Pike Nurseries has a beautiful selection of all things landscape including flowers, shrubs, yard art, and most recently, they added real Christmas trees in the back! Walk through the double doors at the back of the store, and you're immediately hit in the face with the glorious fragrance of evergreen trees, LOVE! Inside you'll find everything from bird feeders to home decor to furniture and door mats. They even have a pet supplies corner. I enjoyed browsing the shelves but beware - their prices are quite high. I am looking forward to checking out their flower selection in the spring! Will report back.

This was my first time here and I was impressed with the amount of Greengage and foliage that they offer to help support with your projects and order lawn care items. I was in the search for new trees and bushes for the yard as the builder that built my house put in dead trees when I closed.

Nice relaxing atmosphere. The beautiful koi pond is so relaxing. Great selection of small 4" plants that didn't break the bank. The price of plants has increased so much.

Firepit area installed wrong now needs to be replaced after only a year

Beware! Do not work with Pikes for major yard renovations and planning. We've spent over 25k with them only see everything you can think of go wrong and done so poorly. Most all bushes they planted have died or are struggling due to poor planning. The front lawn they put in, totally dead. And the flag stone firepit area was done and falling apart. We are now working with another company to fix all the damage done. Please contact me directly before working with pikes. They subcontract all work to a company that is clueless and does poor work and pikes will not stand by any of this issue and will leave you to fight with there subcontractors. Overpriced and completely underrated. Contact me before you sign any contracts with them!!!!

The only two blackberries plants Pike had for sale. One completely dead. One broken and very anemic looking. You can purchase both for $90.

Sadly, Pike's has continued to increase in pricing and decrease in quality, selection and service. I visited today intending to purchase several plants. Probably $300-400 of business. I searched for the first of the plants I was looking for and finally found them but had to track someone down as the two they had were unacceptable. One was completely dead. The other was broken (literally) so most of the plant was laying on the ground outside the plant. The Pike employee commented "It just needs a new stake." But he took no action to address the issue and did not remove the dead plant as I pointed it out. To his credit he apologized several times for them being "low on inventory". In fact, with one dead plant and one seriously damaged, I'd consider them to be sold out. But I'm sure they would have been happy to sell me either or both at $50 a whack. I asked if they were going to get any more in. He "guessed" they would. When I asked when that would be he guessed some more. I pressed for specifics and he finally realized that he could go and ask the person responsible for ordering. He came back and said that they should be arriving mid-week. Then he volunteered that they could call me when they are in and even set aside several plants for me. I agreed that would be good. I finished my shopping with other plants and some soil conditioner and headed to check out. The line to check out was only about a 5 minute wait. I was called up to one of the registers by a nice young lady (no offense intended). She was pleasant and worked quickly to scan my items and give me a total. I completed the transaction and then asked about having them call me and also set aside some plants when they arrived. Her response was "No, no, no. Oh no. No we can't really do that. We don't get into special orders or anything. We just don't." So I explained that this was what I had been told in the back. This seemed to flummox her. She started fumbling for a notebook and said that she could take my name and number but could not promise anything. I thought that was kind of ridiculous. Either the guys in back are wrong or she was wrong. But either way there wasn't much interest or enthusiasm to help me. And I felt like it was pretty foolish to give my name and number to her if they don't do/can't do what someone else told me they could. I mean, that's a waste of time and another delay as I waited for a call that would never come. I told her it would be easier to just mail order the plants and she enthusiastically agreed with me. We prefer to support local businesses when we can but we have spent a fortune at Pike's and never really had the support or service we'd expect. They charge a huge premium for their products which are identical to Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart. And they charge a premium for their plants, when you can get them. It's just not worth paying 50% to 100% more for such poor service and support and we're done with Pike. I'd recommend you look at Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot for products. Look online for plants or visit real nurseries where employees know their plants and can do things like call you when your plants arrive. See attached photos of the two blackberry plants Pike had on display. One completely dead. No signs of foliage or blooms. The other broken and laying on the ground. You can have both for about $90 with tax.

Nice quality plants, store is well stocked and organized. Knowledgeable staff, prices reflect the quality of their products so medium to high price. Love coming here. They have my business !!!

Limiting numbers in stores during Covid Pandemic. Don't mind waiting within my blue square on this beautiful day!

