This is one of the older BBQ places in the area and it really has one of those homey feels. I had the ribs with Mac n cheese and fries. We also had the pink onion, which is similar to a blooming onion. Both were delicious. BBQ is big in this area so don't be afraid to try another spot and see which mountain bbq is the best. Don't forget to grab a cook log pink trucker hat on the way out! read more

Me and the hubby are here visiting for our 27th anniversary. My sister used to live in Ellijay and recommended coming. Said it was the best barbecue. She was right it was delicious!! We got there 30 minutes before, which I don't like doing but we had traveled all day and we were hungry. The staff was so nice and our server was great. Our food came out really quick and we had way more than we could eat. You won't go away hungry!!! read more

Amazing place, amazing food and an amazing staff. This restaurant is like stepping into a Hallmark movie in the cutest little town in Georgia. The pork BBQ quesadillas are magnificent.. I cannot wait to visit again. read more

I guess I'm spoiled traveling from Texas, but this Bar-B-Q was awful. Very bland, no smoke flavor, tasted like it was made in an oven or slow cooker. I ordered takeout so I can't comment on the service or ambiance. I love Barbecue will have to try some other places in the area. read more

Great food! Fabulous service from Tim! Hands down best food in town so glad we got to visit and enjoy.

I ordered takeout on a Saturday night. The food was decent with the exception of the fries. They were limp and had no seasoning. The ribs were the highlight and the brisket was very good too. Although we asked for sweet BBQ sauce, we got back to the house only to find we didn't get any sauce, so be sure to check if you order takeout. Because we had traveled all day, we just wanted to eat and made the best of it. read more

Rainy and dreary night, looking around for a place to eat and located this place.. Nothing Better than having your entire family together, this little place will always be a memory for us If in the area try it you might like it... we did !! Pink Pig - Barbeque Near Me - Cherry Log, Georgia

First time as a new local. Pulled pork and 1/2 Chicken cooked as advertised. Real test will be when I go back for the Brisket. Looking forward to my next visit. If you are in the area and want some quality BBQ Thursday -Sunday this nostalgic place fits the bill. read more

Let me start by saying I am *not* a BBQ person. In the last few years, I can count the number of times I've eaten BBQ on one hand. With all of that said, this is a place I will be returning to again in the near future! Not only was their food excellent but the staff were friendly and helpful. They made great recommendations, the meal came out very quickly, and my only regret is not getting a dessert. My only minor critique is the layout is a little confusing - I ended up in the to-go order line and got overlooked for being seat. Otherwise, definitely worth a stop if you're driving between Ellijay and Blue Ridge! read more

Was on a girls trip from OOT. Had heard about this restaurant from numerous people and they said we just had to go there and eat. When we first walked in it was like walking into a hallmark movie. it was decorated so quaint for Christmas. The food was amazing and the service even better. Met the owner Sam and she gave us the background of the restaurant and her and Timothy gave us recommendations of what to do around the surrounding area. They made us feel like we had known them forever. If you get the chance please go visit them for some good ole BBQ you won't be disappointed!!!! read more

My family and I have been coming here since I was a child, and it is hands down my favorite bbq in any city or state. The pulled pork is so tender, the sauce is perfect, and the Brunswick stew is like no other. They perfectly butter their toast. I cannot drive within 30 minutes of here and not make a detour. I consider myself a big bbq fan having sampled many places across the southeast and specifically in Georgia, and I have never found a place that I enjoyed more. It's a hole in the wall, and that's part of its charm. It can definitely get busy but is always worth the wait. The service has remained consistent over the years, and we always leave with big smiles and full bellies. read more

My wife and I were visiting Ellijay when we saw the Pink Pig signs. We ate there on a Thursday night, and we're very disappointed. I had the combo (sliced brisket, pulled pork and 2 ribs). First, there was an upcharge of $2.00 to have sliced brisket in lieu of chopped. This makes no sense...any barbecue fan knows when ordering brisket, you expect it to be sliced. But, okay, I went for the sliced brisket. I'm not sure if any of the meats were smoked or not, but there was no smoke flavor in any of the 3. None whatsoever. The brisket and ribs were clearly over cooked (no smoke rings anywhere) and may have been a day or 2 old. The brisket's bark was soggy and had no flavor. The meat itself was a dark brown color all around. (No pink, no smoke ring) I told my wife I might as well had roast beef as that is the flavor and texture of the brisket. The ribs were no better... cold, tough and no flavor. The pulled pork was okay. I gave two stars for the sides and service. Just disappointing...... read more

Friendly, fast, clean and some of the best food I've had in a while. If I lived in the area, this would be a staple at least weekly. As it is, might be worth the hour and a half drive from north Atlanta. read more

Decent bbq. Jalepeno poppers were delicious! Very good bbq vibe decor. Server's were pleasant and welcoming!

