Rivalries has always been awesome. I went with my mom for dinner. We were sat immediately. They have their own private parking lot. Entrance and bathrooms are handicap accessible. The prices are great for portions and quantities. My mom got a Prosecco and I got the strawberry coconut margarita. It was fantastic. I had to order two. My mom got the sweet chili chicken salad which was awesome. Huge portion. I got the chicken bomb with truffle fries. The sandwich was delicious with Swiss cheese melted on the chicken, peppers, and onions. The truffle fries were fantastic. I couldn't stop eating them. Our server was awesome as well. She checked in just enough and was great. I will continue to come back!

Anytime we are in Falmouth we stop in, their happy hour deals are great and the service is awesome. The bar and ambiance is really laid back, we love to watch the Bruins play there. Food is good it's pub style but definitely yummy. I like their wings and burgers, burrito bowls as well!

This review is over Rivalries curbside service (during the COVID-19 shutdowns). Our take out order was done in 20-25 mins, just as they estimated. My sister and I couldn't decide what to get so we split both the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the sweet Thai chili wrap with onion rings. We requested that they be cut in half or a plastic knife be included, to which they happily obliged. The person who brought the food out was fast and cheery. The packaging was uplifting and made us feel appreciated , with a cute little thank you note attached and a printed heart. The food matched the service-- outstanding! The amount in the packages was reasonable for what we paid. The fries were freshly cut, the rings beer battered and both perfectly crisped. The sauces on the pork and chicken were delectable. We especially loved the sweet chili. Neither of us like foods that are too spicy. This was just the right amount of zip at the end of each bite. Well done, Rivalries! We can't wait to visit again!

I always feel bad writing low reviews. But yikes. I came here last night to meet up with a friend for drinks and dinner. Rather than do my usual paragraph, I'll do an easier breakdown of all my feelings... PARKING - not enough of it. For some reason this place is BUMPIN, even though it's somewhat hard to find and doesn't have a big sign. People were parked on the surrounding streets. Get here early. AMBIENCE - big, open, sporty. Plenty of tables. SO MANY TVS. I guess if you're a big sports fan, this would be a dream. I was entertained by the MASSIVE black and white prints of iconic sports moments (ARod getting pwnd by Varitek, Tom Brady being emo, etc). BAR - full and staffed well. However, I sat here for 45 minutes waiting for my friend to arrive. I ordered a beer then, and two more over the course of dinner. I asked for the tab for the beers. It was THIRTY DOLLARS. THIRTY! Someone else mentioned that that would not happen in Portland, and they are right. Like, come on people. BATHROOMS - clean. Freezing. The little plug in heater didn't do much. Could also see lines forming as there are very few stalls for such a large place. FOOD - this is where I was most disappointed. The menu is oddly overpriced for what they're serving... mostly pub fare and fried apps. Also, as someone else Yelped, there are ADDITIONAL PRICES for lettuce, tomato, and cheese.... what?! This isn't New York City. This is Falmouth, Maine. The burgers are already priced higher than Portland, and to add additional fees for what should already be on the burger? YIKES. Because of this, I skipped the Blue Mango burger and went with the Portobello Sandwich, as this is something that is very difficult to mess up. But somehow they messed it up. Per the menu: "GRILLED PORTABELLO Balsamic marinated portabello with lettuce, tomato, red onion and basil mayo on a toasted Kaiser." 10 bucks. LOL at the painful typo. This was a pancake-flat mushroom with a little leaf of lettuce and an onslaught of toenail-like red onions. It was really depressing. So bland. My beers were way more filling than the little dollop-sized mushroom. Usually, I can forgive places for not having many vegetarian options. But the one veg option you have.... is this bad? OOF. French fries were good. That was about it. I always ask for ranch on the side for my fries, but as I was worried they'd charge me my UNBORN CHILD for a side, I did not. TL;DR - normally, I say "come here for the drinks, skip the food," or "come for the food and skip the drinks." I say skip this place altogether. Sorry.

Daughter and I both had salads. Very large bowls, fresh ingredients. Both delicious. Service was great. We would go back again.

Good service. Variety of options including some healthier if you want to avoid typical pub food. Sports bar type pub lives up to the name.

