I have been using Pilar cleaning services for over 6 years now. I had an apartment in DC which they cleaned and then brought a 3 level townhouse in Southern Maryland which Pilar team now cleans. When I first brought my home it was a foreclosure and had been sitting for months! Pilar team came in and completely restored the shine in my home and revealed its true potential. Pilar has great customer service and frequently checks in for cleaning services. Pilar cleaning team goes the above an beyond for their customers with personalized touches of folding napkins, toilet paper and bath towels similar to hotel services. Pilar cleaning team have organized my countertops, office and cleaned my refrigerator for no additional cost. Most important, Pilar team is trustworthy, effective and fast. In the COVID era, Pilar team sanitize their cleaning tools before visiting the next person home. However feel free to ask them to use your own personal cleaning products if you so choose. Please consider Pilar cleaning team for your next home or office cleaning, they are sure to make your space sparkle. read more

I wanted to provide an updated review based on our recent experiences. We've worked with Pilar, who handles all of the communication, while different members of her team come to do the cleaning. One challenge is that it isn't always the same cleaners, and the quality has been inconsistent. Some visits have been great, while others have fallen short, which has been frustrating. The biggest issue, however, has been scheduling. I want to extend grace because cleaning homes is physically demanding work, and I understand that delays can happen. That said, the arrival times have consistently been several hours later than the scheduled window. If you decide to use Pilar's service, I'd recommend planning for the cleaners to arrive three or more hours after the time you're given. While we've had some positive experiences, the inconsistency in both the cleaning quality and scheduling has made it difficult to rely on the service. read more

:We were fortunate to come across this company. We had worked with many others before, but this one stood out for being quick with their quotes, punctual, and delivering top-quality work. We've been working with them for a long time now, and the owner is always attentive and incredibly helpful. Highly recommended! PEPE read more

Great service, very professional. I had been using her service for a while and they are excellent, very trustworthy. Lleave them my keys and when I come back everything smells so clean, they clean the bathrooms very good and they also do carpet cleaning, which it was very much needed at my house. So happy with their service. I really recommend. read more

They clean regularly for me and have since 2016. They clean well are very pleasant and hardworking. They have, also helped me pack and unpack for and from moves. I would never make a change. Their prices are very competitive and they do great work. I would never switch. Pilar's is reliable and a pleasure to work with together. read more

Excellent and professional cleaning and organizing service! I live in Mount Airy, MD, and have been using Pilar's company for the past 5 years. Each year, they consistently deliver outstanding results. They are reliable, accommodating last-minute requests and emergencies with ease. Their carpet cleaning service is exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality and professionalism. read more

If I could I would give this company 0 stars. I initially hired the company for a deep cleaning July 2021. Not a regular cleaning but DEEP cleaning. My home is not filthy , however I like having my baseboards , inside my appliances and windows cleaned. You cannot get the add-ons with a regular cleaning. In July , Pilar sent 3 people on time and it took 2 hours . I text Pilar in late September for another deep cleaning and asked her how much. She said it would be the same price I paid last time. I scheduled the cleaning for October 9th 11:30am. Pilar sent 2 people at 11:58am. They "completed " the job at 2:20pm. I noticed my windows were dirty, the master bathroom floor was dirty, appliance were not wiped down, and one of the rooms was not vacuumed well. When I pointed these problems out , Pilar text me with an attitude saying "your house is hard to clean." Not understanding what she meant , I called her. She started going off about her people being late for another appointment and she had to cancel. What does that have to do with me?????????? Then she charged me an extra $50 !!!! I asked her why she said because I should have made an appointment within 1 month of my last appointment . Do you all read the deception and deflection here ???? Do not use Pilar's services. Oh and this is the right Pilar (240) 848-1981. I have posted a picture of the The house before they came... sure doesn't look "hard to clean" to me. read more

We use Pilar's cleaning service on all of our post construction cleanings, our tenant move out and move ins. I also use them personally. After 30 years of working in the residential construction industry. I can truly say they compliment the build with a very thorough cleaning. A lot of our clients continue using them for weekly services. Highly recommended! Jen LANDIS Construction Production read more

