I've been to pinch on multiple occasions and normally the staff is great, almost just as great as the food. This time around I was very disappointed. Our waiter among many others were not following protocol, in the descriptions for their safety protocol includes wearing gloves and mask but to my surprise many of the waiters were not wearing their mask or it was hanging off their nose. We were in Miami for the weekend and got tired of the traffic and congestion of South Beach so we ventured out and found this place. From the moment we walked in it felt like home and we were treated that way. The food was great, the drinks were great and the service was great as well. As we were walking to our car, a gentleman came out the back door(not to see us, but to do something else), he asked how thing were and thanked us for coming. Come to find out, he was the owner's father, and he also treated us as family too. Parking is a confusion of spots behind the converted store front and derelict houses leaving you too ask will I be towed?? Unwelcomed and with No apology or friendliness offered after the hosts tardiness either. Kinda felt like the service was recovering from a hangover and they got scheduled to open Fourth of July weekend: Already dreading the day and not interested in the patron. This attitude is found from service in SoBe, because of tourism, but on the mainland?? No, please! Stay away!! When the server, who receipt says is named Emanuel, lethargically passed by you, you better catch him to order cause his attention was elsewhere. So much so, he didn't ever notice that WE grabbed another bottle of water from a bucket of ice to replenish the empty one, empty, at the corner of our table. Or never sought to ask, "hey would you like me to speed up the fans outside so the flies don't eat your food or you pass out from the heat?" Not a care in the world. But maybe the flies should have had our meal. The only stars from our meal were a not-so-generous pour of an old fashion and the sparse bbq pork belly appetizer. Yet these two items could not save the rest of the experience and mains. Salt, salt, and let's add some more Cajun salt. From the croquettes to an egg Benedict to a chicken and waffle. Treat yourself! Pinch Kitchen is a great Brunch/Dinner place. Every time I've been there the service is excellent, the waiters are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is always exquisite! Last time I was there I had the Waff-A-Repa. I wasn't sure I'd like it but to my surprised it's the perfect balance between a little sweetness from the waffle and the rest of the ingredients. It's a big portion and very filling. I also tried the Delirium beer, which to someone like me who doesn't like bitter beers it was really good. I also highly recommend their bbq pork belly, soooo good. One item that you can never wrong with is the Pinch burger. Or any of the specialty items that they put up in the board by the entrance. I'd give this place a 3.5. Came here with my cousins annnnnd I found it underwhelming. There's nothing wrong with it per se, and the food was decent, but you know how sometimes things are good but they're missing that extra something to be truly wonderful? Unfortunately, that was this for me. Maybe it was an off day because this place was popping and parking was packed. Service was a bit slow for a Saturday brunch, but nothing too cray. Ordered... + K-Town Guac: prob the yummiest thing we ordered. The chips were hot and crispy/fresh, and the kimchi/Guac mix was absolutely flavaful. 4.5* - Brisket Slider: would NOT order this again. The meat was soooooo dry. :( Only brisket I like is a moist brisket lmao. 2* / Eggs Benedict: This was ok but nothing hella special. The best part was the potatoes, if that's any indication, lol. 3* I think I'd be more forgiving if the prices had been better for what I'm getting, but the food for me was OK while the price was ehhh-nsane lol. Another Thanksgiving feast provided by Pinch. I would like to thank the Pinch team for a fantastic meal to bring home. My family and friends loved the food. This years stuffing hit the mark and was better the next day. The Brussels sprouts with bacon were cooked perfectly and the mash potatoes were fluffy and spot on. The Turkey was moist and full of flavor and I did not cut into it until 2 hours after I picked it up. I would recommend the thanksgiving feast or just the sides to anyone. read more

Dined here many times and it was always satisfactory. Tonight I made reservation specifically for inside. Restaurant did not honor open table reservation. Hostess said they had many walk ins and did not have a table inside - only outside. Why didn't they seat the walk ins outside? I will not be back. I've been here a few times now and I don't plan on coming back. It's always underwhelming and the service is always bad (and no I don't want to hear your excuses of how you're doing a million things..). Yesterday I brought clients and it was just a train wreck. They asked to please never have to go again. What's decent? The guacamole. But hold the kimchi which is just oddly large pieces. The salad with those delicious tomatoes The empanadas (assuming they give you the kind you order..) The burgers I love fresh lemonade but it's insanely tart.. so get ready for puckering faces, and ask for some sugar on the side so you can get it to your liking. The seasonal vegetable soup.. the flavor was not great but not horrible.. until you can't get away from all of the salty seasoning