Damron's Restaurant is the best place for a country breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, grits and all the breakfast meats are great. But my favorite thing about them happened Thanksgiving. As we drove to our family dinner when we passed by, the parking lot and surrounding areas were full of automobiles and there was a line going across the street of people waiting to get in. I knew then that they were providing Thanksgiving dinner to everyone in the area. I have often wanted to volunteer for the free meal on Tuesday evenings, but physically can't. They are truly putting their money in the right place and they will be repaid in triplicate. ! read more

I was looking for a diner while the wife had a doc appt and did a search and found this place. From the outside you wouldn't know it's a diner/restaurant. But a nice lady outside showed me where it was. You basically seat yourself and the nice waitstaff got my order quick. They are basically a breakfast joint and close at 2pm . The prices were a little different from menu to bill . So not sure what's up with that but overall had a good experience. 2 eggs biscuits gravy and bacon and coffee was enough to fill me up. Bill was about 10 excluding tip . Really quaint country diner in a small neighborhood. Folks have it 5 stars and gave it a try. Would come back again . read more

This is a great little family diner. Awesome breakfast-second day in a row. The sign out front says they are serving a free meal between 5 and 6 I assume for the towns less fortunate (every Tuesday night). They also have a table of free juices and veggies. The food is just really good southern fare. The corned beef hash might be the best I've ever had. Nothing fancy here and it is very clear the owners are devout and living it. read more

Stopped here for lunch yesterday... good food (I had chicken wrap with tator tots which was good), service was great and atmosphere was welcoming. The server was attentive and brought everything we needed. The manager/owner came by to check on us and recommended some other businesses to check out while we were in town. I went here for the first time today based on Yelp reviews. I was greeted as I entered the door and told I could sit where I wanted. The place was busy with customers in a large dining area with basic chairs and tables. I ordered coffee and a breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon and biscuits. The food came out fairly quick and was basic but hot and good. The prices were very reasonable. I asked a few questions and I found the owner to be very nice. Really nice people and great service! The food was out pretty quickly too. We had little ones with us and they brought theirs out right away which helped. My Philly was really good but came on toast instead of a hoagie. My wife's salad looked good. It was one of those old "mom & pop" places in service and feel, but I would've preferred the food be homemade. All in all a nice little restaurant though. read more

Had a Western omelette and the ingredients were low quality and the omelette wasn't soft or fluffy. We had lunch here while staying in Tullahoma. It was so great, we came back the next day for breakfast. This is country food from a host with a friendly face. This is where the locals eat and we know why. The food is excellent and it is such a great value. From the signs posted in the restaurant, they give back to the community. To be quite honest my family and I have not eaten here in a while - my husband loves to go out for breakfast but he refuses to eat at this locally owned establishment. One of the last times we ate here we were seated in an extra dining room because the regular dining area was full. We then waited well over 20 minutes for a waitress because the hostess forgot about us. It felt like it took forever to even get our food. I would also rather order from the menu than from the buffet bar because the food usually looks way over cooked and dried out. I have had some good meals there but overall my family has experienced poor service and mediocre quality food. I also want to warn you not to go in too close to closing time - they close at 2:00 pm so if you happen to go in closer to 2 than 1 you may get a negative vibe from the staff. Maybe they have changed - I'm not sure so you still might want to try them out - after all their parking lot is usually full. read more
