You walk into the Sicilian Table and see high ceilings with beautiful aquatic decor. The hostess was extremely friendly and so was the waitress. I sat outside because the weather was amazing. Started with BOGO appetizers (meatballs and arancini - both delicious). I wanted something light and refreshing, so got the berry and feta salad. My husband is a big fan of their seasonal Negronis, and they're always creative and well-balanced. I usually can't resist ordering from the specials menu because they never disappoint. If you're looking for tried-and-true favorites, though, you can't go wrong with the chicken parm, carbonara, or the seared scallops. Every meal we've had has been outstanding. The atmosphere is another reason we keep coming back. During the day it's bright, warm, and welcoming, while in the evening it transforms into a cozy, intimate space that's perfect for a date night. The service is consistently excellent. Even on the rare occasion when you can tell a newer server is learning the ropes, the staff works together seamlessly to provide a great experience. We dined at the Sicilian Table as a family of seven adults celebrating a birthday. The restaurant is gorgeous with an upscale coastal vibe and service was delightful. I was surprised there was a singer on a Monday evening, which added to the vibe. Our server was delightful and we never felt rushed. For appetizers, we shared the whipped goat cheese with flatbread, which was a huge serving as well as the truffle fries with Parmesan, which were enjoyable. My entrée was the chicken Marsala with fettuccine which was delicious and large enough for two servings. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but prices are as expected for the quality and quantity of food. If you are in Falmouth Maine, I highly recommend a stop into the Sicilian Table. I was a little skeptical about trying this restaurant since it looks like a nouveau themed Italian restaurant which is located in the parking area of a shopping complex. Upon entry it has a unique appearance with modernist Italian decor wall decorations, overhead lighted fish, multiple seating levels, aged wood paneling, etc. The waitress was prompt, friendly and helpful. I opted for Shrimp Scampi. It was loaded with shrimp, not just placed on the top of the pasta as is so common. Delicate seasoning that was Italian, but with less garlic, sage and oregano than is typical. Fresh basil added an unexpected sweetness to the dish. Another amazing happy hour! While we were initially disappointed that the drink we wanted was gone, the crabapple margarita was soooo good! We had gluten free focaccia (that was as expected, definitely hard to find good gf bread) but also delicious truffle fries. You have to get there early as happy hour is over at 5 but it was worth it. A year after I reviewed, I continue to be very happy with Sicilian Table. The food, the service, and location are great. The food isn't standard - there's a bit of flair to most of their dishes. While, I love it, it's important to pay attention to the ingredients. For example, I ordered a haddock sandwich during my last visit and I was expecting just mayo or tartar sauce and it was more tangy/zippy like a mustard. It was good just not what I was expecting/assumed. The fries - YUMMMY Our server was awesome! She checked in, gave us space and enthusiatically engaged with us when appropriate. I credit her for us trying the goat cheese and pita appetizer. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Our mocktails were delish and the envirment was comfortable per usual. Our most recent visit was for my birthday, and I can honestly say the service was almost better than the food, but really, it's a tie. Our server was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is beautiful, spanning multiple levels with such a cool atmosphere, especially the unique hanging fish sculptures. Every single thing on the menu is insanely delicious. The food is just as unique with gourmet twists but still reasonably priced. I had veal parmesan, the largest serving I've ever seen. The pasta on the side had a creamy tomato sauce with just a touch of heat. Our waiter, Max, was attentive and friendly. He seemed to love his job. We come to the Sicilian Table every summer while we are up in Maine, but the issue is always the same: the service is extremely slow. And unfortunately, this year the food was about as good as the food at the Olive Garden. The bread "hot out of the oven" was hot on the outside, cold on the inside, the spaghetti carbonara was mushy and gloppy, the chicken piccata was tepid (and if we hadn't had to wait for so long to be served I would have sent it back to be reheated) with the pasta sitting in a pool of sauce, the short rib was stringy and tepid, and our waiter kept disappearing for long stretches of time. If you know and expect to have real Italian food don't come here. read more

But historically hit-or-miss food and higher prices have always held it back for me. My wife and I tried the new Sunday brunch menu today. The Good: -It's easy parking and you can actually walk in with no wait and no reservations. There's also essentially unlimited bar seating, which is always my preference. -The restaurant really is stunning. There's no comparable brunch spot in terms of classiness. -The two entrees we had were great! The braised lamb ($19) in the omelette was tender and spicy with the tzatziki to cool it down. The wife's 8 ounce steak was perfectly medium rare and slathered in butter. She loved dipping it in the poached eggs. The Bad: -The steak and eggs was $40. Most expensive brunch dish in greater Portland? -Mimosa's are $13 in tiny champagne flutes. This should be a crime and might be a dealbreaker. You can order it in a pint glass with ice for $14. Great. A mimosa is such an essential element of Sunday brunch that overpricing them to this extent is unforgivable. You can oddly get a flight of 4 (different flavored) mimosas for $50 but must have at least two people. What the heck is going on here? Sicilian Table brunch is a very solid option that unfortunately might be too oriented towards the Falmouth crowd. If you're ok with the prices, it's a hassle-free experience with excellent elevated food. read more