they poured on top. I had pushed it all to the side, but as you eat it just keeps mixing in.. so eventually it tastes like you're just having spoonfuls of salt until you just can't stand to eat it anymore. Gross. The empanadas.. well I like empanadas but when I order chicken I want chicken.. not spinach. And when I tell you you brought the wrong one you should bring me the right one, not just roll your eyes and walk away. The chicken dish.. my client ordered this and she hit a vein or artery or smthn bc as soon as she cut it open it just started gushing blood... It looked delicious and crispy on the outside.. but it was undercooked and literally gushed blood all over her plate and into her salad. She was unable to eat the chicken or the rest of her salad.. The waiter did not even apologize, just looked annoyed and took her plate and didn't bother asking if she wanted something else.. so 2 out of 3 of us left hungry, but at least they didn't charge us for the incorrect food or undercooked food. The decor is also underwhelming. I don't mind the inexpensive, eclectic, work with what you've got thing.. but they're not working with what they've got, they just threw stuff in there and I expected it would have improved along the way but no. The chairs have plywood on them so they're very hard, and it's so easy to add a cushion or put some batting and fabric on them. Cane is not a commercial material.. and broken cane backs are not useful or fun. This isn't fast food.. the chairs should be more comfortable. I'll come back to the service.. if you don't like serving people and can't be nice, you shouldn't be a server. A nice server would go a long way here. read more

Another solid choice in an up-and-coming neighborhood. Came for the Miami Spice lunch and had to request menu (no points deducted - I don't care if they want to keep it a secret after paying to participate). First I was given the dinner menu by accident. I pointed this out and got a lunch one that only had 2 courses (no dessert), so again I had to inquire and after consulting the kitchen, my server confirmed the rhum baba was included. Off to a rocky start. Between a salad and a ceviche, I didn't hesitate to go for the citrus marinated fish option, and it was good, but light on the fish. Very light. The fish rested on some greens, which I think was designed to further disguise the absence of fish. I enjoyed the presentation and the plantain chips it came with. I'd heard good things about one of the 2 options for the main course: the "frenched chicken," but the pasta of the day option was a pappardelle bolognese, and I'm a sucker for that particular pasta, so I went with that. If anyone is following in my footsteps, I'd recommend you go with the chicken (Probably a better value since it's $19 on the regular menu, unless they cut the portion in half for Miami Spice, which they might if the ceviche was any indication). The noodles in the dish were obviously hand made and very fresh. The meat sauce was good but seemed a little under-seasoned. Finished with the rum cake dessert, which was very good, and elevated the entire experience to a "4". Some Yelp photos depict this as including 3 slices, where mine came with 2, which again supports my suspicion that the Spice menu may not represent a destination-worthy value, but certainly worth checking out in August and September if you are passing through. read more

As others have said, it's kind of hard to find a really consistently great place to eat around this immediate area, so thank goodness for Pinch Kitchen! After having eaten at Pinch on a Saturday afternoon several weeks ago and loving the food, we decided to meet a friend there for dinner last night - Wine Wednesday - and were very happy we did. They quickly brought out a really interesting amuse bouche of baby portobellos stuffed with something like hummus. At first I didn't know if I'd like warm hummus, but these cute little babies were tasty!! Literally, "mouth amusers." So since it was Wine Wednesday, naturally we had wine. We chose a very nice Tempranillo. And as with any restaurant, it and the beer are overpriced, even at 20% off the wine list price, but we expected that going in. We can live with that. Then the real fun began with the following starters: - Ceviche: DELICIOUS! Corvina isn't a favorite of ours, but it was fantastic in this chunky version of ceviche. The yucca chips should be called straight-up yummy chips. The seasoning in this ceviche is so good, they could cut up a kitchen sponge in there instead of fish and you'd still love it. - Shishito Peppers: AMAZING! We've had Shishito peppers at a lot of places, but did we ever imagine them topped with bonito flakes, grated cured egg yolk, and lemon? No. No we did not. But somebody at Pinch did and I wanted to go find them and kiss them hard - right on the mouth - after tasting this amazing combo. - Spanish Octopus: VERY GOOD. The bok choy alongside was very good and the sauce was very, very good. I'm not raving over this only because I've had very good octopus before and this was "as good." And remembering it's Wine Wednesday, naturally we had another bottle of that very nice Tempranillo. Then the main dishes: - Our friend had the pasta evening special, which was fresh tagliatelle with salmon. He said it was very good, but could have been a bigger portion. Gotta love fresh pasta! - My husband had the organic 1/2 chicken. (The online menu says 1/4 chicken - ignore that) He really liked it, even the malanga