5 stars for B&M! We used them to cater our son's first birthday party this past weekend. It was a small gathering and I loved that B&M offered "baby buffets" for smaller groups. Ordering was a breeze and the B&M team was very responsive. On the day of our event, the catering delivery was right on time. The gentleman delivering, Dwayne, asked for a bit of direction for placement and then set up the entire buffet. He was professional, kind and fun to chat with while he set up. But the food... the food was phenomenal. Everyone kept saying we needed to order from B&M again. We did the clambake and it seemed the favorites were the clam chowder, the lobsters, the mussels and the cornbread but everything was great. All the extra pieces were included too, which was really helpful - from forks/knives to seafood crackers and ladles for the soup. We also had a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate - everything was cooked separately. I can't recommend them enough - they made hosting a fun party so easy and it will be a meal remembered for years to come. read more

I just wanted to say that B&M Catering was the best caterer that I ever used!! They catered my daughter's baby shower 07.19.2025 and all I heard from everyone how awesome the food was. Not one complaint about anything. The steak tips, Mac & cheese, lasagna, bbq spareribs and chicken just to name a few were a big hit with everyone!! Delivery went smoothly with an awesome girl (sorry forgot her name) you set everything up!! Guests actually wanted to take food home with them, which they did. B&M catered an outdoor Pig Roast on July 5, 2025. The onsite crew was the best, willing to accommodate without question. The crew, led by Kyle was the best. Would not hesitate to call on them again. We had a fantastic experience with B&M Catering. We had a clambake for 50 people and they were so very professional. Neat, clean, thorough, friendly, professional and paid a lot of attention to detail. Food was very good and was served in stainless servers and careful attention was paid to separate allergy items. B&M catered our Friday night clambake at the Narragansett Beach North Clubhouse. They were absolutely stellar in every way! Food, service, everything was excellent. Our clambake menu included a belly busting all star line-up of Lobster, BBQ Chicken, New England Clam Chowder, Steamed Clams & Mussels, Drawn Butter, Baked beans, Corn on the Cob, Red Bliss potatoes & Onions, Brown bread & butter, apple crisp, lemonade & coffee. The clambake runs between $50.99 and $57.99 per person depending on how many guests you'll have. We also added on a full open bar option that ran 4 hours and ran us $24.73 per person, including a bartender and insurance. The food was amazing!! The clam chowder had a lot of flavor and wasn't overloaded with potatoes, and yes, there were clams in the chowder. The steamed mussels and clams were also great- super fresh and super delicious. I passed on the beans and the potatoes, but let me tell you that the corn I had was great - a super large portion that was expertly cooked and tasted sweet and excellent. The lobster was so good- perfectly cooked and without any of the tough stringiness you get from a lobster that's been boiling in the pot a teense too long. One of the B & M guys pre-cracked the tail and claws to make your dining experience easier. Now I didn't expect to rave about the BBQ chicken at a clambake, but let me tell you the chicken was outstanding. So moist and tender with a really good barbecue sauce on top. And we finished off our feast with a scoop of apple crisp and a squirt of whipped cream. Thank you Brian and Mickey Doherty (The B & M in B&M). You did a bang up job for us. We used B & M to provide the meal for our backyard wedding celebration for my son and daughter in law. We ordered the pig & chicken bbq and everything was delicious and plentiful. We had the food delivered hot and also hired 2 servers to help. The servers were wonderful; very pleasant and accommodating. It was perfect and they boxed up the leftovers at the end of the event. Adding the servers was pricey but 100% worth it. My husband and I highly recommend B&M! read more

