We arrived right when they opened up and didn't seem quite ready yet. But the staff was nice and got us taken care of. My wife and I both ordered their Pipos Choice Burger. It game with smoked Gouda, sweet Maduro bits under the patty and then topped with applewood smoked bacon, grilled onions potato sticks, and their guava ketchup. The burger itself was tasty. I would have preferred more guava ketchup, as it seemed to only be in the center of the burger. An even amount of through the bun would have been nice but it did taste good. We went at around four or 5 PM Monday. We were the first couple customers in the restaurant before a little rush happened, the guy who took our order was really kind and we got the chicken pincho platter and a Smashburger with fries. I love the food at PINCHO--ever since I was first introduced to it by Blue at their opening in Pembroke Pines several years ago. We have a restaurant close by in Sunrise and that's where I either dine in or order to-go from. My preference is to dine in but on occasion, I get a craving midday and order on the PINCHO app. Given a couple of my previous experiences with the to-go orders, I decided to go a step further and call the store with my request, which is not to place the sauce containers inside my bowl with the food, but to leave the containers in the bag with the flatware and napkins. I get to the store. It was raining around 3 PM and the restaurant was slow with only one customer. I stepped up to the pickup counter and told the young lady my name. My food was sitting on the shelf in the bag and ready. I thanked her, proceeded to look inside the bag and...NO, NOT AGAIN! There they were--not one but two containers of cilantro sauce inside of my bowl and resting on my sweet plantain bits and vaca frita. Then, I notice the sticker that reads: Tamper Safe which I haven't seen before and led me to believe they were aware of my request and this was the alternative they offered me. The MOD came over and was snarky, but I've gone there enough times to see him interact with his employees and it's just his personality--not a problem. He then tells me that "this is the way corporate wants it done." He also offered to make me a new bowl which was generous. However, at that time, I was already due back at work and declined. Was in the area and was craving some food and wanted to eat something different and remember this location opened up. I checked Pincho when I used to live in Miami at their Hialeah location. What led me in to check them out was their famous fritanga burger with fried cheese and tostones as a bun! They also have a really good steak kebab platter which is really good and their vinaigrette dressing is amazing. Tonight I got the Latin bowl for their Daily Thursday special of $10. It was so fulfilling and flavorful in it I did half brown rice and lettuce, black beans(the beans were a bit salty in my opinion to be honest), pico de Gallo, bit of maduro bites, and an up charge for queso Frito. Talk about a craving! When our order came out, it had super cute packaging but we were a bit disappointed when we bit into it because it tasted like a regular burger. Reading the description, it said that it came with mustard, ketchup, and a secret "Bikini Bottom" sauce, which is what made this burger so special, but ours didn't come with any secret sauce. When we asked the staff, one of the workers was new so he didn't really know what was going on but when he asked the girl who made the burger, he was told that it only came with ketchup and mustard and to relay that information to us. We thought this was off as a friend of ours told us that he got this burger recently (the reason we came) and it was super saucy and good. We ended up asking for the Pincho sauce which is what we guessed was the "secret sauce" to add to the burger and it made a big difference. I'm not usually one to complain but if we're paying $12 for a burger and fries, I do want it to be a bit different from a regular burger, especially since the size of the actual burger wasn't too big. I saw in reviews that this Pincho wasn't favored and, although it was very clean, I would probably opt going to a different location next time I'm craving a burger or pincho. read more

The Latin bowl with pollo asado was bland with what I like to call "al dente" rice. Rice was crunchy or on the under cooked side. We placed our order, were given our drink cups and a pager to let us know when our order was ready, and directed to have a seat while our food was prepared. My husband chose the Vaca Frito Bowl. I opted for the Chicken Tex Mex Bowl. Both were freshly prepared and hot when we received our food. My chicken bowl had a bit of spice to it but it wasn't overly spicy. The only drawback to my bowl was that the pineapples and corn seemed to be canned. As for my husband's frito bowl, he thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminded him a little bit of a chili-frito bowl he used to order at a restaurant when he lived in Texas many years ago.
