    Seafood platter

Beautiful restaurant that specializes in seafood. We loved the ambience and the service was great. Definitely recommend the seafood platter, even my kids enjoyed it. If you're in Old Montreal, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

It's in old Montreal and what surprised me was the lobster bar/restaurant at the bottom floor looking across old port! It serves food & drinks after 5pm to 11pm or 3AM! Main level is an English breakfast bar and there's also a rooftop bar. Friendly staff and excellent service! Solid place since our first choice literally ran out of pastries on this Easter weekend!

Service was excellent, but skip the lobster roll. It was full of wet mayo soaked bun and onions. Absolutely terrible. I ate around the onions and topped off the salad rather than eat the soaking wet bun. Fries were just okay. Not much ambience inside, but can and tidy.

A must visit if you love lobster! Incredible food, friendly service in the picturesque streets of old Montreal. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Oysters for apps were delicious. My husband enjoyed his generous portion of a half lobster that came with fries and a salad. My lobster risotto was huge and so flavorful. The regional style of risotto involves and lot of cheese and was incredible. Lobster prepared properly and not overcooked. Great wine list. Don't snooze on Pincette!

An old Montreal favorite, Pincette is a cozy eatery serving food with a local flavor. We went for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The cod fritters were nicely seasoned and fried so the outside was crisp and the inside soft and juicy. The shakshuka (chackchouka) was flavorful, mildly spiced and served with a side of pita bread. The lobster rolls were packed with lobster meat and served with fries and a side salad. All on all a delightful experience and a satisfying lunch! Service by Marie was excellent-- 5 stars.

Walking by the busy tourist area, we saw Pincette with a beautiful outside patio and decide to make a dinner reservation for next night. I saw lobster poutine on Yelp's photos but our waiter said it was served on weekends only. They still had other lobster and fresh seafood choices. We started out with some scallops appetizers, there are only 3 pieces but they do have caviar on top. We also had some red sangria which goes well with our dinner. For entree I got the lobster roll which came with a huge salad and some fries. Hubby got the lobster tail risotto which was creamy with cheese, squash and peas. Our server was friendly and was attentive. It was a nice dinner to wrap up our Montreal trip.

I honestly enjoyed myself here the most. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious and I had a nice sweet drink to go with it. Can't complain about the overall experience. I most def will come back. Music was nice to, Not to many people in there so that's was perfect for someone who gets anxiety from time to time. Besides this is a nice area to walk on and decide what you want to eat.

Stopped by Pincette to grab a bite to eat before seeing music in the area, and my partner and I really enjoyed our experience! We were lucky enough to get walk-in seats at the bar and then had the pleasure to chat with Gabriel (the bartender), who gave us some nice recommendations and tips. We ended up ordering the lobster + crab poutine (one of the best we've ever had, very unique and creamy from the lobster bisque) and the grilled squid appetizer. We were thoroughly pleased by both, and unfortunately couldn't finish the poutine (as much as we wanted to!). Drink-wise, I got one of the IPAs on draft + their oyster shooter (delicious) and my partner got the espresso martini (which Gabriel did a stellar job making). All in all, I would go back to Pincette and try some of their other food and libations (prob a reservation next time tho).

Food was pretty bad. Fish was way too breaded and the salad was drenched in dressing. Service was slow. Atmosphere nice. Very touristy.

We started with two apps Chevre chaud poire pochee and Ris de veau croustillant. Chevre chaud is a little cheese pattie with warm cheese it was served on a little bit of salad. Ris de veau is 3 piece of fried calf. If you want to share your app I would go with the Chevre chaud. I thought the portion for Ris de veau was a little small. Right about now I noticed that everyone around us was getting some warm bread with butter. I looked at the menu to try and see if that was something we needed to order as an app. I did not see it on the menu so I assume it's just given as your app while you wait for your dinner. I got the beef tartar as my main dish. You have the option of picking between a garden salad or fries to go with it. I went with the fries. They are served with some mayo, just like I like it. The beef chart was delicious. Portion are good. This might also be an option if you want to share an app. It comes in two sizes, I got the bigger one. For dessert, I picked a crème brûlée with a cheese platter . Crème brûlée comes with a lovely crust , which I honestly enjoyed quite a lot. It is a very thin layer of crème brûlée with a thicker than usual sugar crust. The cheese platter came with three very small piece some bread and a jam. I would believe to be blueberries. I was disappointed by the cheese platter not because the cheese were bad ones but just because it was a three bite done deal. I would've liked a bigger portion to share. Overall, very positive experience.

The owner, hostess and wait staff were so friendly and gracious, and this feels like an authentic neighborhood restaurant, not a tourist trap. If you're staying in old-Montreal, you can't go wrong with an intimate dinner here, either inside or outside on their outdoor sidewalk patio. Order Breakdown Starters: Ceviche ($16): Marinated scallops with ginger, sesame, and seaweed. A light, acidic, bright start to open up the palate. (This dish was delicate and texturally well-balanced, with a simple yet beautiful presentation.) Polpetta di Nonna Maria ($18): Two of grandma's veal meatballs simmered in tomato sauce with Parmigiano. Rich, savory, and perfect for dipping any table bread. (Classic Italian comfort food. The marinara was perfectly seasoned and the appropriately sized meatballs were soft and flavorful. The bread was warm and soft with a delicious crust, the perfect vehicle for the extra sauce.) Mains: Orrecchietti con Salsiccia e Rapini ($30): Classic short pasta paired with savory Italian sausage, bitter rapini greens, garlic, olive oil, and parmesan. Very traditional, rustic, and full of flavor. (The pasta and sausage and butter greens were cooked perfectly, and the greens provided the acid to offset the richness of the olive oil and sausage. Dusted with fresh Parmesan, the savory profile was near perfect.) Insalata di Tonno ($32): Seared fresh tuna over a bed of spinach with their house sesame dressing. Keeps things fresh and balanced alongside the rich pasta. (This was the standout dish, with delicate tuna slices laid out across a bed of fresh baby spinach, garnished with sweet and tart cherry tomatoes, with a savory sesame sauce drizzled over the top. The sauce was notable since it didn't overwhelm the flavor of the perfectly seared tuna.) Paired with fresh peach Bellini aperitif for my wife. I don't drink, and she drinks sparingly, but she kept mentioning how delicious it was. The dinner was rounded off with a delicious tiramisu presented in a glass dessert cup. Definitely try this place if you want an unpretentious local establishment with a focus on quality.

I also tried the ravioli con manzo CAD$34. This ravioli had braised beef inside. I honestly had low expectations because I don't usually care for ravioli. The flavor was good, and the beef was not dry. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom inside to the right. Indoor + outdoor seating. Passed the vibe check.
