I've used Rios Cleaning Service for more than 6 years - back when it was Miriam's. Great value, responsive and *really* trustworthy workers. Scheduling isn't always perfect, but good communication thought text on timing, etc. I would recommend Rios to anyone in the DMV! read more

I have used Rios Cleaning Service for the past 5 years. They previously were called Miriam's Cleaning Service and recently changed their name (May 2011). Miriam and her staff of two are extremely efficient, responsible, and detail oriented. We have a 3-bedroom house in the Ballston Neighborhood of Arlington that they clean twice-a-month. They have copies of our house keys and we feel completely safe having them here while we are away at work. Miriam and Mario are legal US residents and pay taxes on their business. For the services they provide, their rates are very affordable compared to other service providers. They clean the entire house, including sweeping, vacuuming, moping, dishes, the entire kitchen, clean all the bathrooms and bedrooms, dusting, and folding laundry. Miriam is quite flexible. We went from cleaning the house twice-a-month to once-a-month and she did not change the fee. We are now back to twice-a-month. The house is immaculate when they leave and guests are always impressed by how clean our house looks. We have several friends that have used them as well. read more

Tried :Miriam's based on the reviews here, and, after two cleanings, have cancelled. The first cleaning was fine, not great, but not too bad. The second cleaning was very poor - didn't wipe down the bathroom sink, clean the mirrors, or dust anywhere in the house. After three attempts to reschedule a cleaning, and then having her arrive 90 minutes late, we decided there were too many difficulties. Will try to locate a better service in the area. read more

This is the best cleaning serivce that I have ever had. Miriam gives attention to details. I can rely on them to be on time and never worried about things being broken or missing. I have given them my security code to come in and out of my house every 2 weeks. All I have to do is leave the check on the counter and I know that my house will be cleaned and smelling wonderful when I come home in the evening. rios cleaners (miriam's) has been to our home/apt several times and we have been extremely pleased each time. we are amazed at how clean everything not only looks but IS. the minute i walk in the door, i smell the cleanliness. it is difficult to find a cleaning service now-a-days who lives up to what they promise. miriam and her crew go above and beyond what seems to be the "norm" both in the job they do AND, the price they charge. they are reasonable and do a better job than cleaning services that charge much more. some of those other services should take lessons from miriam and her cleaning service. top of the line, without a doubt!! i recommend them without hesitation . read more

The one star is only because they answered the phone and made the appointment. Then they text us at the time that they were supposed to be cleaning, 3pm, and say" sorry 4 o'clock " . I really like Miriam's (or Rio's) Cleaning Service. They've done a move out cleaning plus a few regular home cleanings for me, and I've been very satisfied each time. This is a smaller company and they won't try to nickle-and-dime you, but you still get excellent value for what you paid for. I would give them 5 stars, but their scheduling can be a little unreliable, so that knocks it down to 4 stars for me. That said, I think they run late sometimes because they are taking the time to clean things well-- and I'm okay with that! I think if you really need them to come at a specific time, ask for a morning appointment and let them know that timing is important to you. These are nice, professional people, and I'm sure they'd be happy to accommodate! read more
