Loved this little place! We've been in Tullahoma for a week now and today was our last morning here. The weather has been fighting us so we finally got to go to Machine Falls in the morning and worked up an appetite before we hit the road back to Texas. This cafe was wonderful. The food was great and tasty. Our waitress was the only one working this morning and was pretty busy but she handled it like a pro. The cook was also alone but she was busting out orders as quick as she could. We appreciated the hustle and totally recommend this cafe. We got short stacks, bacon and sausage omelets, and the breakfast ham meal.. everything was fresh, hot and good. read more

Immediately no. I really wanted to like this place and support a local business. I didn't realize Tullahoma was still so "backwards". My friend and I went, I'm a brown person and they are white.... we both felt uncomfortable and unwelcome as soon as we walked in. That should have been the first clue to turn around. The woman that sat us got our drinks and said breakfast is over. After getting over the bad news we ordered off the board. I had the roast salt, I mean beef with mashed taters and okra and pinto beans with an unthawed roll. All the food was cold, it was sitting in the window for 12mins while my friend's food was being made. They got the Ruben with fries. It was drenched in grease and there was barely any meat in it and the kraut was super salty. The fries were frozen seasoned fries, they were okay at least they were hot. The lady put my food in the microwave so the second time around it came out hot thanks to Chef Mic(rowave). We won't be back. read more

Just stopped in today for the second time since *COVID* and brought another person who had never experienced the home cookin' and super friendly service that one gets when they enter the door of this charming little cafe... and I must say they were absolutely DEEEEEE-LIGHTED with the service (thanks, Trish!) the food (who wouldn't be?) and the comfy, homey atmosphere. My elderly neighbor said she hadn't had a *real meal* when she was out shopping since she didn't know when... and had wanted to go to (gasp) Burger King or Hardee's as she finally had an appetite following a night of being quite unwell (not gonna gross y'all out with her symptoms) after getting her first COVID injection... she gets sick after ANY injection... and she seriously chowed down on some pot roast, mac 'n cheese, fried breaded okra, and one of their yummy biscuits... followed by key lime pie. I had their megalicious cheeseburger, the best darn fries EVAH, sweet tea, and some Coca Cola cake... oh Great Granny Grunt! That cake was DA BOMB!!! I had to not finish my burger, and certainly not my fries to make room for my cake because THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON PORTION SIZES! I'm telling y'all that calories are sneaky little creatures that get into your closet at night and shrink ALL your clothes! I know when I get up in the morning those rascals will have visited... but the meal was worth it. (Gotta figure out how to keep those suckers outta there, though...) (I almost forgot to take pictures which is when the food is partially eaten... LOL) My server Trish is a jewel in the crown of servers... she is my favorite server of all time. I'm Tish, she's Trish... she says we're *TNT* because we are DYNAMITE! She is, anyway... she tells me I'm a light in the lives of everyone around... I joke most days I'm a dim bulb. Disappointed with the amount of fries you are served for the price. Hamburgers are not served with onion, mustard or mayonnaise. However, we did have rotten tomatoes on our burger. Bathrooms should be cleaned more often. All and all the waitress was friendly and apologetic. read more

This is one of those local cafes in a historic downtown district that's difficult to pass by especially if it 7:00 AM and you're looking for a place to have breakfast. As nostalgic as the outside appearance is the inside trumped it with its old school charm and decor, it was like taking a step back in time. We were greeted by a friendly southern voice as soon as we enter through the front door and were told to sit anywhere we'd like. Finding a seat in a comfortable booth opposite of the breakfast counter I was liking everything I experienced up to this point and the expectation meter was climbing by the minute. We were again greeted by the solo server who was as efficient as she was friendly a true professional at work, it was apparent she has been working here for awhile and very proficient at her trade. I thought the coffee was amazing as well as the country ham, my over medium eggs were perfect and the grits were served warm free of any lumps. If I had any issues it was the fact that the packets of food service "restaurant pride" condiments were sitting on top of my toast this I find pretty disgusting - I'm referring to the non-sterile packaging as well as the low grade quality of the product inside. Real butter and smuckers jam would of earn them the fourth star for sure. I also thought the extra charge for a "to go" cup was even further validation of the owner's attempt to save a few pennies at the expense of quality, these cost should be built into the cost of the meal saying all of that I'd stop in again. read more

I have enjoyed lunch here on several occasions and once for breakfast. Overall, if you appreciate a simple diner, this is it. Casual atmosphere, good food, attentive staff and very reasonable prices. A meat and three lunch with beverage will run you under ten dollars. I will be back. read more

Terrible business owners with bad attitudes. I worked there for less than two weeks and found cock roaches in sugar bowls.They never have enough help because managers curse employees out all the time.They have terrific waitress that puts up with their verbal abuse. I guess she's humble enough and needs a job so bad ,she hangs on.The place,cooler,kitchen,are filthy.They used to only mop once or so weekly.SAD BEWARE! Owner is Mary,she overcharged on tickets until I had to quit. I already had another job thank GOD.She paid employees $7.00 a day.But they made fair tips.But they'd cut any corner to save money. read more

We stopped in for breakfast on our way to the Jack Daniels Distillery. We were promptly greeted when we came in, as soon as we were seated she had our menus and was ready to take our drink orders. Once she had our orders, it wasn't long until we had breakfast. Everything was delicious and our server was very friendly. If we pass through this way again, we will be stopping here and if we know anyone who will be going that way, we will definitely urge them to stop by. read more

The lightest, fluffiest biscuits you will find, anywhere! Beware, however, that once you have the biscuit here, you will forever be comparing (mostly unfavorably) the other biscuits you find to these. The reference standard, I can't make them better at home. Quaint but friendly, a good ole' small town cafe with a southern flavor. For some reason my previous review was REMOVED?! If I could give this place zero stars I would. This was the single most disgusting breakfast experience I've ever had. Dead plants on the counter and in the sink. Roaches crawling over the table napkins behind the counter. Food tasted horrible, how do you screw up bacon? If you want Southern food, come here, It is a typical 1 meat and 3 sides menu. They also include bread and a dessert. Their pot roast was good. They're also well priced. If you have a hankering for some quick food, this is the place for you. read more

When I'm in town visiting my mother, we often go here for Sunday dinner. A choice of meat and two sides plus dessert and drink for $10. Nothing fancy, but well prepared. These places were a lot more common 30 or 40 years ago. Nice dining room and friendly and efficient servers. I like this place a lot. read more

I have to give these ladies four stars just for service alone. The food was good (3 stars). 3 out of 5 people in our party got the special: salmon patties, which, to be honest were the best I've ever tasted. The matriarch of the group, famous for her salmon patties, admitted their goodness, while her daughter and grandson, admitted they were not as good as hers. I had the chicken and dressing which was unarguably delicious, made even better by the fact that they doubled up on the cranberry sauce which I have often found to be unavailable at a diner except at Thanksgiving. The macaroni and cheese was not what I hoped it would be as it seemed to be mostly some sort of canned cheese sauce or soup. The green beans were canned. The yeast rolls were not homemade but were great. The strawberry shortcake and lemon pie were average while the coconut cake--a light and airy, flavorful morsel--was outstanding. The sweet tea refills were abundant. The atmosphere was that of a hot, aromatic old space in need of paint and some updates. In short, I would go back for the desserts and the service, but if you're looking for true home cooking, you'll have to go elsewhere. read more
