A group of four of us waited a short time period for an outdoor seating option. The service was great. We created our own buffet with lobster rolls - with a curry couscous, six little neck oysters from the raw bar, lobster corn chowder, shrimp cocktail, fred zucchini, Calamari and various N.A. beverages. Everything was very good. The zucchini had summer squash also -skin was tough. Wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the view and fresh air.

Thankfully we had a reservation because I wasn't prepared for how busy it would be at 12:30 on a Friday. Our party of five was seated right away at a table outside, and given menus. There was sort of a mixup with the menu--apparently there was an "old" specials insert in my menu and they didn't have what I tried to order. I ended up going with the beet and goat cheese salad and a glass of sangria. The salad was fresh and delicious, however smaller than expected. I enjoyed the sangria. The crème brûlée I ordered for dessert was quite good as well. Overall, I'd say this is a good place to go for a leisurely lunch. The view of the marina is beautiful and you will not feel rushed if you are there to catch up with friends. (We arrived at 12:30 and left it was after 3!) However, I can see how someone looking to get in and out might be disappointed with the pace of the service.

On our way from Massachusetts to Maine and it was time for lunch. My husband had recently been to Dockside Grill and we were nearby so off the highway we went. Proximity to I295 is good so this can be a place for lunch when traveling. We were dining in November so the upstairs of the restaurant was open but not the downstairs area which is seasonal. We were greeted and seated quickly. Server was friendly and we received our drinks soon after ordering. Food was a bit slow to appear and the check at the end of the meal even slower. The restaurant has a nautical wood theme and with lots of windows showing off a great view of the ocean. However, the space lacks a warmth and feels stark and cold. We ate at a high top in the bar area and our table seemed to be just there in the middle of things. It felt odd. The bar was fairly empty and I do mean the bar. Just a few bottles of liquors and some glasses. Certainly a lack of ambiance. My lobster roll was fine, not one I would order again as it lacked flavor. It was served in a grilled bun and while it was nice to see grill marks on the bun, the bun was very cold, like it was grilled earlier and taken from the refrigerator just before serving. My husband's salmon BLT was good. Easy parking in a big lot and nice restrooms.

It was a sunny, warm day and we were looking for a place where we could get a lovely lunch, have a glass of wine and enjoy the ocean breeze. Dockside Grill fit every bill! We had lovely seats at the bar with a view of the boats and the harbor. Our bartender, Juliana, was wonderful. We ordered the fish and chips and crab cakes, two dishes that we love to try and we can share them back and forth. The fish and chips were perfectly fried, light and crispy. The crab cakes were amazing and the sauce was to die for (it also worked pretty well w/the haddock!) We washed it all down with a lovely Sonoma Cutrer. All in all a wonderful time and we will be back!

If you don't have a reservation don't bother, if you do prepare for bland overpriced shitty sea food.

Perfect as I always think it's better to eat at the bar rather than drink in the restaurant. I started off with a Manhattan which was very well made and opted for the signature menu and wine pairing. The first course was delicata squash with pepitas, mushrooms, and a poblano crema. It was good and not extremely memorable. Course 2 was tuna tartare with potato pave and what I would call a small yellow beet salad on top. The tuna was lightly dressed with an aioli. I thought it was very good. Next came what I felt was the best course of the meal (at a $20 supplement). 2 claws worth of extremely fresh warm buttered lobster on a fresh croissant. Outstanding. Next was seared salmon with several slices of radish atop a creme fraiche vermouth sauce. The salmon was cooked well, it was super tasty. In my humble opinion there was way too much sauce. It filled the bottom of the plate. For dessert I went with a local soft cheese which was a nice and light finish. The decor of the restaurant was great and the service impeccable. I'd highly recommend this spot.

The food is good, the service is friendly...except for some teenagers who need a little more customer service training, but they are young and haven't been coached enough yet. For example...the teenage hostess, before even saying hello, good evening, welcome, asked us if we had a reservation, without a shred of a smile. We said no, and she walked us to a table, at which time we decided to sit at the bar for better view of the outside space, and slightly further from the live music. Keep in mind there is no air conditioning. The evening we went it was hot. We sat at the bar, and the sun was to my back through the open garage doors. It was so beautiful, and although there were fans, they didn't do much to cool it off. I love the heat so I didn't mind. I really like the vibe here...very casual, beautiful rustic setting. The owner was the only person taking orders and serving. After being served, at least 45 minutes after placing our orders, on paper plates, she disappeared into the kitchen. Waited 20 minutes into our meal to ask for salt and pepper. She brought them over while talking on her cell phone, and my husband had to show her his empty glass to order a refill....which came 15 minutes later. So, in a nutshell, disappointing.....not great food, not great service. Will not be returning.

Let's start with the cocktails, because they truly deserve top billing. I always order the seasonal espresso martini, and somehow it just keeps getting better. This time it was tiramisu-inspired, and it was unreal. Rich, balanced, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like the dessert without feeling heavy. Whoever is behind that bar knows exactly what they're doing. The fish and chips? You cannot go wrong. Perfectly crisp batter, flaky fish, and fries that hold their own. It's one of those dishes you order once and then find yourself thinking about days later. That said, everything we've tried over multiple visits has been consistently excellent. It's the kind of menu where you feel safe branching out because you know it's going to deliver. The space itself adds to the whole experience. The architecture is beautiful, with warm wood tones and big windows that bring in natural light and make the river views part of the meal. It manages to feel polished and special without being stuffy. You can dress up a little or come in relaxed and still feel right at home. And the service is always attentive in that effortless way. Our servers have consistently been knowledgeable, present, and genuinely welcoming without hovering. It makes the whole night feel easy.
