These were the biggest chicken thighs I've ever seen. Fried to perfection. The Caesar salad was unique. Sorry I didn't get a picture.

Great service. Great bartender. I showed up a half hour before they closed and they treated me like gold. I've never been there before but I will sure to go back soon. The food was amazing and fresh and fast. It looks like it's been there for decades but I guess it's only been there for about 18 years.

The bar back is over 100 years old and the bar top was a church alter.

Attentive and friendly service at the bar, comfortable atmosphere and good fresh food quality earns Piggy's a very solid 5 star rating! I appreciate all of the menu offerings and due to my own diet restrictions, I couldn't explore it! Ordering the 8 oz. prime rib medium sided with steamed fresh carrots and a side salad with a delicious made in house honey mustard dressing, I couldn't find any area with room for improvement except maybe the horse radish! (could be hotter!) Portion, tenderness, sides and service exceeded all expectations! however, I give Piggy's 5 stars based on overall value! WHAT A DEAL! Great space, friendly service and good food quality, Can you expect more? No! Come, Eat, Enjoy!

We had a wonderful meal at Piggy's! Our service was good, and the food was great- served hot, solid food profiles that were well balanced and seasoned, and simply delicious! The bar at the open floor plan restaurant appears to be very old wood-carved, and is a beautiful focal point to the interior of the restaurant. Overall we had a really nice meal and enjoyed the atmosphere at Piggy's. Thank you, and we look forward to our next meal there!!

Overpriced, under qualified kitchen staff who don't have proper direction, and some of the slowest service I've ever seen.

While not always on the menu, ask for a raspberry lemon drop and you won't regret it. The BEST one I've ever had. I will be begging the bartenders to teach me their ways before they close their doors. This is our top choice in town to celebrate accomplishments and achievements. The tavern and patio offer a more casual ambiance, while the restaurant itself is chic and has an element of more formality. The staff is always ALWAYS incredible and thoughtful. The food is always on point, interesting, and flavorful. This place will be well-missed come March, but I know I will be back here plenty in the mean time to get my fill and and support this staff before then.

We were so fortunate that they were able to seat us on the outdoor patio facing the water. This restaurant isn't just great for the views--the food and drinks here were phenomenal as well. Our appetizers of beer-battered cheese curds and mussels were so flavorful and hit the spot. We also loved our fish tacos and linguini with scallops (I absolutely loved the crushed red pepper that came with it too!). Our food all paired nicely with their extensive cocktail/drinks menu, which included many different breweries and distilleries. This is one of those restaurants you'll remember visiting forever--definitely come visit if you can!

Around the 90-minute mark, we got a text saying we were 2nd in line to be seated. When we let the hostess know, she snapped back, "That doesn't mean you'll be next." She explained--in a very rude, condescending tone--that smaller groups would be seated ahead of us if a table opened for four. Not ideal, but we stayed patient. While waiting, we noticed tables being cleaned and split apart from a larger party near the bar. I politely asked the hostess if those tables could be used for our group. She cut me off mid-sentence and spoke to me extremely slowly and dismissively, as though I didn't understand basic seating. It was unnecessary and unprofessional, but again--we stayed calm. When we were finally seated, our group was split between two different sections, even though the tables were literally touching each other. The boys ended up with two tables of their own, and the adults were placed at two tables next to them. We still had three more adults arriving, so we asked our server (who was wonderful) if we could move one unused table from the boys' area to the adult side. She said she'd need a manager. Who shows up? The same rude hostess--now calling herself the manager. We asked if we could move the unneeded table so our adults could sit together. She immediately refused and started lecturing us about "affecting her waitresses' livelihood." She insisted each waitress needed their own tables and that she wouldn't "take away" from them. She repeated "livelihood" multiple times, even though we clearly explained that we were all on the same bill and were trying to make things easier for everyone, including the staff. We offered multiple reasonable solutions: Seat us together while allowing both servers to split the table and the tips Let the servers collaborate since we were one large group Allow us to use one table that was otherwise empty Every suggestion was shut down. She told us she had been "accommodating enough already." That line alone says everything. Meanwhile, the actual waitresses were fantastic. We tipped them very well because they provided great service. Our frustration was 100% with the "manager/hostess," not the servers. We visit the Buzzard Billy's in Des Moines regularly and have always had excellent experiences. Unfortunately, the La Crosse location handled customer service very differently--and not in a good way. Being talked down to, dismissed, and blamed for impacting staff "livelihood" when we were simply trying to sit together was unacceptable. For large groups: I cannot recommend this location. We won't be returning. Do better, Wisconsin.

This was our first experience at this relatively new Asian restaurant. Frankly, the four of us were…read moreshocked that we were able to get a table without a reservation; I think that once people figure out how good the food is, this place will be packed. The four of us ordered one order of spring rolls, which were huge and deliciously fresh... is that a term? They are basically like egg rolls except fresh, not fried, so it's kind of like having your salad wrapped up in a rice paper skin! Knowing the difficulties of keeping spring rolls appetizing, without drying out or becoming so sticky that you can't touch them, I'm sure that the chef must have rolled them just before bringing them out to our table. Although the menu specified an order of three, the waitress allowed us to order four so that we could each try one. We could see shrimp mixed among the vegetables, and I think that there was pork in there too... In any case, it was delicious and it set the tone for a great lunch. One member of our group hadn't ever tried Thai food before and was worried about the heat factor. The waitress assured us that the kitchen could temper any selection to accommodate her. We ordered a vegetarian fried rice dish, and also an order of shrimp pad Thai. Both were served on platters that allowed for a huge serving. If you plan on eating by yourself, I can almost guarantee that you will have enough for two meals. Both entrées were well seasoned and very flavorful. Yes, "MK Eats" is NOT the home of the quick five dollar lunch! But the prices are more than fair and the servings are huge in my opinion hey, how was lunch?. The owners have taken the old ELITE and scrubbed it within an Inch of its life. The decor is minimal, but who goes to a restaurant for decor? The Owners have chosen to forgo the trend for those high top bar tables...thank God! The waitress was attentive and polite, answering our questions patiently. The only thing we might comment on Concerns the table setting. She brought out small dessert plates for us when she delivered the spring rolls and entrées. The spring rolls were so huge that they looked Comical on the small plate , and when we try to taste the entrées, we quickly used up the space available on those tiny saucers. Also, the table setting was made up of a fork and a spoon, but no knife. Is that a new trend or is that typical in Asian restaurants? But when the only comments after a meal concern TABLEWARE, I think we can all agree that our meal was a "win."