I had the pleasure of being able to enjoy B&M's food at a wedding this past Saturday. Everything was delicious. My favorites being the Swedish meatballs and mini pulled pork taco appetizers. The dinner buffet was quite impressive and the corn bread and steak tips were phenomenal! The staff was wonderful. A few of us were working in the kitchen at the start of cocktail hour to finish the wedding preparations and someone brought in a tray of appetizers specifically for us so we wouldn't miss out! WOW!!! Tried the personal clam boil and it was FANTASTIC! First it's packed in a RE-usable pot which I loved! The meal consisted of steamers, mussels, potatoes and chorizo along with sweet tender corn and a lobster!!! Huge winner! We did a custom menu of BBQ Steak Tips and Salmon which worked out perfectly. They even accommodated separate plates for allergies and vegan. Day-of service was also spot-on. Everything was on-time, delicious, and went so smoothly. Tim even came over to our table as soon as food was served to make us a plate of everything we wanted. We hired B&M to do a traditional clambake/lobster-bake for our May 2023 wedding in Massachusetts, and are SO happy we did! The food was absolutely incredible (all the guests gave rave reviews) and the service was lovely. A server even came out to us multiple times while we were taking photos far away from the main party, to give us appetizers so we didn't miss out! They did food, dessert, bar service + alcohol, as well as providing linens, china, etc. Our venue required that they stay the entire time and perform set-up and breakdown of furniture, which they were able to build into our proposal even though that is not usually how they do things. We were also able to add china, glassware, etc. through them, which elevated the whole clambake to be a bit more formal. We got the beer & wine bar package, and they were even able to switch out some drink options on our request! We worked with Gabriella in the months leading up to the wedding, who was lovely and really thorough. For the type and amount of food we got (tons of fresh shellfish!), along with the exceptional service, the prices are incredibly competitive compared to other "full-service" catering companies. Most other clambake companies we looked at did not seem to offer the level of customizable services that B&M provided. Overall, we were thrilled with their food & service, and would definitely recommend to anyone having a New England wedding or event! read more

We chose B&M to cater our August wedding and were absolutely thrilled with the results! From the initial tasting to final cleanup, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The selection of menu options is vast and flexible. The food is perfectly delicious and quantities generous. Any leftovers are boxed up for you to take home. As we finished our photo shoot during the cocktail hour, we were amazed to see the B&M staff folding up chairs and taking down decorations from our ceremony site - completely unasked! Tim and his team at B&M are awesome! We used them kind of last minute for our backyard wedding and they did a heck of a job. Even through all the different protocols and struggles with the pandemic, Tim was very responsive and supportive throughout the process of planning our backyard wedding. The quality of the food was superb! Nothing but compliments all night from our guests. The crew even packaged away ALL of the leftovers (and let me tell you there was A LOT of leftover food!) and they put it in our fridge, which to me is above and beyond. We also hired the bartender through B&M and he was super fun and kept spirits high even in the crappy weather. Would not recommend this company in the slightest. I gave them my credit card for a deposit on services, booked a bartender for our date and followed all of their instructions. Per our agreement, I called later to order the food and they didn't have any of my information (or my reservation) in their system. After trying to re-book and going back and forth with multiple employees, they simply stopped replying. If you want someone reliable for your event, I would not go with B&M. read more

I recently hosted an event with them and they were super easy to work with, offered us the world and extremely affordable. They did everything they promised and beyond! Several months in advance I started getting prices on different menu options & as the RSVP's started rolling in I would consistently e-mail at least once a week to make changes & get new rates. It seems like they definitely have a teamwork flow set up as my e-mail responses were by a variety of people & they were all very helpful. B&M catered our RI clambake wedding and they knocked it out of the park! As one of my city-dwelling bridesmaids said to me: "I expected to eat good food at your wedding, but that was some of the best wedding food I've had!" The lobsters were flavorful and cooked perfectly (AND pre-cut for easy, non-messy eating). Guests loved the handheld chowder and clamcake appetizers as well as the wieners (yes we did ;). B&M were a dependable, very-well organized, service-oriented, and an easy part of our planning. And most outstanding was the quality of the food - especially at their prices. Noteworthy: 1. we never felt pressured to buy anything but exactly what we wanted, 2. they honored the prices on their menu, despite having raised prices after we agreed on a date and menu, 3. they have extremely reasonable prices for bartending and open bar (such that we went with the full open bar), 4. their presentation was lovely and professional. Throughout the process, they went well-beyond was is expected of a wedding vendor. If I lived in RI, I would ask them to cater all of my events. read more