puree - and believe me, he's a full-on "I don't eat quiche, food that wiggles, or pureed anything" kind of guy. The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. - I had the Black Angus ribeye (grass-fed, according to our server). FANTASTIC! I like my steaks still eating aforementioned grass when I cut into them and it can be a challenge. Mine came out exactly the way I like it! And although I've had some chewy grass-fed beef, this was perfectly tender. The only reason I didn't want to kiss the chef on his mouth about this dish was that it was too heavily salted. I even did the obligatory, "Here, you taste it." around the table and we all agreed that cow had most certainly been swimming in the Great Salt Lake before it made its way to Miami. But it was still delicious and I'd order it again no question, just with an "easy on the salt" request. - We all shared a side of Spicy Brussels Sprouts. They were so browned and crunchy! Very delicious and I will order them every time we go back to Pinch. Just the right amount of chili flakes, but again, too much salt! Did I mention it was Wine Wednesday? We had another bottle of that very nice Tempranillo. Naturally! Keeping count? :) We were too full from the wonderful meal we had just consumed, so had no room for dessert, but since our server Andy was so sweet, we didn't need it. Andy is a very knowledgeable young lady and a great server who kept our glasses filled and put up with our constant monopolization of her time with talk about everything from the weather to how Saturn got its rings. From the moment we walked in, we were treated so kindly. This place has such delicious food and drinks, and amazing staff. It's a cute and eclectic little place, they have a wonderful variety of items on the menu to satisfy just about anyone, including you vegans out there. I forgot my servers name but he was very nice and super helpful with recommendations,and beyond attentive!! They have a really great cocktail menu, so many creative drinks, I got the Buena Vida because I do love Mezcal. They also have a great selection of beers. We started off with the croquettas, my friends said they haven't had any so good since they were in spain. You have to get the burger. YOU HAVE TOO. So delicious. I loved it and so did everyone else at the table. I tried the grilled octopus and it was cooked very well, I think it would have tasted even better with a little aioli but it was great as it was too. We all shared the stuffed french toast as a dessert, that was a smart move. It was so delicious and we all loved it! I highly recommend coming here it is really great in every aspect. This restaurant is located in an up-and-coming area in the upper east side, near Miami Shores. My date and I went there for dinner. The ambience is pretty chill. The restaurant is dimly lit, and they even have a bar area for people dining alone. You can see the kitchen, which is pretty cool and everything looked very fresh. They even have vegan wines on the menu. I had the oysters which were amazing, paired with a nice white wine. I also had the pinch salad which was absolutely delicious, and the ceviche which was also tasty. Everything was just wonderful and the servers were very attentive. This is a real food place. Neighborhood atmosphere. The people that serve are involved, they love the food, they advice you well. They are well engrained as a team should be. We were 2 friends, we took advantage of the Happy hour with our amazing cocktails and the to die ceviche with the toasted corn. But then, the food.... my pasta was the special of the day, I'm already thinking to go back to have it again. My friend had the lamp with a tzatziki sauce cook to perfection. We visited this restaurant because a Co-worker recommended them plus we always crave new and delicious, hearty food; And it surely made our tummies happy! Customer service was above and beyond. You could tell the crew was like a family. They completed everything so seamlessly and always answered all our questions with patience. Overall, all the dishes were visually pleasing and seasoned perfectly! Our favorite meal was the Frenched Chicken Breast. Also, we love how the restaurant has its own character, art and furniture pieces that make it feel trendy and unique. Luckily, we met the owners and they let us take some behind the scene photos as well! It was such an honor to witness all the steps and skill it took to bring these dishes to the table. In the Upper Eastside of Miami lies a perfectly graffitied box that houses Pinch Kitchen. It was 2pm on a Sunday and I was just waking up from a jetlagged morning. Upon a quick Google search for the best burgers in Miami-Dade, Pinch Kitchen stole my stomach. A toasted brioche salted with coarse minerals encompassing a medium-cooked beef patty and caramelized onions drooling out of the center, you're blessed with house aioli and wondrously dirty fries. Could I have asked for a better Sunday afternoon welcome to America? I haven't visited the shop at night, but judging by the patrons walking in asking about exclusive items only belonging to the dinner menu, it's definitely a spot I'd mark an X on. I went on a busy Sunday but I still paid menu price , so busy or not the food and service was disappointing.I ordered the poached egg in a potatoe basket.$10. The organic bacon was crumbled status dry , the toast was very dry, see pics, I had to request a larger plate to hold the stork & knife. The potatoe basket was so burnt it was tasteless.