I don't usually write reviews, however I had a very bad experience and want to warn others. I hired them to come help me with packing my apartment up for a move, but they arrived over an hour later than the agreed upon time. They started packing, however they were packing heavy items into a large sized box, so I instructed them to pack them into small to medium size boxes, so they wouldn't break upon moving. Instead of listening to my instructions, she had such a hostile attitude towards me, repeatedly asking me "show me how you want me to do it then?!" I repeated my request nicely, but she still had such a nasty attitude towards me. At that point I knew that she would be difficult to work with, gave her half an hour's worth of pay (she was only here for maybe 10mins) and politely asked to leave. Never doing business with them again. read more

Terrible treatment of customers. Broken English in all communications with them. The cleaners who showed up said they were going to go get a bottle of Windex and then never came back. Not cool. How are they still in business? The only saving grace is that they do clean things. I know-- that's their job. Many cleaners are very bad cleaners. These are passable cleaners even though the toilet and the windows were still dirty when they went to go get that Windex bottle. read more

I've been using Pilar's Cleaning for over a year now and have been very pleased with their service. The quality of cleaning is excellent and at a reasonable cost and always done properly with care. I have hardwood floors, stainless steal appliance so can see the level of detail in their cleaning. I have a one bedroom condo and have scheduled cleaning services 2x month, so the cleaning is fairly frequent. I don't have any issues unlike some of the other reviews, so would highly recommend Pilar's for a first try and judge for yourself. Overall 5 stars for the quality of the cleaning, cost, scheduling and communication with customers. Pictures coming soon... read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The customer service is awful. I have used there services multiple times and every time the cleaners are late. Today I had an appointment at 11am and they didn't arrive until 12:30. Also, I've always paid $90 for my 1br and when I made the payment I received a text that the price changed. It is responsibility of the company to inform the client if there has been a change in price. Also, the audacity to text me about $10 when you screwed up my appointment time because you texted the wrong staff number. I thought I was getting a bargain but this isn't worth it. The owner basically cancelled me as a customer due to her mistakes. Completely unprofessional!!! read more

We have been using Pilar's Cleaning services 2x a month for about 4 years now. The ladies are awesome, great attention to details, great deep cleaning of bathtubs, showers, sinks etc. they leave the house impeccable! Price is reasonable and service is great. Never experienced any issues, and since Covid the ladies work with their masks on the whole time- big plus for being responsible helpers. read more

Horrible cleaning Service!!!! If there is a ZERO star, I would definitely give it to this horrible cleaning company. I have been using this cleaning company for 3 years, and just today I had enough with the lies of Pilar. Consistent lies and excuses , miscommunication, rude attitude and she bails on her customers. Each cleaning visit is a headache, mind her rudeness. I can't trust a business owner who jeopardizes her kids health for lies. BIG LIAR , NON-TRUSTWORTHY and UNPROFESSIONAL She was supposed to be sending the cleaning ladies today and I was waiting and waiting, then I texted her asking where the ladies are? First She claimed that the cleaning lady has a doctor appointment ( this is her common lie) then when she felt that I did not buy her lie, she claimed that her son is in the emergency room. Conversation was heated then she said to me "you don't have feelings"A professional business owner will care to communicate with the customer at least even in case of emergency. I used to send tip for the cleaning ladies included in the cheque. To my surprise, she used to take their tips and never tells them about it. She always has me on schedule but would cancel on me the last minute when a new customer comes in, price has changed and the cleaning quality has declined. If you wanna keep your house clean and your sanity intact, please stay away from this lady! read more

I've used this service for 5 years and never looked back. The channing crew is thorough and VERY professional. Freaky Really an amazing experience. read more

I decided to contact Pilar about cleaning services, despite some negative reviews. I needed a deep cleaning and her prices seemed fair. Pilar was easy to communicate with via text. The three ladies arrived right on time and also finished within the estimated time. My condo was left sparkling clean...and it needed it! One of my bathtubs had an extremely slow drain and I forgot to fix it before they came, so I know that may have been a bit of a struggle cleaning it, but it came out perfectly. I've used bigger name companies in the past that were almost double the price and half the quality. I'm so glad I found Pilar and I will be using her services for monthly cleanings because of the wonderful job they did! read more

Stay away from this company. They've come to clean for me for a while now and there are often issues. Small things that are annoying but not the end of the world. Pilar has called me 'picky' in the past for pointing tea things out, which I never appreciated, but chose to ignore. This past time however they stuffed all of my king-sized bed linen in 1 of my silk pillowcase and it burst like a sausage. They also used some type of metal scrubber on my toilets and ruined 2 of them. She is refusing to replace the bedding, saying that it must have been old and they said they didn't do anything. I'm furious and am so disappointed. I will not be using their services again. read more

I would not use them again. I was initially referred by Amazon to become a direct customer.