We tried another BBQ spot first, but they were out of brisket and when Mom wants brisket, she gets brisket. LOL!!! So we remembered the roadside billboards for the Pink Pig, made a quick call, then booked over there. Yes, they had brisket and the wife loved it. I had the ribs, pulled pork, chopped brisket combo and it was delicious. I ordered the mac n cheese and sweet potato fries and wasn't impressed. But we weren't there for the sides, but the meat and they killed it. The sauces were exactly as advertised, spicy or sweet. We loved the decor. The humorous signage in the restrooms that appealed to my sophomoric humor as well as my 16 year old son's. The service was attentive and considerate. And the peanut butter pie, peach cobbler, and blackberry cobbler were all just like we expected. We'll be back!!! read more

This was the perfect spot for our large party of 19. The staff did an excellent job. Nice environment. Great history. The food was great too. I got the combo plate. The brisket is pretty good for chopped - it's not as dry as other reviews make it out to be. The pulled pork is ok too. But the best of the three meats on my combo is the ribs. For sides I chose fried okra and "spuds" (fresh cut French fries). The okra is standard (probably from a frozen package) but the fresh cut fries were top notch. Since we had such a large group we did some sharing of a variety of everything - appetizers, entrees, and sides. The oink onion, fried pickles, & fried green tomatoes are all great! The only other appetizer I tried was mozzarella cheese sticks and they are pretty average frozen product. The Mac n cheese and baked beans are also top notch. The sweet potato waffle fries were ok for frozen package food. I didn't try the stew or smoked chicken but members of our group said they are 4 out of 5 (which is good because we all consider ourselves connoisseur's). The bread looks ok but I was so full I didn't even bite it. All the sauces were great too! I normally don't care for a vinegar sauce but theirs was probably the best I've ever had. The sweet and hot were both really good too. I can't even decide which one I liked the best they were all so good. Overall I have to give this place a 5. When I come back I'll either try the fried chicken or stick with ribs and fresh fries, and I'd like to try the stew. read more

NOTE: bring cash!! You will be charged 3.5% fee for using a credit card Family of 4 on vacation in the area... were hungry and excited to try the Pink Pig. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing-- especially for what ended up being ~$150. Ribs were probably the best. Brisket was dry. Mac and cheese was flavorless, as were the okra and regular fries (should have ordered the waffle sweet potato fries-- they looked better) Still held out hope for the dessert... Lava cake was good. Salted caramel cookie was next. Peach and blackberry cobbler came out raw... server brought out another cup of each, which at least had a brown(er) crust, but both were just room temperature. We came an hour before close. Will give it another try on a future trip to see if it was just an off night Service was good; polite staff read more

Ordered the combo plate. Ribs were good but the pork and brisket were some of the worst I've ever had. Need to not serve brisket if it gets a few days old. Very dry and not worth eating. They charged a lot and was dissatisfied. Been there a couple times before and it was better read more

Absolutely awesome experience at Pink Pig. We loved it so much we went twice during our 3 day stay in Blue Ridge! The ladies that run the restaurant are so genuinely friendly and kind. They accommodated our wild toddler by showing us a cabinet of toys that would keep him busy. Food was delicious, and you get plenty of it! We will be back! read more

Great portions, excellent prices, unique restaurant. Probably because I ordered carry-out, the flavors were too tame. Probably if we had the time to dine in and taste the sauces things would have been better. read more

