Food is good but not wow. Good looking location, decent service, was expecting more from this supposidly icon of French brasserie type.

My husband and I walked in on a Friday night and while it was busy, we were still able to get a table. We ordered a variety of bites to enjoy, including the seafood poutine which was a very generous portion! The Octopus was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the sauce it was served with. The tartare was delicious as well. Everything was high quality and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient, but we didn't feel rushed by any means.

And, that's the exactly the focus here: Lobster Rolls, Canadian Oysters and plentiful seafood selections. The freshness and distinctive quality of these delicacies make Pincette an emerging staple of the area. Having opened in 2021 as part of a local restaurant group, the dishes are crafted by Chef Khelil Ben Ammar and his team. Paired with a list of Canadian wines, this is a great spot for pairing Quebequis cold climate varietals with the delicate flavors of local seafood. The environment has a "medieval cozy" vibe, with exposed stone walls and contemporary design details. An excellent establishment for seafood lovers.

This is a small Italian restaurant with homemade food. I had a much better food experience here…read morethan the Italian spot I went to for lunch! For starter, I shared polpetta, the veal meatballs (2 for CAD$18). The waiter warned us it would take a bit longer to come out. The meatballs had good seasoning, but it was not hot!? We found it weird that if they took so long to make it, why was it cold inside? For pasta, I had the papardelle con ragu CAD$36. The pasta was al dente, very delicious. I recommend this dish! I also tried the ravioli con manzo CAD$34. This ravioli had braised beef inside. I honestly had low expectations because I don't usually care for ravioli. The flavor was good, and the beef was not dry. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom inside to the right. Indoor + outdoor seating. Passed the vibe check.

I made a reservation on their website for 7pm on a Friday night (the site requires a credit card for the reservation with penalty if no-show). When we arrived, I had told the owner that we had a reservation for 6 and since the restaurant was busy inside, he said, the only option that I have is on the terrace...which was fine because it was a nice cool pleasant evening...but what would had happened if it was raining or extremely hot? It was weird that he did not "reserve" a table inside just in case...or...if we did not want to eat on the terrace..... When we stepped to the patio, the server said, this is your table...showing us a table for 4. I said..there's 6 of us....so he pointed at a smaller table for 2 and he stood there....so I had to actually move the smaller table MYSELF next to the larger table and make a table for 6. The table ordered a nice Chianti and some great pasta dishes. My husband got the eggplant parmigiana and I got the Orecchiette With Sausage and rapini. Both were excellent. The food was very good. I asked the server for black pepper for my pasta and it never came. One of our friends wanted a cappuccino after dinner and the owner said they did not have milk to make cappuccino, they only had espresso. Kind of odd that a restaurant could not even store a gallon of milk in their fridge for customers wanting some milk in their coffees... I guess I respect the owner's philosophy and way of running his restaurant, but that seemed just a bit odd. Food was great. Customer service was not stellar... That's the only reason for the 4 stars.