Booked Pilar's cleaning through Amazon for a deep cleaning. Communication prior to the visit was great and the owner answered my call right away. They called me when they arrived and got right to work. The ladies arrived on time and did a great job cleaning my apartment. We had not had cleaners in since we moved in and the place was a total mess. I am especially amazed at the work they put in on the bathroom. There were stains on the tub that are now gone! Will be booking for a monthly cleaning service as prices are very reasonable and lower than other services in the area. Thanks for getting my Home back in shape!! read more

I've been using them for a few months now and they are never on time. There been over an hour late multiple times and when I ask for an update the owner just lies about their arrival time. Would not recommend. read more

Pilar is a life-saver! Been using her services for the course of a year now, and have no complaints. Her + team are fast and efficient and will leave your home spotless in an hour or less. She could be a little cheaper, but I'm sold on her quality of service, and she's very thorough and pleasant. An added bonus is she speaks very good English, which makes the communication easier. I highly recommend her with absolutely no reservations if you live in Montgomery County and need a little domestic help from time to time (or frequently) :-) read more

Cleaning great! Very nice workers who listened and complied with all instructions - types of products, what to clean and how. Schedule changed on the morning only after I contacted the owner to confirm, however they arrived 10 minutes earlier than the new time with an additional worker (3 instead of 2) and finished in less time than booked. Will definitely use them again and recommend them. read more

Letting a stranger, even one with reviews, is an odd experience and one I was not that eager to take. However, given that I wanted my several hundred dollar deposit back, I figured a cleaner would be a good investment. I found Pilar's Cleaning Service after a brief online search and comparison. She was quick to reply to my initial text although she was a bit slow sometimes on following texts, granted because she was busy working. Still after some initial confusion, she came over today and cleaned the place. I came back to my old apartment expecting some things to be missed and turn into my problem but wow, everything was spotless. Clean floor, clean tub, clean oven, clean microwave; you name it, it was clean. This is the best kind of surprise. I strongly recommend Pilar and will definitely contact her for future cleanings and refer her to my friends that have such needs. Oh, it was $80 for a studio. I don't know if that is supposed to be expensive but I found it reasonable compared to what others were telling me (generally 100+) for cleaning the same place. read more

Always late. Very rude communication with costumers and incredibly unprofessional. I have dealt with a few instances where Pilar has been super rude. Cleaning services could certainly be better (for example, they never take note of where things are placed and when they move them, everything is completely out of place.) You can tell they don't take the time fully dust and clean everything off as I always find spots they missed all over tables, counters, fridge, etc. There have been times the cleaning crew has not shown up and there are many excuses she uses. She will try and get every dime out of you and not keep in mind friendly customer service. If you want to deal with being verbally abused via text on a regular basis (I'm talking 9 text messages in a row being incredibly disrespectful within 3 minutes), Pilars cleaning service is for you. She tries to pick fights and has an attitude about everything. I have been completely shocked by the way Pilar speaks to costumers like this. Not a good way to keep costumers and attract new ones! STAY AWAY! read more

Bought a Groupon to try this company and left the company (cell phone with no greeting) a voicemail to try to schedule a home cleaning. Never got a call back and it has been 5 days. Got a refund from Groupon and no longer interested in trying this service due to lack of courtesy. read more

I'm surprised to get negative reviews. Been using Pilar for over a year now and my place is always spotless. When her and her crew are finished. They're always about 10 min late or so, but I can live with that for such a fair price and a job well done. read more

I had used Pilar's cleaning services for the past few months. The cleaning crew is nice enough, and I provided an extra star to the rating because they did a decent job the few times they came. There were a couple of times where my schedule would change and I couldnt leave my key at the front desk and thats where things turned bad and unprofessional. In looking at other reviews, I had similar experiences of last minute cancellations. Without getting into the entire story, the most recent appointment cemented that I would never use this cleaning service again. My schedule changed last minute due to a funeral. We messaged the night before the appointment regarding the change in my schedule and agreed on the timing of when the cleaners would stop by and after that time if they werent there I would leave the key at the front desk. Pilar called me 30 minutes early and said her cleaners needed in immediately. I said I would be back in 5 minutes (25 minutes before the agreed upon time) and that was not acceptable to her. In follow up messages she proceeded to blame me for ruining her crews entire day. Usually I dont like to post negative reviews, but this experience was terrible and I felt others should know. read more