First time visiting this restaurant I had heard the food was amazing. I made a reservation online thru google and arrived for dinner. When we got there they said we made it for the next night. I was like great, the hostess was like don't worry it happens a lot but told us we could stay and sit outside in the bar area. We decided we would stay and check it out anyway. We were pleasantly surprised that there was 2 sections both equally beautiful. I enclosed in glass with full length doors that opened or closed depending on the weather and one are with seating and table fire pits. I chose inside because it was evening and was starting to get a little cooler. Our waitress was wonderful she brought our drinks right away. I had the Prickly Pear Lemon Drop Martini, and a Spicy make your own margarita. Both equally delicious. For our appetizers we started with the focaccia bread which came with 3 spreads (pesto garlic, ricotta, and marinara) this was a beautiful display, the Italian Bang Bang Shrimp and Waygo crostini. They also brought a loaf of homemade bread and olive oil dip. Now even after all these delicious snacks dinner arrived. The Chicken Marsala, and the seafood Shrimp Fra Diablo, and also a side of homemade pasta with homemade marinara. The dessert that we tried was the homemade lemon ricotta bar with strawberries.. The dinner was delicious. The staff is amazing and very attentive in the ambience was wonderful. We had gone inside to use the ladies room and I'm glad I sat outside because I think inside was a little cold, but it was a great experience overall and I cannot wait to go back again. I definitely give this restaurant a 10 out of 10 the food is beautifully handcrafted and fresh and I have to say there was a family with two small children sitting next to us. One had to be about four years old and was eating the oysters, she loved them, and you would never even know there was children in the restaurant so well behaved. They have the best chicken parm I've had in a long time! Walked in on a Friday evening with no reservation, and it was an hour/hour and a half wait, so I definitely recommend making one. We surprisingly found the last seats down at the bar and thought it was better than waiting for a table (the bar area is not that loud, and it was full). We started with some brussels sprouts and the focaccia, which comes with marinara, pesto, and garlic ricotta. Bread comes out hot with a drizzle of oil; it was divine. I was pleased they are very gluten free friendly, as they have GF pasta, and more than half of the dishes can be made GF. I decided on the chicken parm. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the pasta was a nice portion but didn't leave me feeling completely stuffed. My dad said his carbonara was good and not too heavy with the sauce. We also got dessert and decided on the flourless chocolate mousse cake. It has the perfect combo of chocolate and jam. Some chocolate desserts are too rich for me, but this is light and fluffy and we were able to finish it all. A pizza dough stuffed with most succulent tender beef. Big enough to share, hard not to finish. The truffle fries were over the top. So parmed and truffled! Our server, Sophia was a pro. Visited the Sicilian Table for dinner. Even after several snow storms, the parking lot was well plowed and the walkway access was clean. Dry, and safe. The decor is beautiful and classy, similar to the Tuscan Table sister restaurant. I tried the chicken parmigiana - absolutely perfect in preparation and presentation. Our drinks were also decorated beautifully, and the special margaritas were amazing. The service was good, but a little slow. The tables were also a bit too close for my liking. It was raining when we went so we sat inside but the outdoor seating looks so nice! We ordered some drinks and a handful of appetizers which were all very good. We got the Truffle Papas, focaccia, whipped goat cheese, and the Italian Bang Bang shrimp. My husband loved the whipped goat cheese and the Bang Bang shrimp was definitely my favorite. Jen was our waitress and was wonderful - got me the Sunday Sicilian Sauce with spaghetti instead of rigatoni. So generous I could finish just half of it. They serve raw oysters- had six, perfectly shucked. We had fine coffee, no deserts. Have to go back, soon. My boyfriend and I made a reservation as we went on a Friday evening. It's a huge place! There is a ton of outdoor and indoor seating. There is a ton of parking. The restaurant is accessible by stairs or ramp. They do have handicap accessible bathrooms as well. We were seated right away, upstairs. That was accessible by stairs. It was gorgeous inside. Great decor and tons of seating. There are bars outside, on the first floor, and upstairs. Our service was great. We got bread and oil for the table. Our waters were always filled. I started with the strawberry gin splash. It was refreshing and tasty. My second drink was a strawberry margarita which was awesome! My boyfriend got the chicken Parmesan which was so delicious. Thick, fresh pasta. Delicious sauce and yummy cheese. I got the risotto special with grilled shrimp. My one complaint was that although my dish was picture perfect, they left the tails on the shrimp so I had to pull them off. They were grilled so I got super messy and I feel like with pasta dishes you should not have to get your hands in it. Otherwise, it was delicious. The dinner portions were perfect sizes for the cost. Totally worth it. The only other downside was that it was crazy hot inside and no air flow at all. I'd love to come back during happy hour for drinks and appetizers. Had a nice happy hour experience in the bar area recently. I arrived a bit before the