Best locksmith I have encountered. Responsible, reliable, and professional. His work is impeccable and guaranteed. He fixed my door knobs eight years ago a go and they still work perfectly. He returns phone calls within minutes. His prices are reasonable or even cheaper than others. He takes pride in his work. Louis will never disappoint you!!! read more

Lou was extremely helpful in re-keying a deadbolt. The re-keying process took only 15 minutes. His originaly response to my inquiry of work and personal attention were both outstanding. He even stopped by on his way to another job to help me during the install because I was having an alignment problem re-inserting the deadbolt into the door. I would highly recommend Lou if you need any type of lock repair or in home work complete. read more

He promised me a quote and it has been approximately 1 week and I have not heard back. Truly unprofessional.

Great service! He showed up on time. I had a frozen pad lock that would not budge. He staid until the job was done completely in the freezing temperature. Would definitely recommend their services. Will be calling them again if another lock problem occurs. read more

Luis is the consummate professional. He is knowledgeable, shares his knowledge in a way that empowers his customers, and he is extremely reasonable and fair in his pricing. He opened a desk drawer that was locked and for which we lost the key, and he also replaced a doorknob lock with a keypad lock. If I could, I would take off 1/2 a star because he was a little late but in all other respects he provided top notch service. I would not hesitate to call again on Luis and Pilsen Heights Locksmith. Highly recommend. read more

Lou is a man of his word - a rare find these days. I spent half a day with him since I lost all of the keys to my "high security" Audi A6. He actually picked me, drove to my car, back to the office, and back to the car. Probably 8 miles each way. He actually had to remove the trunk lock... End result - I have a key that unlocks, locks and starts the car, and the car was put back together perfectly! I was finally able to move the car from a spot getting $100 tickets per day. His prices are actually too low given the service he provides. After spending so much time with him (not really his fault, more that the Audi center is not available on weekends), I realized that this business if full of a lot of dubious people - especially on the customer side, who make appointments and then because he might be a bit late (servicing someone else) they get someone else and he's hung out to dry. Trust me, I dealt with one of these shops on Friday, who strung me along for 18 hrs and NEVER showed, causing the $100 ticket... I'll be writing a negative review of them... Stick with Lou. Be a bit understanding that he makes sure the job is done right, so sometimes his appointments run a bit longer than he estimates, but if he tells you he will show, he will. He been in doing this a very long time. He has skills I'm sure most do not. Thanks Lou. read more

i brought in some locks to get rekeyed at their alternate location, 1133 W. Pershing. These guys are great at their trade, and they do it at a reasonable price. I can at least speak for getting locks rekeyed or copied. read more

Lou is amazing! He's personable, genuine, honest and professional. I called him as I was locked out of my condo unit and he promptly arrived in a matter of 20 minutes which he claimed he would. He provided valuable advice in regards to the 'buyer beware' red flags to look out for when hiring a locksmith. Although I hope to never need Lou's assistance again, he'll be my go-to for future lockouts. read more

My friend and I arrived at Midway airport to find I left the lights on in my car so the battery was dead. As I tried to unlock my car the key stayed stuck in my car door. Louie was a bright spot to our day! He was able to get the key out of the door, explained why it happened and then recommended another locksmith in South Bend to have a key made as that was the underlying problem. After helping us with the key he went above and beyond by jumping our car for us so we could head home. I cannot say enough good things about him, service was professional, he was funny and helped me relax and not feel like a moron for having a key stuck in a dead car. :) Louie is most definitely an upstanding, honest locksmith, highly recommend! read more

Awesome service! Louie always gets me out of lock jams no matter what! He recently came out in this killer weather to help me out! I can always depend on him! Thanks a whole lot for being there for me! read more

Louie really went above and beyond for me. My ignition locked up after I stopped to visit a friend in town. Time was of the essence because I was moving for a job with an approaching start date. Louie came to the car (no tow necessary) and diagnosed the problem as a cracked ignition housing. He found the part and drove an hour each way to pick it up and worked on the replacement until 10 at night to make sure I could leave the next day. Price may have been a little high, but you get what you pay for. read more

Louis was awesome. Pilsen Heights Locksmith was recommended by a local auto dealership after the final copy of our car key was lost. Within hours, late at night, Louis and his locksmith van were at our car with 2 sets of keys for a very fair price. In addition he is a true Chicago character. Full of stories and good humor, Louis is an enthusiastic guy who loves what he does. He's now our locksmith "gotta' guy." read more

Excellent Service! Highly skilled, professional, and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone.

Louie did a really professional job by making me a perfect replacement car key. I needed a car key with a chip in it (Ford Fiesta 2011), so it wasn't enough just to get a key that would open the car door. He coded it electronically so that it would not just open the door but also would turn on the engine. Saved me more than double the amount I'd have spent if I'd gone to a dealer. During the week his shop is on Pershing Rd near Racine. Call first to make sure that he's not out doing an on-site key replacement job around the city. read more

There still are some good guys around and Lou is one of them, he is personable, honest, his prices are fair and he does a really good job at what he does. I called Lou because my daughters ignition on her car malfunctioned and it would not accept her key to start. It was in a parking garage in South Loop overnight adding up parking cost and I had to get it out. I called Lou he was confident that he could get it started, he quoted me a fair price over the phone. We met at the garage within 45 minutes. Once there he got the car running quickly and then I drove it to his business where he did an excellent job of replacing the ignition cylinder. Both Lou and his associate were very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know. read more

Luis was great! I actually got a key stuck in my friend's apartment lock while I was checking her mail and she was on vacation. Such a stressful situation. After I had gotten the appropriate documentation from my friend to get into her place, Luis came within the next hour, and even gave me a heads up as I had to meet him there from 3 blocks away, with an infant! He was personable, knows his stuff, and is more affordable than any of the other people that I called. Thank you!!! read more