After agreeing on the time, price and service with the owner over text, she tried to change time and price not once but twice. I finally relented on time and agreed to 8:20 instead of 8 even though I had errands to run and appointments to get to that morning. At 8:30 when they had not arrived I followed up via text w the opener and after 15+ mins the owner finally located her team and they arrived at 8:59 walking into the home and leaving the front door wide open, not even bothering to close it after themselves. The cleaning job they did was spotting, picking and choosing which parts of the house got vacuumed and cleaned. I had to go through and point out all the areas they missed. To their credit, they did then clean them after I pointed them out. I had agreed on a deep clean with the owner but they refused to clean the refridge or oven saying that was for move out only. Well then, please tell me what a deep clean is as this feels very typical to me. Is cleaning a bathroom a deep clean?! Needless to say I won't be using them again. read more

I started out with Groupon as well. That one time they did a great job but since then, I have had issues with the quality of the cleaning and also with their scheduling. Almost every time there has been a problem keeping the original appointment. I'm flexible but I like to know that things will happen when scheduled so I can set it up and forget about it. The whole business seems to "fly by the seat of their pants" with schedule changes, phone calls, texting back and forth and already agreed upon price changes after the fact. Pilar is a sweetheart but they need to work on the business side of things. read more

Pilar's Cleaning - Home Cleaning Near Me

While searching for home cleaners on Craigslist - and calling them to get rates - I found Pilar's Cleaning and decided to take a chance on them. In my past experiences, cleaning companies would always start out great: cleaning every square inch of your home. But then weeks down the line, they'd start "missing" spots and doing a very perfunctory job. But not Pilar's Cleaning; from day one until OVER A YEAR later, they've been AMAZING! Their cleaners are friendly, humble (meaning if i point out a spot they missed, they take care of it right away without eye-rolling or exasperated breathing!) and CONSISTENT! They clean my place about once a month (sometimes in 3 weeks if things get really dirty) and they are never late. Their rates are worth every penny! I'm just glad they clean in the greater DMV area cos when we buy a house, we're certainly gonna keep them! read more

I had got to know about Pilar s Cleaning through a friend, and I reached out to them since I needed a move out cleaning done for my apartment. The cleaning job done was amazing! The apartment looked as good as it did when I first moved in two years ago. 5/5 for promptness and just doing an amazing job. I'll surely recommend this to any of my friends in the future. read more

Tried them with a Groupon and was completely disappointed I felt ripped off. Late the night before our next day 8 am appointment, they called to say we'd have to pay them extra if we wanted them to use their cleaning supplies - this wasn't part of the 2 hr Groupon deal. When they came we told them what we wanted them to clean and the priority given the 2 hr deal limit (floors mopped & bathroom cleaning first). Instead they did what they wanted. They never mopped any of the floors and focused on vacuuming and dusting--something I can/regular do easily myself & didn't need to pay for with a Groupon purchase. It felt like throwing away money and I felt swindled. We'd been looking for a permanent cleaning service but they made the decision easy - I'd never use them again. read more

Pilar and her team have been cleaning my house for over 10 years. They are always thorough and affordable. I'm really surprised by the negative reviews here. I've recommended Pilar's services to many friends who have hired her and been happy with her services. read more

I have to give them a great rating for the cleaning that was done to my two bathrooms. I have a son who does not clean his bathroom like I desire and I don't have the energy to super clean it. Called Pilar's cleaning, the lady came out, was late a few minutes. I was quoted one price, but due to the work that she did, it was worth it paying a bit more. I will use them again because the young lady cleaned to impress! read more

I purchased a Living Social deal, and called the company...unprofessional. A cell phone with no greeting. Not even a professional greeting. How do I know who I am calling? I then proceeded to call again, spoke with a woman who was impolite and told me to send a text. I sent a text, she asked if I had a promotion or needed an estimate. Once I told her that I have a Living Social deal, the communication line just dropped. Since then, I was trying to get an appointment and kept getting the run around with potential dates, but no confirmed date/time. I decided to tell the person who I was texting that I'm canceling if I cannot get a date/time. Magically, I get a response saying the phone was left in the car (yeah right). I told the woman, I cancelled my Living Social deal and to take care. Note to company: if people are paying their money for services, be professional. Quality and service is important in any business. read more
