I used takeoutguys for the first time recently. According to TOG, Portsmouth Flatbread offers…read moreRiverside Farms Donuts (note the plural) for $5.75. Unfortunately, this is not an item on Flatbread's menu (dated 6/7/2021). They do however offer a Riverside Farm Cider Donut Sundae for $7.75. Instead of some donuts I recieved a donut sundae without ice cream and maple infused whipped cream. That's right, I got a single donut in a pint sized container. With tax and tip, I paid over $7 for a donut that was just ok. I emailed Elizabeth at TOG the next day. Mistakes happen. I get that. So I asked her to make it right. She never responded (I waited one week before posting this. ). There are some other issues too. When I placed the order the confirmation indicated that it would be delivered in between 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 50. That's crazy for a Tuesday night this sounded crazy so I called Flatbread to cancel and order a take out but I was too late. It was delivered in roughly 1 hour 15. That's ok for a Saturday night but a bit surprising mid-week. In addition, they require a minimum tip of 20%. It is automatically added to the check. I have no problem tipping and I tip well. But I resent being told that it is mandatory and automatic. That's not a tip, it's a fee. Finally, their website says that the prices are set by the restaurants. False. They sometimes add a buck to an item. Go check it out yourself. I won't be using TOG again. There is simply no need. Uber, Doordash, Toast, and GrubHub go to most of the same places, and dozens more. We've haven't had a problem yet and I've never felt as though I got conned out of a few bucks.

I am a disabled mom who can't afford a vehicle to pick up 'to-go' food. I have many chronic health…read moreissues and there are days I simply can not make a meal. 2DineIn is there for those days. Sure a lot of times for a person living on disability I want to order but can't afford to so we set aside a certain amount each month for when I am simply not able to get out of bed due to my pain and my disabilities. We tried the national chains and they were terrible. None of them were based in Maine, so why would I want to support them in the first place? The fees, don't even think about it. If something was wrong or not delivered they offered me 5% off my next order. That is not acceptable. Neither was the attitude of their drivers. 2DineIn makes it right with a refund for the item or an offer to pick up what you are missing and bring it right to you with no extra fees. They are a local business that realizes they are serving local people and know they need to treat them right. In my experience with them, they absolutely do. I have never had an unpleasant experience with anyone, administration or driver from 2DineIn. I've been a customer for at least 6 years if not longer. You can track your order from the time you place it until it arrives at your door if you choose to do so. 2DineIn offers a wide variety of restaurants with something for almost any appetite. They are always working to add new eateries and frequently send out coupons for free or half-off delivery fees to introduce or reintroduce restaurants. This US Navy Veteran is grateful they are there as is my family.

This service is outrageously priced, more than national companies! There is no option to customize…read morea tip, and the price comparison from restaurant to this site is ridiculous.

When they reply, the price is right, but it's nerve-wracking waiting for your food, having no way…read moreof knowing for sure they're actually coming other than your text messaging with the guy. That's right. No online ordering or confirmation or virtual payment options here. It's just you, calling a restaurant to make an order, then calling/texting this person to pick it up. He gets points for making it easy to pay, since he'll accept cards or cash. But most of the time we've attempted to do business with him, it takes hours for him to acknowledge unless you keep calling. It's very strange and unprofessional, a gypsy cab version of food delivery. Maybe try it, in a pinch - especially if you're among the many who've tired of 2 Dine In, but don't look for it to be easy until and unless he shows up with the food.

This is not something I wanted to do, and I've put it off for months now. Downgrading a company…read morefrom 5 stars to 1 star, for me, means they really had to have messed up badly. So. What happened to cause this? A little background on why I relied so heavily on these guys. I'm disabled, some days I can not walk without help - which means I can't cook anything all day. If GPTO doesn't deliver as they promise, then I don't have anything at all to eat that day, and sometimes the next. What makes this worse: They are aware of this. So for reasons I can't explain and for reasons they never made excuses for - they stopped showing up with my order within a reasonable time frame, or they'd show up 2 hours or even closer to 3 hours after I'd ordered. I'd call them after the first 1.5 hours and ask them if they had forgotten me, and yes they freely admitted they had, but hey don't worry, you won't have to pay the delivery fee. This is not, and I'm sure all of you reading this know, a way to run a successful business. Now I have no way of getting meals delivered without paying the raised prices at 2DineIn, plus the tip and the Delivery Fee, which can bring an Italian Sub close to $28.00. Well being disabled, that is just not in my income range. If you are reading this and you're feeling entrepreneurial, please let me know. If you can deliver on time, don't mark up the menu prices 20%, and are happy with a decent tip each time, you could have yourself a good business here in Portland and surrounding areas. There are a lot of people who are looking for your services for many different reasons. Ila in Portland, ME Fed Up with Lousy Service
