This is a national chain bakery and this particular location is one I have gone past many times. I have seen stuff about their cakes through social media and they looked good, just never made our way here. That changed after seeing their limited time Biscoff Cookie Butter flavored cake. My wife and I really wanted to try this flavor. Located in the busy Scarborough Walmart plaza area. Located right next to Jersey Mike's with plenty of parking nearby. Walking inside you will instantly have your eyes catching all of the delicious looking Bundt cakes staring back. They have a huge variety of flavors available including the Biscoff speciality and another limited flavor "New-Fashioned Marble". Due to wanting to try both of the limited flavors we decided to grab one of each of their smaller sized cakes aptly named Bundtlets. The staff member was friendly and it took no time to receive the cakes. Gladly we were able to enjoy the cakes once we got home and they were great! Both cakes were excellently made and the smaller sized ones were perfect to enjoy with no leftovers. The frostings used leaned quite sweet so for larger cakes it maybe would have been too much. They are limited flavors but if either one sounds tempting to you make your way here before they go away! Look forward to returning in the future to try out more flavors. Oh no!!! First time here and I'm in love! This place is a little shop, but with awesome tasting bundt cakes. I tried their Pumpkin Spice and their Carrot Bundt. They were both perfect....yes, I shared . They were moist, the right size for a dessert and cold! I love when my cakes are cold...then the frosting - AWESOME!! Very creamy and just the right amount to compliment the little cakes. (Frosting is my favorite part of any cake.) Being my first visit, oh yes, I will definitely be back, I was very impressed!! The staff was fun and so pleasant and made our visit perfect. Prices were decent and they offer bite sized, sold as a dozen, mini individual bundts and then full sized and several flavors. What a great little store front. Saw the sign and through it would be worth the visit. Oh it was. The location is bright and cheerful. The options are plentiful. The variety of cakes are great. Enough for all in your party to find something they like. They also offer samples which was awesome. Took home a red velvet, carrot and gluten free option. I stopped in today to this LOVELY cake shop and was super impressed! We happened to show up during their grand opening celebration, which meant that EVERY cake flavor was out to sample on lovely tables throughout the shop! Using some restraint (self imposed, the shop owners encouraged everyone to try as many samples as they wanted!); I tried: The Pumpkin with cream cheese frosting-fantastic, perhaps my overall favorite The Chocolate-Excellent, light but with a deep chocolate flavor, pairs really well with the vanilla frosting The Praline-Deep vanilla flavored cake with just the right amount of praline crunch The White Chocolate Raspberry-Strong fresh raspberry taste Honestly, there were samples for DAAYYYSSSS.... We arrived around 1, but apparently the first 50 customers to arrive in the morning, got a free year of bundt cakes! Lucky! Given all of the delicious flavors, there are many sizes to choose from, from a mini cupcake size to a large cake that feeds 20 people. While traveling through South Portland to visit my daughter we found this place while looking for a bakery to grab dessert. The store was adorable... meticulous in design and pristinely clean. The selection was all Bundt cakes... hmmmm is this elegant enough to bring to dinner? I purchased a seasonal sampler of 12.... 4 flavored included vanilla raspberry, salted caramel, red velvet, and chocolate chip. They were packaged beautifully and presented perfectly. The cost was reasonable. But the taste! SHUT UP! They were delicious! The cake was melt in your mouth good! I live in Massachusetts but will definitely be back. We are raving fans ! read more

Not impressed. Cake was nothing special. I could duplicate with very little effort with box cake as the starting point. This requires very little skill and very inexpensive ingredients. The price point is ridiculous. So expensive for a bakery item requiring such limited resources to create! These are not fancy pastries. This is a cake with no layers hidden under a pile of icing. No effort is required to bake or decorate this kind of cake. My 9 year old could make this on her own. Why did we stop there? It was a holiday and Bakers Bench was closed. We were hungry and looking for a special treat. This did not meet our expectations. Also- I requested forks and was told that they were avoiding certain Maine licensing requirements and I should ask at the restaurant next door. Wow. Skip it have your kid bake a box cake in a Bundt pan. Fill the hole with overly sweet icing or no-bake cheesecake filling. Add weird giant stripes of icing on the sides and top with a big, tacky flower. Trust me it will be better than their cake and you have forks. read more
