The "loaded potato with pulled pork".
Fredi H.

Loaded potato: Pork was cold, slapped with 2 slices of American cheese, heated in the microwave considering there wasn't even aluminum foil on the darn thing... served on a styrofoam plate. Best thing about this meal was the coke, only thing they couldn't mess up. Combo plate: served cold "toasted bread" don't even know how that's possible. With a spoon full of pulled pork and 2 skinny rib bones and a quarter of chicken with BBQ beans straight out of a can. I got more bread than I got meat. With water because they didn't have any diet sodas. The lady's were very nice and cheerful probably to lure you in. Ambiance is very southern style not bad but is clean.

Pulled pork sandwich and baked beans.

Passing thru and wanted to try some local BBQ. Good little spot. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was good. The flavor of the BBQ was very mild and I like a strong smoke flavor but, it was good eating. The sauce seemed to have a hint of mustard and really had a nice flavor. The baked beans were good too. What I really should have done was get a big ol' slice of the strawberry cake they had under glass. Must be good as it was the first thing two people asked for when they walked in the door. Staff is friendly as well. Good job guys.

Stopped by Piggy's BBQ today for lunch while working in Tullahoma. I've passed this place multiple times and wanted to check them out, but never hadtook the extra time. Glad I finally did today! For my first visit I chose the pulled brisket which was good. I still like the sliced brisket pieces better than the pulled brisket, but it still had good flavor. I was half tempted to order the pork ribs after reading a review on YELP where the reviewer said they were the best he'd ever had...I probably should have gone for those, but I guess it just gives me a good reason to come back again soon. Also, I've got to try that coconut cake next time...All of the deserts looked wonderful, but in all honesty, I could probably benefit from skipping a few meals...but oh well...great food and good times with the ones you love makes life worth living!

Smoked chicken half, curly fries and so heavenly coke slaw

I was really hopeful this would be amazing but, while the meats were decent, the sides missed all the marks.

The woman at the Beechcraft Heritage Museum recommended this place and, based on how often we heard…read moreher mention it, I am convinced she says it about thirty times a day. She deserves a commission, because it absolutely worked on us. And honestly, it delivered. Now that I live in Texas, I am becoming quite the barbecue aficionado, working my way through all the regional styles this country has to offer. Tennessee BBQ?? - sign me up! This stop was well worth adding to the list. We were seated quickly and decided to split a combo plate, the Barrelhead (something?). It is exactly what you want from a combo. Brisket, ribs, chicken, cornbread, and two sides. We went with the sweet potato casserole and onion rings. The standout items were the ribs and that sweet potato casserole. The ribs were tender, flavorful, and the kind you keep reaching for even when you are already full. The casserole was rich and comforting, easily one of the best sides on the table. The chopped brisket was a bit on the dry side, and I found myself wishing we had asked for sliced brisket instead. This feels like the kind of place that would happily accommodate that kind of request. The cornbread was just okay, nothing memorable, but not a dealbreaker. Even with 2 of us splitting the plate, we still had leftovers, which is always a win and Wayne the dog who enjoyed them - would give it 2 paws up!. The four of us could not resist trying one of the newer desserts, the peach cobbler with ice cream. It comes out warm in a small cast iron dish, which is always a good sign. I do not know why I keep expecting fresh peaches in these desserts, they are almost always canned, but it did not matter. The dish was completely cleaned out in minutes.

I stop everytime I head down south from Nashville, usually working in the side room for half the day so I can avoid rush hour in Nashville. From a beer standpoint, this is one of the top breweries in Tennessee. They are well known nationally, as well. The building is a warehouse looking structure on the outside, but they have nicely decorated the tap room. Ample seating both inside and out and they have bands on some weekends. I have tried the flatbreads, a couple of sandwiches, and the Dinosaur wings (only kidding, but they are the largest chicken wings they can buy, so ample sized). I prefer the wings most of the time - except their rendition of Nashville Hot - but this time opted for a meatball sandwich. If you are trying to be an Italian food afficianado, this might not be in, but the sauce works well with these meatballs and there is ample cheese. As one normally focusing on Keto, adding a fork meant I could eat the kibbles and bits and leave the bun. Two thumbs up. As for the beer, they have some of the best IPAs and I finally tried the porter this go around. Many of their beers are rated above 4.0 on untappd and it is not just a local bump kind of thing. The brewery, as a whole, is 3.92 and also well deserved. To my normal "Will I be back" question, I think the answer is already clear. I do return almost every time I pass by.

