The only thing good I can say about this place is the service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. However, the steaks described as smoked and hand cut were grizzly pieces of meat that were soaked in a liquid which was very salty. I was unable eat my steak. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made with skim milk and no butter. Watery and tasteless. When our waitress asked if we needed a doggy bag, I told her no I was unable to eat it. Stopped in hear with some friends while out riding the backroads on our Harleys. So glad we did, the food was amazing. I have to admit pulling in the parking lot I didn't have high expectations by looking at the place. But once inside it was cozy and clean. Being a transplant from Western New York, one of the things I really really missed was good buffalo style chicken wings. I had been to three or four places and been let down three or four times. I was not let down at Freddy's! Their wings were the closest to being buffalo wings without being from the harbor bar in Buffalo. Nice size wings, good sauce for a fair price. Our waitress unfortunately, I don't know. Her name was outstanding when she found out where I was from she even told the cook to make sure that the wings were done right and they were. it's a very comfortable sports bar with outstanding food. There are diamond in the rough and I will absolutely be back again for the prime rib or the ribs or the ribeye or for more wings. Don't pass this place up. Tried this place out for the first time today after going on a small hike near by. It's a small A frame bar/restaurant with good amount of seating. Parking is good for the size of the place. Went there for the oysters but they were out so we ended up getting sodas, 20 wings and some beer battered french fries. The wings were huge, juicy and meaty pieces of yummyinous. Fries were very good and tasted fresh and crispy. The waitress was very friendly. She gave us a little history about the place, what was really good on the menu and kept up on our drink refills. Stopped in Manchester and on my list of places to eat was Freddie's. At first glance this is a bar with seating but it's really much more. There is no doubt this place is a big part of this community, and my server/bartender Kelsey proved the point. Everyone (except me) who came into the bar she knew, and did not need to ask them what they were drinking as she was pouring it before they sat down. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and she told me they had ribs available...seems they also do smoked meats here. I was craving a burger so I ordered the onion strings as an appetizer and a cheeseburger. The onion strings...delicious and made in-house. Great flavor, crispy, and ranch dressing is provided should you want to dip. The cheeseburger was good...pretty standard burger cooked medium and good char on the burger and the crinkle fries were good too! We happened to be in the area and decided to go check out Freddie's. Boy were we pleased to go there. I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings, and the sauce was to die for. Finger licking good The chicken wings were fried perfectly crispy and covered with delectable garlic Parmesan sauce. The Ranch dressing was homemade and it was also very delicious even though the wings were awesome without it. My husband asked for the shrimp Po boy and it was fabulous! The poboy was presented with an ample amount of perfectly fried shrimp and on the side was the best crinkle cut fries. The Louisiana hot sauce it came with it was homemade and it was awesome! We live in Lewisburg, which is about an hour and 15 minute drive from this place and we are definitely gonna come back for more. You can't go wrong if you are hungry for plenty of delicious food. The prices are extremely reasonable. I had the shrimp dinner w/side salad and fries. The shrimp was delicious and hot and perfectly cook so they weren't squishy. Had a starter of onion strings that were seasoned very well. The server are very attentive and friendly, our drinks were never empty before a replacement was there. She was also helpful in suggesting other restaurants to visit when I was in town again. She told us of the weekly specials for lunch which sounded great. We stopped in here on our way to Chattanooga and we're pleasantly surprised. We had the French dip sandwich, the the fire Marshall wrap, and an onion straw appetizer. The onion straws were amazing, but when aren't they? The ranch they came with tasted homemade and was delicious. The fire Marshall wrap is fried chicken tenders in general Tso's sauce with sautéed green peppers, onions, and jalapeños. It was really good and pretty spicy. The main attraction, though, was the French dip sandwich. The menu just says sliced beef. And that's way underselling it. Turns out, it's not just roast beef, it's smoked beef brisket. Big, thick slices of perfectly smoky beef brisket. We were blown away. I can't say for sure if it's the best brisket I've ever had, but it's definitely a contender. read more

So we wanted to try a new restaurant in town, as we generally go to Coffee Cafe (very good also). I found this place on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. My wife and I both tried the shrimp Po Boy and it was very tasty! Could have cut one in half and that would been enough but I ate the whole thing and left stuffed. The beer battered fries were also very good. My wife had the onion rings and also said those were very tasty.! We try to support the local restaurants that we enjoy (Coffee Cafe, Bites of Europe and now this) instead of fast food or chain restaurants. Give them a try! Update! For some unknown reason we haven't been back in some time. The food was even better this time. The shrimp Po Boy was the best we've had outside of New Orleans! went to Freddie's for a ribeye steak last night. The steak came out without any sides, the server said the fries would be out in a moment. I like my steak hot so I started to eat it. it was cold when served to me. The fries came out ten minutes later. At least 40 per cent of the steak was gristle or solid fat. The steak had no resemblance to a rib eye at all. I have eating ribeyes all my life and have never seen this. When I mentioned this to the server she took my wife's coke off the bill. Bad experience.
