I keep trying haddock sandwiches EVERYWHERE - many of which are great - but not the perfect Tav version. Just the right size, crispy, flavorful and fresh. The fries - as a traditionalist I don't do sweet potato fries - but the regular ones are thin, hot, salty and oh so good. Wayne went for the NEW chopped Italian sandwich and it is already a favorite. As I'm writing this he says "I want one!". We usually sit at the bar - because if it is just us two we like to talk to each other and the bartenders - it is so comfortable.

Blackened shrimp were basically too spiced to eat without being scraped off, but that may well be just my opinion. The floor is wood but completely uncared for, literally black with use. Not dirty, mind you, just scraped bare and stained, no finish left. The overall impression was just skimpyness and a budget feel. But it has its loyal fans: a couple from MA said that they had driven up for it just to visit. Good for them. I'd rather go to Bernie's, which is immaculate but no bar, or pay the money and go to Sicilian.

I really liked both the Picnic and Connecticut! The rolls came with a tiny piece of lemon, but I did feel like the rolls needed more acidity. I felt like those were pretty classic flavors that let the flavor of the lobster speak for itself! The bread was super fluffy and buttery, a really nice pairing with the sweet lobster mixture. One thing I didn't like was that the bread could've been cut a bit deeper so I didn't need to take a bit of the lobster and then a bite of the bread. A single bite would've made the experience better.

The wines were reasonably priced - we had a Mas Josephine Côtes du Rhône, which paired nicely with the pasta.

They're fun and yummy. I've never had a bad taco there, actually. At prime time, getting a seat there can be daunting, and parking can be hell, but not worse than on the peninsula. I really like this place!…read more I come here a couple times a week for lunch. They have two really good vegetarian sandwiches - the caprese and Sierra. Sometimes they have an egg salad sandwich on special too. Love that they offer a deli pickle - mmmm they're so good and at $1.29 a pretty good deal. I also started ordering their salads this week, and they are delicious. Really fresh greens, plentiful ingredients, and pretty dang reasonable at $10 for the amount you get. The pepperoncinis are sometimes kinda weird tasting, but I think it might be because they're slightly pickled? Just be aware of that. Really friendly service in here, and they have plentiful cheese and meat options, as well as wine and other goodies. Love that they carry Dead River chips! They don't skimp on ingredients, and that's the most important thing to me. Everything is fresh, the people are nice, you can order online - what's not to like? Try em out!

Our family shared fries and tater tots (they were big portions - good value for money). While the fries were great, and the tater tots were pretty good, and the fish and chips were also decent, the portion was small for $20. Based on what I saw on the menu, what I got was the regular sized fish and chips. Service was okay but could have been better. Overall what we had were all satisfactory. Just hoped that if there are two available sizes of something, they would confirm which one the customer wants.

The breakfast sandwich on brioche (instead of English muffin) and added spicy candied bacon for an extra charge. The bacon was so tasty...it added so many layers of flavor to the sandwich. Highly recommend! The eggs Benedict was great too...we got it without the broccolini, the sausage was homemade and tasted very savory, and the hollandaise was rich and creamy. The service was great. Hot coffee kept coming around, the food came out fast. We also tried the fried zucchini sticks which were very lightly breaded and fried perfectly, they were still a tiny bit crunchy, and the batter was very crispy. The dipping sauce was a goat cheese aioli which was a perfect pairing for the zucchini. I would order this again. The bread and butter was divine, the burrata... superb. We were hesitant on what to get for dinner and decided on the Caesar salad with steak (cop out entree choice, which I can acknowledge). We got four little pieces of steak, were not asked about the temp of our steak, and the salad was something you could buy at a store. I am aware that a Caesar salad is by no means a complex choice, but you would figure with the local and better than chain style vibes, the Caesar would give at least those large chunks of Parmesan. The menu said "anchovies, sourdough croutons, Parmesan". There were no anchovies, the dressing tasted watered down or barely there (the dressing is everything in an "upscale" Caesar salad imo) and the Parmesan was small, and gave no flavor. I would 100% go here again, although I was not satisfied with my entree. Every other meal that went past us was divine looking, and I think unfortunately the flaw in this restaurant is their Caesar salad, but everything else made it so worth it!
