I recently went to a game dinner hosted by the Cumberland Beagle Club. I will say I have been to a game dinner there before, and the food then was excellent as well! But this year, when I saw Ralph's trucks outside, I knew I was in for a treat. The food was incredible!! Seven courses of melt in your mouth goodness. And kudos to the whole crew who did an outstanding job making sure the event was a great success!! I remember when Ralph's was in the VFW. I worked right around the corner, so naturally I went there for lunch on occasion. My Mother ordered two dishes from Ralph's for a family celebration yesterday. We had the chicken marsala and the oven roasted potatoes. We went with an order for 25 people which was a nice size portion, the chicken came with plenty of sauce and was very moist. I have no reservations about my 5 stars - however, continue to read my review to make sure this place is the spot for you. So this restaurant is attached to a catering company. In order to find the entrance you have to go to the back of the building. The entrance is not overly obvious and you will feel like you're using the stage entrance at a theater. So the restaurant itself is informal and causal, which I adore. There is a bar but it is in its own separate room so the rest of the restaurant is usually pretty quiet. The bar is where the more raucous crowd tends to hang. I have never sat at the bar so I don't know too much about it. It can get super busy on peak restaurant nights but it's so worth it. The food is amazing, the portions enormous, and the prices inexpensive. It tastes like home cooked dinner at my Grandma's house on a Sunday. The pasta is amazing, the sauce on point, and as a vegan I have no trouble finding a variety of meals to eat (I do eat seafood). Last night I had a piece of swordfish twice the size of my face!! I have never not enjoyed a meal there as well as the other non-vegan people I have gone with. The staff are friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely want you to enjoy the experience. My Dad goes there so often they always bring him a Heineken when he arrives. It is handicapped accessible which is awesome. (My aunt is handicapped). Couldn't have been better. Ralph's catered a game diner at our location for 80 people. From the beginning Sharon worked with us to get everything just right. They supply everything and do all the service. We were very happy with the staff that showed up at our location and they did a super job and knew exactly what they were doing. While on site they worked with us through out the day to make sure we were not rushed at any time. As far as the food it is always perfect and better then you could expect. I have been to many events that they have catered and the food is always perfect. Yes it is inside of a VFW post and they do lot's of catering, but don't let that stop you from visiting. If you are in the mood for Grandma Quality Italian food, and aren't going to cook yourself, go see Ralph. Most menu items are less than $20, full bar, wonderful waitstaff, plenty of parking. There's a hidden review here that I agree with. The people here are great, and the delivery men were wonderful, but I was very disappointed with the food. The eggplant was soggy which indicated that it was frozen, and the antipasto was cubes of meat? No one touched it. I had heard and read rave reviews, so that was why I booked them, but the food did not at all live up to the hype. I did call them and they were kind and willing to give us a discount if we booked them again, but I'm not taking that chance. read more

Ralph and Mia catered our wedding and rehearsal dinner at Five Bridge Inn in Rehoboth, MA. We cannot rave enough about the food and service of Ralph's Catering! Ralph and Mia got all 240 of our guests through the dinner buffet in under 20 minutes - truly amazing! His staff went above and beyond in helping us to set up the centerpieces, using leftover flowers and greenery to decorate the buffet tables, and taking care of the wedding party. He even brought over a tray of sandwiches for us to eat while we were getting ready before the ceremony! Our guests still haven't stopped raving about the appetizers (Ralph even threw in an extra!), the delicious prime rib carving station and pasta sides, and of course the service. We highly recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp, panko crusted chicken tenders, mac and cheese shooters, caprese skewers, and pigs in a blanket for appetizers. The artisanal cheese station was out of this world, too! If you're looking for a caterer for your event - look no more, because it doesn't get better than Ralph's. In one word they are AMAZING!! everyone RAVED about the food, ralph himself was on site cooking and slicing the meats ath the carving stations throughout our dinner service. The excellent reviews was what made me decide to chose this venue for my baby shower which was today. I'm not sure if it was an off day but besides the food I have nothing good to say about this venue. If you are looking for a place for a special celebration I would not recommend this venue at all. First thing when we got there they asked us to pay. I didn't mind but then an hour later while I'm celebrating the arrival of my baby girl with friends and family they asked me again. About 2 hours into the party, people from the party after us starting coming through and putting their brand equipment in the back of the hall. Everyone got quiet while they slammed their instruments down. Literally 10 minutes later they were still loading stuff into the hall while my baby shower was going on. I was mortified! I told the waitress and bartender that was unacceptable and their response was "it's not a big deal". We'll I'm sorry after paying almost 1400.00 for this baby shower it is a big deal! Then around 3pm the waitress comes up to me and says "not to rush you but we have a party here at 5 and they need to set up as well" when I paid for the hours of 12-5! The rest time all they did was make me feel rushed. They had no consideration for my money, my time! I paid 125 dollars for the bar and they shut it down at 4pm. I would never recommend this venue and I do plan on writing a letter to the owner ! read more
