In all our 20 years +/- living in Ocean Park & Old Orchard Beach we have never stopped for an ice cream at the Dairy Corner. With Fielders a 10 minute walk away from our home it's hard to think about other ice cream stands. Yesterday everything changed. We decided to go to the Dairy corner & try out the Ice cream. Not bad at all- 70 flavors to choose from. However we have decided to stick with Fielder's ice cream because everything is homemade the portions are huge. This is one of the best tasting ice creams I've ever had. I live in California but vacation in Scarborough and this is my go to place for ice creams. We always like to hit the ice cream hot spots when we are on vacation and we really left this stop until the last minute. We hit up The Dairy Corner on our way to the airport at around 1pm on Saturday. There was no line to speak of so after spending some time considering our astoundingly long list of flavor options we went to the window to place our order. We had the chocolate/vanilla froyo soft serve and a scoop of the Maine wild blueberry ice cream. The serving sizes were enormous! We took out ice cream around back to enjoy in their outdoor seating area. The yogurt was good but yogurt is pretty much the same wherever you get it. The blueberry ice cream was creamy and fresh and truly outstanding. Bummed we waited to try this place until we were on our way out of town, but there is always next year! read more

Recent visit. Hot day and a huge line had us stopping for an ice cream. Homemade with everything anyone could want. Lots more f low cal options as well as dairy free flavors. Shakes sundaes etc. I ordered a small Mint chip in a cup. My son got a medium Moose tracks in their homemade waffle cone. Mine was a generous one scoop. It was very creamy and the chocolate was delicious the mint however was very strong and had a little aftertaste. I think this is a preference issue for me. My son loved the Moose tracks and it had the right amount of ice cream for the waffle cone which he said was also terrific. Very generous helpings. Fantastic ice cream! A small has a couple of scoops, so it's also great value for the money. I tried Beach Blanket S'mores, graham cracker flavored ice cream with dark chocolate chunks. Amazing! There are soo many choices to chose from! I ordered the Coastline coffee and it was super good! It was coffee ice cream with cookie dough and chocolate chip pieces and it was great! It is only for a limited time so definitely try it if they have it! My boyfriend got the mint chocolate chip sundae and he finished it all! Variety, flavor(they use HOOD products so it's already off to a great start!), cost, quantity are all A++++!! We would take our little pups to enjoy ice cream here multiple times a summer before they crossed the rainbow bridge, they knew exactly where we were every time we parked. The constant line during the summer says it all, but don't be afraid to stop because it goes super fast with two windows, they're very fast! We visit Higgins Beach each year and never miss a trip to the Dairy Corner. During our last seven night stay we went five times! They have over fifty flavours and huge portions. There's always a line but they have a comfortable seating area behind the restaurant. They take credit cards or cash. read more

After eating lunch at a nearby seafood shack, we decided to stop off here for ice cream. I've been seeing ice cream stands all over New England and wanted to partake in it. There was a line for the ice cream but it was quick. I was going to have a vanilla soft serve but saw that they had a coffee and vanilla soft serve. I have never seen this combination before and wanted to try it. Coffee is my favorite flavor and this did not disappoint! We were pleasantly surprised that it was such a big serving! We shared it among the 3 of us and it was delicious! I'm a little bum that we don't have a stand like this in NYC area. I've driven by this ice cream spot hundreds of times and observed the long lines, but never stopped. Today was the day! There were lines but they moved quickly. Lots of unique flavors as well as the traditional ice cream staples. Portions are generous! I went with the Cherry Amaretto and it was fantastic! Super creamy, tons of flavor and large, juicy chunks of cherry. Real cherries, not the neon red maraschino kind. This is up there with my top 3 favorite flavors of ice cream! So good. My daughter got two flavor frozen yogurt, which is blended to order with fresh fruit. This took a bit of time but it was worth it. She got peach and mango and the flavors were fresh. The ice cream was amazing at this place, and the workers were very nice. I don't think it could have been any better. They put little rims around the cones so that the ice cream doesn't drip on the ground. They had so many flavor options that all looked really good. I liked how they roped off two parking spaces to make room for people to stand. I actually didn't have to wait in a very long line, but I know sometimes it can get very crowded which would be annoying because you'd have to wait outside. I would love to give this place five stars but there is no indoor seating and only like one or two benches outside and I know it gets big crowds, so I am giving it four. Love this place so much and would go here over Dairy Queen any day/night! They have so many homemade flavors and combination you can get. I love the plastic drip cover they give you to protect your hands from getting messy too. They are very generous on scoops and you can mix match flavors. They have ice cream, frozen yogurt, and even sugar/dairy free options. The sitting area out back is nice and shaded with more seating spread around the building. This place can get really busy on the weekend especially during summertime, of course that's a given with tourtist too. They do great keeping up and getting orders out though. I'm actually blown away by how good the soft serve is here. I was very skeptical at first, especially when I saw that the soft service was 95% fat free. I have no idea how they get their soft serve so creamy, but it is everything I've been looking for in a soft serve. Most ice cream places serve soft serve that is either icy or lacking in flavor. This was neither of those. We tried the chocolate and the maple vanilla twist. I will be craving this ice cream from now on, sad that I live almost 2 hours away. read more

We were on our way to the beach and saw this really cute ice cream shop and had to stop. We really loved all the hand-drawn menu items and the cute names. We tasted the pumpkin ice cream on a whim and it was awesome. The ice cream was creamy and it had a good flavor of pumpkin. The small/child size I think is absolutely humongous so be prepared (not a bad thing when it comes to ice cream).