Portland has needed an indoor mini golf course for a decade or more, so it's about time we get one!…read moreAnd Minibar has done SUCH A GOOD JOB representing Maine here: every hole is 207 themed, so expect local sports teams, locally loved institutions and hobbies and places. Be sure to take time to read the screen at each hole because there's some fun facts specific to that theme! On that note: I appreciate how tech forward they are here. You'll be given a unique number before you start playing, at each hole you enter it on the corresponding screen, do your scoring digitally, then move on. If you need the server, there's also little buttons on each screen to call them over. But, to their credit, they do a fantastic job organically making sure to get around to everyone to take your drink orders! A couple constructive criticisms: - Do people not know how to play mini golf? We had several other customers give us a hard time for being in their way... but we were playing 1 through 18 while lots of other people were just kind of bopping around to whatever hole they wanted. - There's a couple cornhole sets right in the middle of the course, and it can be very congested if folks are playing that while you're trying to play golf (you will literally be in the way of them throwing). - Golf is currently $20 per person. PRO TIP: make a reservation and pay in advance online, then create a tab for your drinks when you arrive. We made a spontaneous decision to visit, and while they were super accommodating!, our round of golf for two people and the two drinks we had were all tabbed out at the same time... which means we were tipping 20%+ on two drinks AND our golf. Honestly? That feels sneaky. I'd rather just have multiple charges on my card. - Skip the cocktails. I'm not sure I'm the demographic: I'm a childless adult who went with my partner, had a cute/fun time, but after that initial novelty? I don't know that I'd need to come back here. I guess it would be to bring family or friends from out of town/out of state to "do something" if the weather wasn't great. I think if you're a family, though, this could be a great place to come and play! Kids can kind of run around safely here!

Asking a few questions helped us a lot since it was our first time trying this place…read more There are waitstaff walking the mini golf floor who will take your drink orders. There is no food allowed on the course itself. Food is available at the tables in the bar area. There are high top tables all around the golf course to put your drinks and purses on while you golf. Very handy. But, you need to remember to bring your drinks with you to the next hole. I may have forgotten mine once and twice and had to go back and get the drinks. When you start, you enter your group name, and each person in the group name. Sort of like when you go bowling. There are no paper cards/pencils to keep score...score is kept on screen monitors at each hole. You enter the number of puts at each hole for each person. The theme is sports, so all the Maine teams are represented, but also a few non sport holes like local legends like holy donuts. The length of the holes is much shorter than outdoor mini golf, but that doesn't mean they are easier. There are lots of obstacles at each hole. See photos. There are tons of big screens on the walls playing every sport you can think of, plus some trivia. We did not try the food because we were going out to dinner after. At the end you can keep the ball and if you bring it back you get $1 off the price of your next game. There is also a giant beer pong game near the bar that looks fund, in case you're waiting for the party in front of you to finish. The bathrooms are very clean. I will go again for sure. It is nice to have be able to play mini golf in winter.

Twice in one week to see how things go at the bar. So far our visits seem to be at the same table…read morethe last two visits and now we finally got stools at the bar. Pub feel with the bar lined with regulars who are having an open conversation across the bar. The seats we took were in the "Splash zone" which we found to be a true story! Occasionally the taps will "burp" from air in the line and beer will splash up from the glass. Thankfully we did not have food yet but were resourceful making use of the condiments caddie. We had their Chicken cordon blue sandwich, I am a sucker for every time and hubby had their fish and chips. Side of gravy for our fries too. Quick timing for our food to come out and with no issues. Bun was not burnt nor was the chicken over done like the first trip here. Fish and chips were amazing! Batter was not dense or heavy, light and complimented the haddock. Sweet potato fries for my man were very good with the right amount of crispy outside and tender inside. Service was great with the bartender happy to answer my portion question around the fish sandwich and meal. Meal gives you more fish. Being that this establishment is literally around the block from us, they will be seeing more of us. Great job and again, Welcome to North Deering tavern folks

They have different rotating specials which is great. That is in addition to their constant menu. Brunch options are a little limited but there is a variety in different options. When I went, I got the Irish Benedict. It came with homefries. My eggs were overcooked so the yolk unfortunately did not run, which they should when poached. Despite this, the corned beef hash and hollandaise were delicious. They have tons of options for hot sauce, tobacco, or sriracha which I love. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and we had quick service. It was pretty quiet for a brunch place on the weekend. There is tons of free parking, tons of specials, and more. When I returned for dinner, we only had to wait about 15 mins to be seated. It was super busy as the Celtics were playing. Our service was quick and awesome. We got our drinks quickly followed by apps and then entrees. The whole process was smooth and quick. We tried the half veggie nachos, cheesesteak egg rolls, buffalo wings, and the meatball and cheese sandwich. Everything was delicious and worth the price. I definitely want to come back for Tuesday night trivia!

The food is good, the service is friendly...except for some teenagers who need a little more customer service training, but they are young and haven't been coached enough yet. For example...the teenage hostess, before even saying hello, good evening, welcome, asked us if we had a reservation, without a shred of a smile. We said no, and she walked us to a table, at which time we decided to sit at the bar for better view of the outside space, and slightly further from the live music. Keep in mind there is no air conditioning. The evening we went it was hot. We sat at the bar, and the sun was to my back through the open garage doors. It was so beautiful, and although there were fans, they didn't do much to cool it off. I love the heat so I didn't mind. I really like the vibe here...very casual, beautiful rustic setting.
