Wow, what a find. This bakery is completely gluten-free, with some items even dairy free. We came away with a loaf of the honey white bread, a slice of blueberry breakfast cake, a blueberry and cardamom roll, an apple cinnamon mini bundt cake, a chocolate whoopie pie, and a sourdough baguette. So far the sourdough baguette, and whoopie pie have been amazing.

Bam Bam Bakery, offering entirely gluten-free food options, has found a home in Falmouth filling a gap in our food scene in Greater Portland! Whatever you're looking for - pies, whoopie pies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, lemon squares, needhams, brownies, eclairs, tiramisu, breakfast sandwiches, and breads - they have it... and more (it's important to note that selection may vary depend on [time of] day)! Many of these options are even vegan. I've tried several of their both gluten-free and vegan options now, but unfortunately they just aren't for me. The peanut butter fudge, the turnover-like pastry, and the chocolate raspberry tart I had were all so, so grainy in texture. I found them to be surprisingly hard to bite into as well (y'know, when you have to use your side teeth just to nibble something off?)! I understand I'm not their demographic (I'm plant-based, not GF), so - going against the grain here - to me it all definitely tastes like gluten-free baked goods and I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit. If you are their demographic however, you'll probably be delighted to have a bakery where you can get some classic treats! And for reasonable prices too!

Love this spot so much...I'm here almost daily. YES, EVERYTHING! Is gluten free The brownies are my absolute favorite, but they have hot sandwiches (yes, with GF buns), pizza and tons of premade items ready for the taking! The staff is always so helpful and happy

Staff were so friendly and helpful. So many options to choose from. The fresh smells of baked goods in the air and knowing I could eat any of it being gluten free. They also have vegan options. I grabbed a bagel breakfast sandwich and a warm cinnamon roll which was to die for. I even bought a pie for later

Such a wonderful gluten free bakery! Can't wait to go back! So many delicious options! I ordered a variety of things and I was not disappointed. The BEST item I got was a cinnamon bun, and I got it right out of the oven The other items were the lemon bar, whoopie pie, raspberry almond breakfast cake, coconut bread, breakfast sandwich, and a pack of frozen bagels. Everything was a hit, but bagels would be at the bottom of the list. There's a small area to eat and enjoy your finds. A lot of people seemed to order to-go and they might even take pre-orders. If you're in Portland, you HAVE to go! Small parking lot, but right off the throughway.

The Maine lobster roll (mayo-based) was good with a slightly lemony flavor maybe but expensive at $41 - maybe that's the going rate but it seemed slightly high. They have a three smaller lobster roll flight but I am pretty sure it's the same price as just buying three small lobster rolls. The mac and cheese was disappointing. It had a slightly slimy texture and the pasta was mushy. The clam chowder was fine but tasted like it had been reheated and not made all that recently. I had a lobster roll from their food truck a few years ago that I ate outside on a summer day and it felt special. This visit did not feel that way and instead more of a perfunctory meal. I think more attention to detail on the sides and no lobster rolls in the 40 dollar range for what feels like a casual establishment would be improvements.

They take reservations (including for brunch on the weekends) and it's super easy to do online. How many places in this city are doing this? The answer is: still not many. 2. Their menu is clearly labeled with what's vegan and vegetarian. No guessing here, and the staff has always been quick to double-check with the kitchen if there are any questions or concerns. Segue... 4. There are places in town now charging $8 to $10 for ONE TACO. And they're sometimes quite small. The tacos here average between $4.75 and $6.50 for creative, flavorful, interesting, filling options (also you can get them on either flour or corn, no upcharge). The menu changes from time to time, and I wish they'd bring back the fried yuca taco, but the solid vegan solid options right now are Adobo Sweet Potato, Fried Plantain, and Crispy Tofu. Segue... 5. The taquitos, brussel sprouts, and cheesecake are all vegan. Segue... 6. The brunch (10am to 2pm, Saturday and Sundays) options for vegans are probably the most impressive in town: tofu or chorizo or fresh avocado tacos, huevos rancheros, churro french toast, avocado toast, chimichangas. 7. The Mexican cold brew might change your life (... or at least make you really happy when you're playing hooky from work and having an 11am drink). Switch the tequila for house whisky, skip the vespertino, ask for a side of oat milk... no changes to the price when doing this, by the way, because they're THAT kind of place that isn't trying to punish you constantly with extra fees. 8. The staff is so accommodating, they're thoughtful, they check-in just the right amount. Sure, I've had a few bad experiences here, but overall... sit at the bar, make a friend, and just ask/just talk to them if you're missing something/need something etc. 9. The atmosphere here is Portland right before it became too cool (IYKYK). It's casual and relaxed, it can be intimate and loud when it's busy, it feels quite trendy yet still approachable when they've got their newly updated outside area set-up. 10. It's off peninsula which also changes the demographic and vibe entiiiiiiiiiirely. For the good. 6/5 no notes.

I decided to order a large sandwich on a sub roll, and my partner ordered a large on white bread. Noticed after placing the order that the entire place smelled heavily like burnt motor oil (I originally thought it was the customer ahead of me) so I assume they recently had some heating issues. They definitely should have aired it out and scrubbed the walls because not only does it stink, it's probably unhealthy and unsanitary. Food came out quickly enough, but the "large" sub roll is apparently no more than 7 inches long and not very filling. Both sandwiches were served on stale bread (the white bread was particularly stale) and were definitely overpriced - our lunch of two sandwiches while splitting a soda and chips cost about 40 dollars and neither one of us felt full.