I wish there were more stars, I would rate B&M higher! I hired B&M catering for my friends 40th birthday party and I could not have been happier with the food or the service. Stephanie was great to work with to plan the event. She assured me I would feel like a guest at my own party and she was 100% right! She did not try to upsell me at all, she actually took down the number of apps I ordered and we had the perfect amount. Jason and Ally (on-site crew for the day) were so fantastic and took care of everything. They showed up early, were there throughout the event and made sure everything was all set/cleaned up before they left. They were available if we needed anything all day! Everyone at the party raved about the food and the service. We did the New England Lobster bake and while it was a little expensive it was totally worth it. We loved having B&M cater our 90 guest wedding at the botanical gardens. Right from the start they were so responsive and really open to all my changes. I would say they are extremely flexible and accommodating. The food at the wedding was even more delicious than the tasting and we are eating the leftovers now! When i set out looking for a caterer, I wanted to find someone who was willing to work with me on a menu, serve great food, and not be prohibitively expensive. Tim and his team at B&M turned out be just what i was looking for. They went above and beyond to make my wedding awesome and super fun, with family and friends still raving about the food months later. A little background: we had a family specialty dish that i asked Tim if they'd be willing to make. Portuguese meat on the stick. Fairly simple, but needs a few specific directions followed to come out right. Not only were they willing to try, they completely nailed it, never having made it before. My whole Portuguese family was impressed. The other menu items were outstanding, including the paella, linguiça, chowder, and literally everything. No one left hungry. The kids were happy, munching on all the variety of things we had. We also used B&M for our bar service, and found the open bar rates to be very reasonable. Bar staff was friendly and professional. I am so impressed with B&M's ability, and Tim's, really, to craft a menu specific to my needs that fit my budget. My wedding was a super success thanks to these guys!! will recommend to anyone looking to feed a group of people and have them all be super satisfied with tasty, fresh food. I regret hiring B&M and don't recommend them, especially for anyone's wedding. They sent very few workers to set up furniture and cook for a 90 person event. This caused us to ask guests and extra workers from the venue to help setup for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Because they sent out few workers, the cocktail hour food came out late. For the dinner buffet, it took a long time for the last table to be called to line up- I felt so bad for our hungry guests. To be fair, the food was good and our guests said they enjoyed it. In the end, I didn't get to take the leftovers home. They admitted to dropping the ball but why would you send so few workers in the first place? After I spoke with them they offered a 1% refund and a meal for two for the trays of food we didn't get to take home. From the tasting to the quick responses to questions beforehand, I was lead to believe things from their part would go smoothly and we'd have a better experience overall. I had higher expectations from the great reviews but they placed very little importance to our wedding. read more

They catered my huge wedding in Newport RI and did over the top phenomenal job! I can't thank them enough! I had a few last minute glitches with cancellations and they handled it amazingly well and packaged the food wonderfully for me at the end of the night. I'm so happy to have their amazing food for the next month (I froze it!) I felt so bad that my guest cancelled and weren't able to enjoy their amazing food that night but they totally missed out because it was some of the best steak chicken potatoes and mussels I have ever enjoyed! I cannot believed it was cooked it bulk! Absolutely incredible service they were so kind and thoughtful! They even set up my tables for my wedding including my centerpieces! It was all so beautiful I couldn't thank them enough. The bartenders they provided were so down to earth and respectful I will keep them in mind if I ever throw and large event or family gathering again they are some of the best people I have ever met! We got married!!!! We had our reception at Camp Meehan in North Providence. Lots of planning, lots of money, lots of craziness, lots of amazing food, lots of oops I guess my parents aren't coming to the reception because my Mom is throwing up and fractured her ankle. Lots of oops I forgot the toss bouquet in the car in another town. Lots of, I heard your mom's not doing well is she ok? and me answering I have no idea because my cell phone died hours ago.... Did I mention the amazing food!? Well the food was delicious. We met Tim back in the early spring as one does when one plans a wedding you set things well in advance. He gave us the most amazing feast you could ever imagine full of chicken, pork, some weird spaghetti thing that we didn't end up choosing. So much food we ate from it for a week. We decided we wanted a pig roast. They cook on site, bring everything and the guests just show up. The service was amazing too. Now I'm sure many brides say, "oh I didn't have time to eat at my wedding". Well the caterers actually came up to us as we were greeting people before dinner to ask us if we wanted any food or if there was any food we didn't want. I said sure just give us everything. So we indeed got everything.. pulled pork, roasted pork, chicken, corn bread, baked beans, rice. We eventually did sit down to eat it and I eat we did. My fian... I mean husband, mentioned at the tasting that he wanted the cheek meat so he got a separate plate full of cheek meat (Tim told me not to tell him so I didn't I'm shocked I kept that secret for as long as I did) and steak tips(which were delicious but we decided against due to affordability). Later on they gave the head table the pork ribs so we had some of those too. Then I proceeded to ask every other table if they wanted some. The server was so nice that she said that they'd do it for me. I also gave them a recipe for the cranberry sangria I make for the holidays. They made it and it was delicious too. Everyone said how delicious the food was. If a bride, or anyone, was looking for a pig roast I would recommend B&M catering no questions asked. They also decorated the tables for us. The Luau buffet was absolutely delicious and generous! The sliced pork was truly tender & favorable! All the side dishes were perfectly balanced and everyone enjoyed the variety. From the beautifully displayed table and quality plates & tableware, everything was done to perfection.
