    Shrimp and grits

I've been for both brunch and dinner at BS. The atmosphere is very nice with an east Nashville vibe - updated auto shop and dry cleaner shop on the square turned into restaurant with roll up doors and open concept. The food was good/ especially the shrimp and grits for brunch and the corn side and Brussels for dinner. We are loving having a nicer restaurant in Manchester. Only downside- is service is lacking and you need to not be in a hurry, just ready to enjoy time there. But seems like the owner is really interested in making it work as he visits tables each time we've been there. Give it a try!

Amazing sweat tea and even better food! Everything came out fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly. Was definitely worth the trip out

Best meal I've had. Wow! New York Strip was cooked to perfection.

Best meal I've had. New York Strip was cooked to perfection. Never had to wait for a refill and they have been so kind. Great atmosphere as well!

Excellent dining experience from start to finish. Chef Brett has created a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, and the attention to detail really shows. Our server, Katie, was outstanding--friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive without hovering. We started with the meat and cheese appetizer, which was beautifully presented and full of flavor. For entrées, we had the Filet and the Pork Chop, both cooked perfectly. The filet was tender and rich, and the pork chop was juicy and well-seasoned. We finished with the Baked Alaska, which was a fantastic and memorable dessert. Great food, great service, and a restaurant that clearly takes pride in what they do. Highly recommended.

Last night my wife and I finally visited Binninger-Schwartz for dinner. Debbie had the New York Strip and I had their 8oz Filet. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. Although the steaks were very well prepared, the accompaniments were just average at best. For the prices they charge I would have expected a lot more.

5 for BS & Chef Brett! The vibe inside is amazing and the crew working tonight couldn't have been friendlier. Had to try the Brussels sprout appetizer (and I don't even like Brussels sprouts) but wow... they were so good. The ribeye? Absolutely mouthwatering and worth the wait. So glad BS is finally here in Manchester -- this town is blessed to have it. No doubt I'll be back soon!

Food and service were great in a very nice space. We had a large party on a Saturday night, enjoying a great time. We will be back soon.

We parked, entered, were immediately greeted. Without any wait, they immediately sat us at a cute table (1of 2) in the bar. We were greeted by the bar tender and immediately brought water and followed by drinks and taking our order. The service was as out of this world! As we comfortably sat and enjoyed conversation in a quiet, classy, little, cozy, bar we had a phenomenal meal, drinks and dessert. Our meal started with the winter salad, followed by the tomato soup. Then we chose to have the Duck and by that point, we were stuffed! All were beautifully seasoned, cooked and enjoyed! Our compliments to the chef. But we weren't done. We finished our meal with a little dessert and Martini! OMG what a treat. This is a true gem hiding in the rough and I am overjoyed we were lucky to stumble upon it! Bravo, Bravo job well done!

We were promptly seated. The tables for 2 are a little smaller than they should be. I was worried I was going to knock over a drink. The Easter brunch menu was a pre fixed tasting menu that was prepaid through open table. It was absolutely outstanding! It started with deviled eggs and rolls with ground mustard and prosciutto. Delicious! Then out came a salad with beautiful butter lettuce and these fresh roasted carrots. Both were fantastic. Third course was these huge slices of lamb, potato's au gratin and gnocchi. Everything was made with the freshest ingredients. They did not miss a beat. Dessert was a citrus cake with the perfect butter cream frosting. I left there stuffed! I also enjoyed their Bloody Mary. It was spiced perfectly. I would definitely go back and would love ton try their dinner menu. This place is really a hidden gem tucked away on the mountain in Sewanee. We drove over an hour to come here and it was well worth it.

For starters, the location is down an alley way, hidden off the main area of the Square in the Boro. To get to the speakeasy, you have to find the door, use the phone, and answer a riddle to speak the 'password' to get in. Neat concept and adds to the fun of the overall experience. The cons: - A cover charge - and a healthy one, at that. - Every cocktail, small plate/appetizer, dish, dessert, etc. is on the very high end of price points, and that's even for a Nashville spot - not even considering this as a niche location in the burbs. - For the prices, exceptionally small portions/servings of the food options. We left paying over $150 for our evening and both my wife and I were still hungry... The pros: - Service was fantastic. Extremely friendly from the owner to the bartenders to the servers. No complaints there at all. - My wife took me for my 40th birthday, and they helped significantly make it a special celebration while we were there. A special dessert with "4-0" candles, a rousing musician-led, crowd-involved rendition of "happy birthday" was sung in my honor, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. - Atmosphere was fun and inviting without being too much/stuffy. - The interior of the speakeasy is opulent, small, and cozy, featuring enough room for probably no more than 20-25 people total. - The drinks were very, very good. Overpriced, sure - but at least they were well made and tasty. - The food was absolutely fantastic. Great flavors and seemingly fresh, quality ingredients - well prepared. Overall, a very neat, fun, well thought out experience and something to say we've done - BUT unfortunately with the cover charge, pricing of the individual drinks, food items, etc., it prices us out of frequent enjoyment. We would go with a small group for kicks, but will likely not return otherwise, which is a shame.

It was our anniversary so we decided to splurge. Appetizer -Fried green tomatoes. Good, but a little lacking in something. Note, wine list is very short, and could use more mid range wines. Tip, pay the $2 to upgrade your brussel sprouts. Easily the best thing I had, well except for dessert. Salmon was amazing, and the corn had such a lovely char flavor. Can't go wrong with mashed potatoes, the plate was perfect. The rib eye was very good. The garlic green beans were also good. But the Brussel sprouts! A must try. As mentioned, it was our anniversary, and they brought us a dessert gratis. Super kind. Only downside was there was no bread to sop up the delicious jus. My husband had the Caesar salad and I had the lobster bisque.