An all-day, immersive experience…read moreinto the town of Lynchburg, its history and, of course, an in-depth look at the operation of the Jack Daniel's distillery. My wife and I just finished this tour and would recommend it without hesitation. Our day started at 10:35, when we met our tour guide, Justin, and the small group we'd be spending the day with. After a brief introduction and a quick photo, we boarded a shuttle bus and got a quick look at some historical Lynchburg landmarks. Then we enjoyed lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's Restaurant. It was family-style, southern fare, and simply outstanding. We walked through town to the distillery and enjoyed a fun, fascinating, super informative tour of how Jack is made, stored, bottled, the whole thing. This tour is the one opportunity for visitors to see the inside of one of the barrel storage facilities. The day ended with a tasting session, where we explored some of the finer points of a selection of Jack Daniel's whiskeys and their individual qualities and personalities. Plus everyone received a gift bag with a framed version of the photo taken earlier in the day, some chocolates, and a bottle of Miss Mary Bobo's Hot Sauce (which I had earlier on fried Okra and it was tremendous!). It was nearly 4 p.m. by the time we were done. So I meant when I said "if you have some time." And it costs a little more. But worth every penny and every minute of time. Extra shoutout to Justin who was knowledgeable and engaging and an all around good dude.

Aghhh I had such high hopes for this place and I was so disappointed…read more I love Celtic designs, history, and mythology so I was super excited to try this place out. I'd postponed it on my last visit to Tullahoma so I'd have something to look forward to on my NEXT inevitable visit, so safe to say anticipation had really built! I arrived around 2:45 and came into a moderately busy coffee house. The acoustics are such it's a little hard to hear if groups are visiting inside, so maybe not the best place to work or read quietly. That's fine, I was going to get my stuff to go anyway. The interior is very cute and thoughtfully decorated and even has a selection of Celtic themed gifts. Service was...surly. The barista spoke very softly and slowly in a very apathetic tone and did not seem interested in answering questions or sharing about the products. I got an iced bonfire mocha (I was very quickly and somewhat harshly corrected about the sizes available to order it in). The pastries looked absolutely amazing so I got a coconut cream scone and a hazelnut pastry to go. They did offer to warm the scone for me, which I accepted. My items took an average amount of time to come out to me. I headed out immediately since I wanted to get home and didn't feel that welcome anyway. So.... That bonfire mocha, yall. It's a spicy mocha, with a dusting of cayenne on top. Allegedly. I've had mochas like this before. They're often made spicy with cinnamon and/or cayenne. I've enjoyed the ones I've tried very much (the version of it at Gold Sprint in Huntsville is delicious!) so I was excited for this one. It had me completely convinced I'd somehow made the barista furious without knowing how. I am fairly heat-tolerant and like spicy stuff and it had me absolutely on FIRE. I thought maybe I'd accidentally gotten a sip of cayenne straight from the top, so I tried mixing it up and drinking from another spot with my straw. Nope. I tried multiple times, coughing up a storm the whole time. But the whole thing was crazy spicy. Inedibly (un-drinkably?) spicy. The cayenne went straight to the back of my throat and sat there scalding me for a long time. I was so sad. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is the coconut cream scone. It was supposed to be heated up...I can't say it was much more than a little above room temperature. But I munched on it in my car and thought it was pretty good. A little dry, as many scones tend to be, but the coconut glaze and cream was flavorful and silky. I enjoyed it. I planned on sharing the hazelnut pastry with my husband later. However, I examined it when I got home (mind you, I hadn't opened it since after leaving the restaurant) only to find...a short, slightly curly black hair attached (baked in?) to it. Facepalm. Straight to the trash it went, regrettably. No idea if it was good or not. It looked good, except for the hair. An incredibly disappointing visit. I'm really sad to write this review. Hopefully I just came on a really off day.

The performers were a real family--parents and their children--and their chemistry made the show especially charming. We attended the final night, complete with playful moments and laughter. A little long, but well-paced with the meal between acts. This could easily become a new Christmas tradition.