others and sat at the bar. I ordered the spicy passion fruit margarita. The bartender told me it was his recipe and he'd throw it out if it was too spicy. It ended up being delightful. When the other 3 people arrived, there wasn't room at the bar (the place filled up quick for happy hour), the bartender offered to put 2 extra chairs at a cocktail table. These tables only had 2 seats and it did feel weird having 2 extras added and sitting in the area where people walk, but it was the only choice. Larger tables require a reservation and actual dinner service. Drinks are half price during happy hour so we had cocktails and then red wine. Eventually we each ordered bar appetizers. I got the crab arancini and the truffle fries. I was really excited about the crab arancini but it wasn't Maine crab and I didn't like it. The fries were great though and my husband was happy to have the crab brought home. I'll admit, I couldn't even tell where the entrance was so I wasn't sure where to park. I figured it out after driving around the building a couple times. I'd visit again for HH but would like to order more substantial food. The menu sounded great. read more

My husband and I went for a date night dinner here. I have been in a couple of times before, and it was kind of hit or miss. This night was definitely a hit. We started with the fried calamari, which was a huge bowl of lightly breaded and fried rings and tentacles. Very crispy, with a good remoulade to dip. For an entrée, I had the haddock piccata. This was a huge piece of fresh fish, lightly breaded for pan frying. It came with several fingerling potatoes and perfectly cooked broccolini in a lemony piccata sauce. I could only eat half of the fish and took home the rest of the meal. The fish was very flaky and moist. My husband had the chicken Parmesan, which was a huge piece of breast meat. It was very crispy, but he felt that it was a little overcooked because of how thin it was pounded. I tried it and thought it was just right and not overcooked at all. The homemade pasta was al dente, and the sauce was very flavorful with a good blanket of cheese. While this is not a cheap night out for dinner, I felt that the portion sizes were respectable for the price. We sat in the bar area, and the bartenders who waited on us were attentive and on their "A" game. Of course the decor in there is so elegant and tastefully done. The chairs at the tables in the bar were comfy, although I needed to put the pillow under me to give me a little rise up to the table. Although there were plenty of empty tables, we were originally seated in front of the kitchen at a table near a fan blowing from the kitchen. Two in our party ordered the calabrian steak & cheese mezzaluna, one ordered a pizza. They were happy! I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich. It was dry, overcooked and pretty flavorless! Every bite of the vegetable tagine was an explosion of flavors. The vegetables had the tang and spice of turmeric and paprika and the cous cous had a slightly sweet flavor of fresh mint. All of the root vegetables were cooked to perfection, nothing was over cooked. There were four people in our party with varying tastes and everyone enjoyed their meals. The restaurant is thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. You would never know you were in a strip mall, once inside. Our server was prompt and polite. The only problem was with the seating. We chose the restaurant based on the availability of parking close to the building, as one of the people in our party has limited mobility. Although we had a reservation, we didn't realize that the majority of the tables require the ability to climb a number of stairs. Although we asked for a table on the ground floor, and it was clear that one of the people in our party had a cane, the young host still gestured to seating up the stairs. Ultimately we were seated on the ground floor but between the noisy kitchen and server station which diminished the experience. We started with the Lobster bisque which was tasty, but a bit too liquidy and wish it had more lobster meat. 6.4/10 Calamari was good, big portion, pretty fresh too. 7.2/10 Arugula salad was great, super filling from the beets. A little under dressed but in my opinion is better than being over dressed. 6/10 Chicken Parm was a little dry and I wasn't a big fan of the plastic like cheese. First off, this new restaurant is spectacular with the decor!! The decorative wooden fish hanging from the ceiling is amazing. The bar area is friendly. I could live without the community sinks outside the bathrooms. I started with the Smokey Chai, which was fantastic. The flavors blend to create a very warm drink for a cold afternoon. I didn't feel like cooking last night so decidedI would try The Sicilian Table, I was by myself so I went early. They had half off drinks. For 1/2 offs I usually try something I haven't had before, I tried the Gold Rush, it was a bourbon 2 different orange liquors, it was out standing, I'd order it again. Then I tried the Baratta Caprice Salad, the best I've ever had here or in Rome, the tomatoes were at their peak on a bed of Arugula, sprinkled with a few strawberries, there were half doz of thinly sliced toasted crostini and the baratta, there was a nice drizzle of basalmic glaze over all, a perfect salad. My entree chosen was the Chicken Lemon , chicken thighs roasted til crispy on top of a pasta with Alfredo sauce, which was unfortunately slightly curdled, to bad the chef didn't notice it before he put it on the pasta, it's so easy to repair. I had a few bites and left the rest. I ordered dessert which was a Strawberry/ Rhubarb layered on a shortbread crust, some lemon curd, topped with Mascarpone... absolutely yummy The Alfredo sauce blooper knocked a star off. But I would go back again just for that Baratta Caprisi! I'm an old lady and don't take pictures of my food, we didn't do that in my day, but I wish I did just for the salad! read more