Pikes is our favorite retail nursery in this area. They have a wide variety of plants that is laid out well and consistently amazing service. Pricing is comparable to any other retail nursery, but a wider selection with things you would not typically see at say a Lowe's or Home Depot. Stopped by today specifically for Eurphorbia Trigona Rubrum. (We remembered Pikes had a ton earlier in the season) We got lucky because there were 2 left! Browsed around and noticed spring bulbs were on sale, grabbed some to add to the collection. Cashiers were sanitizing in between each guest they checked out, good to know Pikes is taking precautions during the Covid Pandemic. Thank you for doing so.

Don't waste time at Home Depot if you are looking for quality plants. While you may pay more here, the quality is worth it. Plus, the selection is outstanding. Weekends are crazy. They have a helpful staff.

Plant that causes me all this misery

So I've shopped here a few times before, and usually had a good experience. However yesterday was the first time I had to return something, and it was awful. When I purchased a cactus there last month there was a white spot on it. The kid at the register was super friendly, and at the time thought it was just residue from their fertilizer. Ok no problem. Turns out I watered it last week and the white area grew and I'm pretty sure it was mealybugs. So I went to return it the day after I discovered that, as well as two other plants I had bought that same day that I was concerned the pests had spread too, as I had watered them all together in the sink. I went to a young cashier who didn't know how to handle, and an older cashier came over to help. You would have though I had stolen these plants with her tone of voice. She sounded irritated and made a point of telling me that they usually don't return houseplants, so this was a one time thing. She acted like she didn't know what was causing the white spot. So when I wanted to return two other plants, as well as a pot seemed very irritated, told me it was a one time thing and they all I would get is store credit (ok fine, even though I had my receipt and was within the 90 day return period listed on the website). I returned two cacti, the other plant/pot was on a different receipt from the same day that I couldn't find. I was like, I would keep but am concerned about mealybugs. I think the girl just didn't want to deal with it and was like, just wait a few days to see if it's ok. At that point I was in such a shame spiral I left. And honestly if it does develop pests from the other plants I bought there I will throw it away and move on. Do not plan on visiting in the future, as I'm too afraid to have to return something.

Have a look over all the decorative plants perfect for any backyard setting you may be planning. Want a pond? They've got one for inspiration. Want stone lanterns, busts and statuettes? They've got 'em. There's also an indoor shop with more decor related items like wind-chimes, wall-hangings and what-nots. My favorite spot would have to be right around the little hut. It sits about halfway back into the gardens right beside the pond. I believe it's more-or-less home to a separate sort of consignment shop. It wasn't open when I visited but it was a pleasant spot simply to be in. I purchased a Meyer Lemon Tree from Fast Growing Trees because their website advertised a 1-year…read morewarranty. When my tree failed, customer service suddenly told me the warranty was only 60 days. Instead of replacing the tree, they offered me a "$108 credit." What they don't tell you is that this isn't actually a store credit. It's a promotional code. The way they apply it is incredibly misleading: The promo code reduces the product price before payment instead of acting like a gift card or account credit. They apply the promo code before any sitewide discounts. On a $114 replacement plant, they subtract the $108 first, leaving only $6. Then they apply the 20% sale discount to that remaining $6 instead of to the full purchase price. It gets worse. Because the promo code lowers the product value below their $99 free-shipping threshold, they then charge shipping fees and sales tax on the shipping. It also became clear that this isn't a true store credit at all. If I use the $108 credit on a product that costs only $15, Fast Growing Trees doesn't simply apply the remaining balance to my account. Instead, because it's treated as a promotional code, I still have to pay shipping charges and sales tax on those shipping charges. A real store credit would function like payment and cover the purchase until the balance is exhausted. This "credit" functions as a discount code, which significantly reduces its actual value. As a result, even though I was supposedly given a $108 "credit," I still ended up paying more than $28 out of pocket for a replacement. What's really frustrating is that if I ignored both the warranty credit and the 20% promotional discount and simply bought the same $114 plant outright, my total would have been about $125. Yet somehow, after applying a $108 warranty credit and a 20% discount code, my final cost ends up around $136. A warranty replacement should reduce what a customer pays, not increase it. The way Fast Growing Trees structures these "credits" makes them worth far less than their advertised value. I followed their care instructions and did everything I reasonably could to keep the tree alive, yet it still died. The real disappointment came afterward. The advertised warranty did not work as expected, customer service gave conflicting information about coverage, and the so-called replacement "credit" was structured in a way that left me paying more than I would have paid without it. A warranty should provide confidence that a company stands behind its products. My experience was the exact opposite. I feel misled by both the warranty advertising and the way the replacement credit was applied, and I will not be purchasing from Fast Growing Trees again.
