I was recently given a giftcard to WECO that is now owned by Feast & Fettle, only to find out the hard way that it can only be used if you sign up for an account and enter your credit card into their system even though you have a giftcard. The following is an email response: "Thank you for your message, and I completely understand your concerns. At this time, a credit card is required to create an account within our system--even when using a gift card or account credits. I know this might feel frustrating, and I'm really sorry we don't have a workaround in place right now. Please know your card won't be charged as long as there are credits available on your account, and those will always apply first to any orders. That said, your comfort and trust are so important to us. If you have any questions about our billing practices or would like a little more detail about how your information is protected, I'd be happy to share that with you. Unfortunately, if you have a severe allergy that isn't in their clickable menu of options, Feast & Fettle is unable to do anything to support you. They WILL NOT notate your allergy in your account under 'other' or flag it any way. I have a quinoa anaphylaxis allergy. So even even if I choose menu items that don't list Quinoa as an ingredient, there's still reasonable doubt from a cross contamination perspective since the preparer would have no idea. Research consistently supports the idea that knowledge combined with procedural controls (like allergen management plans) is effective in reducing cross-contamination. From Feast & Fettle: "While we can never fully guarantee cross-contact, we have many members with severe allergies who use our service regularly and safely. We take allergies extremely seriously, and our kitchen practices reflect that." I challenge Feast & Fettle to consider how true this is. How can cross contamination be avoided when the person handling food isn't aware there's an allergy? As an accomplished longtime home cook, I was reluctant to try a meal delivery service. But , knee replacement surgery called for a decision if I didn't want to eat cold gummy takeout pizza every night. Feast and Fettle has been an enormous help and pleasant surprise. The food is good, but they do not give nutrition information on their meals. What about those of us on low sodium diets? Or low sugar/carb diets? Or people that are doing Keto? Well needless to say we are on our second week and not only is it delicious the choices with sides are amazing. And when you receive the items you can tell there was time involved with preparation just the way it all looks. Now the service ! There are several ways you can do it and it is awesome just leave out the old bags with all plastic and they take them and drop all the new items . Another thing is the cost . Feast & Fettle started delivering to my city, Leominster, just in time! The last few weeks have been hectic. Between home improvements and my husband returning to work for the landscape season, I could tell we would be ordering out and making bad choices. Someone suggested I try Feast and Fettle, and I am so glad I did! Last night we had the Pistachio Encrusted Cod, artichokes with a garden herb aioli, and coconut rice - Much healthier than our alternative to ordering out for a sub or pizza and more DELICIOUS! I don't own a microwave, so I was relieved that all the meals come with either oven or stove-top instructions. And so easy to scan the QR code on the meal containers to get the cooking instructions. I got updates on when my fresh meals would be delivered in a wonderful reusable, insulated bag with a giant ice pack. I could go on and on because everything met or exceeded expectations. We have been using their food Delivery Service this since August 23rd weekly- 29 different entrees and 48 different sides. We previously had long runs with 4 food kit services which lost their quality/delivery after a year or so. They all ran $150/week. F&F delivers locally prepared meals in their own vans so no Fedex or UPS issues and the food comes as it was packed. They have a optionally recyclable delivery bag with a permanent Ice pack and also offer recycling their boxes for an additional nominal fee. They also provide real time tracking on delivery and notices of any delay. With the other services I cooked the food kits and F&F comes cooked so just by that the proteins come - I guess necessarily? - generally overcooked for our taste. The vegetables and the salads are fresh and crisp. The re-heating instructions are mostly provided on the delivery slip and are - with a few variations - all virtually the same. "1-3 minutes in the microwave.....etc. " There is also a bar code on each item which links to the instructions. Some items oven cook only and are in metal trays which fit my air fryer. The grilled vegetables, potatoes, etc also reheat well in the air fryer. Wherever I rewarm, I use an instant thermometer (Thermapen) to check the rewarmed temperature - which is much lower than just cooked temperature! Of course everything is precooked so nothing can be raw. Almost all the sides have been good except for the overuse of coarsely chopped garlic and the overuse of avocado oil which has a flavor I don't like. Unlike other ones I tried F&F seems to change most of their menu every week so good for variety but the ones I liked may not be available for a while. Like other services, it's a struggle to find all the items each week that appeal to us. Sometimes we double up to fill the quota - which was not available on other services. Sometimes I don't serve the dishes as prepared or don't serve the sauce which thankfully is packed separately. Their customer service (from their website contact) promptly refunded only two meals I had issues with. They have an enlightened ordering scheme - If you don't place an order, you don't get a delivery (and are not charged). All the other subscriptions deliver meals that I would have never have ordered so F&F is great on this. We are continuing with F&F as overall it is better than the others I have tried. Of the Entrees the best I've tried are: - Buttermilk Roasted Chicken Legs - Classic Chicken Pot Pie - Classic Spaghetti & Meatballs - Simply Grilled Flank Steak - Vegetable Pot Pie - All of the fish are overdone and dry unless in a sauce. We stopped ordering salmon. The worst Entrees were: - Swedish Meatballs w/ Egg Noodles (got a refund!) - Pistachio Crusted Cod Fish (got a refund!) read more

First time I tried a service like this and I was really excited since living in a hotel gets old - had to wait for the order a bit long, when it arrived the sides were okay, the steak was bland but I could fix with adding ingredients, chicken was a bit dry but adding some sauce from a supermarket purchase made it work. The size of food images are misleading from website to what actually arrives - that was surprising to me, portions we're definitely smaller than expected. I was going to give F&F another try, increase the portions and change up the selections but the delivery service couldn't deliver for over a week. A bit disappointed to say the least. The greens are always super fresh and they have packaging that separates out the additional items (tomatoes, onions, cheese, etc) so nothing ever gets soggy.
