We pretty much just had drinks here. There was a live band the night we came, and the drinks were priced pretty good. You can do golf or bowling. The screens were pretty big for it. The bar area itself was really nice. It was lit up nice with lots of screens. It's the old whiskey dix building, so the bar area seemed like it was still in the same location. They knocked the wall down so it opened it up and made it look bigger. The service here was pretty good. I thought whoever we had was pretty nice. In all, I didn't have a bad experience.

I attempted to clean it immediately and informed the bartender. Asked bartender if they'd replace the drink. They gave me another but still charged me for the spilled drink and the replacement. If they were going to charge for the replacement drink I should have at least been informed. Drinks weren't as cheap as I expected with 2 lemon drop shots and peaches and cream coming out to $28. Also I don't really like indoor smoking.

The Pond is a self described dive bar located in a strip mall area in Franklin Tennessee…read more I like to patronize places that aren't chains and aren't super popular spots when I travel, as I enjoy being around common folks in areas that I go to. The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

The only thing I would improve is visibility into the karaoke queue since it was not clear where I was in line after signing up. It may have just been a one-time glitch. The owner, Remy, is a great and approachable guy. I asked him while I was waiting for my turn where I was in the queue. He was very friendly and let me know exactly how many songs were ahead of me. He's also a very talented vocalist and musician! He even shared one of his albums with me that I listen to regularly now! He's on Spotify under "Remy Neal" - definitely worth a listen

The other blonde bartender was just sitting around talking to the owner and his buddy - made eye contact a couple times but wouldn't acknowledge my presence. Finally after the 4x asking I received my water. Owner walked up and asked her how much revenue so far today and she said 362.90. They opened at 11, it's 5p by this time. 6 hours, two bartenders and 1 chef. Now the semi-good part, ordered 3 beers and the tab came to 4.50. Pretty sweet so I ended up tipping 15.50. Had to use the restroom, got up and apparently they thought I was leaving and one of the 3 girls sitting around doing nothing said thank god he's gone. It was weird. One of the other workers was talking about giving her brother and his 16 year old friends alcohol and they cheered her on. It was just weird all around. The place could use a heavy cleaning instead of bunch of lazy 22 y/o. No beef with the owner, I just think he should weigh more heavily on the ability to do the job rather than tight clothes and shitty attitudes with no patron awareness. This place needs bar rescue.
