levels). When we called to speak to a supervisor, Madison answered the phone and told us there isn't a supervisor and she could "help us." We told her about our pool having algae 24 hours after it was cleaned and she was beyond rude telling us it's because "obviously you don't know anything about how pool's and their PH balance work. Would NOT recommend this company for anything at all. Needed a sand filter changed. It was under a home warranty. John called the night before and asked if we can drain the filter. He also asked if I had a place to put the old sand. I said we can find a place. Today he calls and asked if I found a place to put the sand. I said, yes. He said he would dump the sand where the filter was and I can pay to have it moved. Just not a great service. I called and told him to come out and replace it and I would take care of the sand. Review for pool cleaning: We were so impressed by Hector's service fixing our pool that we hired Splash Pool Service for cleaning. It actually saves us money because filter cleanings are factored into the monthly cost. We're on week 3 and I have to say I am so impressed! On their first visit, they did an inspection and emailed us to let us know the chemical levels and all sorts of info on our pool. The person who cleans our pool works so much harder than anyone who has ever cleaned our pool! They check the chemicals each visit, check the water level, and leave a service card so we know they were here. Our pool cleaner actually scrubs our pool - something our past company did not do!