Pink Pig has been around a long time. It has a great energy and great decor. However, I'm not sure how they are rated over 4 stars on any other app. We had the hickory fries (not on the menu) as an appetizer. I had pork+chopped chicken plate with green beans and a side salad. My husband had the pork+brisket plate with baked beans and mac n cheese. Our server, Kylie I think, took a little long to get to our table but very attentive after her initial visit. We got all of our food within an expected amount of time. As far as our food, the hickory fries would have been great if the fries were seasoned & hot and the cheese melted. Overall, the appetizer was barely warm. For our meals, the pork was somewhat dry. It was also shredded, not pulled, same for the brisket. They both tasted good though. The chicken was grilled and did not taste good with bbq sauce. My biggest complaint though - the sides! If you are going to charge me $15+ for a plate with 2 sides, I expect to get homemade, great tasting, high quality food, including the sides. The green beans were out of a can. The baked beans were out of a can. Adding meat to canned food does not make them homemade. The mac n cheese was bought frozen and cooked, didn't even taste like cheese, basically yellow sauce with macaroni. Big disappointment! It was a huge waste of $50!!! read more

Little out of the way BUT we'll worth the dinner for Bar-B-Q. Restaurant has a good selection and the meals are excellent. You'll be also entertained by the interesting wall pictures and articles. One can purchase T shirts etc. as well. We will return. read more

This is classic bbq done right! Tiffany was our server and such a delight. Brisket is awesome, pork was tender , the banana pudding was sooooo good, coleslaw was fresh, and the mac and cheese was amazing! Nothing overly fancy and that's what we wanted exactly. Visiting first time and we thought the ribs and pulled pork was amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful! Will definitely go back!

I hadn't been to The Pink Pig in years. I discovered that it's better than ever! The best thing(s) in the menu are their meats, and you can't go wrong. The ribs, pulled pork and chicken were tender, juicy and full of that subtle bbq smoke flavor. Delicious. The Mac and cheese was good, but the slaw had very little flavor. But those are just sides! Go for the meat! Our service was top-notch in spite of the fact that there were 9 of us, and they were slammed with hungry customers. Wish I had had room for dessert. Next time for sure! read more

Absolutely loved this place! It's tucked away off the main road, but we'll worth the turn off the main drag! The place is cute as a button and the service is prompt and down home warm and welcoming! The meat selections are expertly smoked and prepared to perfection! My husband and I got different varieties and tried each other's and everything I tasted was juicy, tender and melted in my mouth like butter! The sauces provided on the table were yummy! The sides that came with the meal were every bit as good as the meats themselves. Just when I thought it could not get any better, I decided to top it off with the sumptuous Banana Pudding! So good!!! read more

Everything was excellent, tasty. I had the pork bbq plate, fries and mac and cheese, sweet tea. Excellent!

Food is amazing... service is atrocious. The entire place is run by about 30 teenage girls. Most of which are just running around like chickens with their heads cut off and accomplishing absolutely nothing. There are about 4 girls pretending to be hostesses but not actually taking down anyone's names. It also takes about 4 girls to figure out how their credit card machine works at any given time. There's one one man always in a track suit sprinting through the restaurant doing whatever he does. The real hero's of this restaurant is the cooks bc if the food wasn't as good as it is this pace wouldn't be able to stay in business. read more

I loved everything I ate here! Nothing is over the top and yet nothing is lacking. The ice tea was fresh, the ribs were meaty, the sauces were saucy! The coleslaw is even mayonnaise AND vinegar! And the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had, sweet and crispy! The ambiance was cute country and everyone was sweet. Our server Amy took very good care of us and was not over bearing, always there when we needed something, which wasn't often, these folks know their business! I even bought a shirt! read more

Food was amazing and very good prices. People were super nice and I would come back for sure. You have to go!

Disappointing to say the least. Only reason for 3 stars was the brisket nachos and Alice potatoes. Chopped brisket to me means they're not good at smokin brisket. Both the brisket and pulled pork were dry. read more

Food was o.k., went with a large group. Waitress cheated me $ on my order, and not just a little. This was in early December. When I went up to pay my bill, I told the girl what had happened, and she said "Oh, that's just tax." Really??? They do this all over the town now. Watch your charges people. She probably guessed right, I would not make a scene in front of my friends. Tried to call the manager, but they never answered the phone on multiple calls made. Will not go back to a place that cheats people. read more
