Excited to have a meat and 3 place. They serve brunch-breakfast all day. Counter orders and drinks self service. Friendly family oriented place. My daughter loves Mac n cheese so double Mac cheese it was. Food is great. Probably just a little bit more seasoning needed. But overall excellent place to come.

Southern Spoon has been one of our favorite food trucks for years now and we were always pumped when we found them at an event or a local brewery. We were so excited that they finally got a regular restaurant and we visited in mid Dec. The food and service is just as good as it's always been and that's a great thing. My wife and I both got the shrimp and grits and it was very flavorful and super creamy (and I usually don't care for grits). We've also had their chicken and waffles in the past (my go to as they make sweet potato waffles that are divine), banana pudding, and a beef wellington sandwich, which was amazing. They have all those items on the menu here (except for the welly sandwich) and they may be bringing that one back in the future for a special. We're definitely coming back here any time we want some amazing food!

Having dined at the southern spoon food truck in the past I was excited to try their brick & mortar location for lunch while in the Smyrna area. Nothing beats the "I just paid a massive tax bill" blues like a good lunch, I arrived at 11:20 just ahead of a lunch rush consisting of a group of more than 15 women who seemed to be locals an familiar with the place. I placed my order at the counter took my number & found a table. Within about 10 mins an employee brought my food to my table. I went with the classic club (comes with fries) & a side of Mac & cheese. These were two featured items in other reviews & I wanted to check them out. The club was loaded up with ingredients & very good. I only finished half & took the rest to go. Excellent bread on this. The mac & cheese was good & you can tell they make the cheese sauce from scratch. Just needed a dash of black pepper & it was perfect. The fries were honestly my favorite parts they had Parmesan on them & were perfectly breaded & tasty. No ketchup required. I could have easily eaten a whole plate of those & nothing else. If I'm back in the area I'll come try something else as there were several items on then menu that peaked my interest. Great spot for lunch though!

Once again the Yelp community did me a solid! We found this cute hole in the wall breakfast/ brunch place and it was good! The restaurant is open, clean, and bright. And- it was quiet enough we could converse and not feel drawn into conversations around us. You can tell this is a place made for hanging out and connecting as many around us appeared to be doing. They even had a sitting area and games and lots of seating options. The service was good too - they are friendly and kind. It took us a bit to decide as the menu had a lot of options. We had the butternut squash soup, broccoli, a biscuit, and the breakfast plate with cheese grits (husband said they were delicious), brisket, eggs, and a bagel. Overall very good and we enjoyed our brief visit!

If you haven't been here you are SLEEPING on this place! The food is SO delicious!! The chicken and waffles has soooo much flavor to it, you have to try it! The CYO breakfast sandwich was also good but the chicken and waffles were as the star of the show. As soon as you enter the restaurant they let you know right away what to expect if it's your first time, prompt and friendly service :) There's tons of plants everywhere that gives off a vibe of being right at home for me (we have plants).

Found this little gem on Yelp and stopped in for breakfast. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Cute decor and clean inside. According to my husband and my son, the bathroom was the cleanest they have ever experienced. Food was fresh and delicious. My husband had the chicken and waffles. My son and I both created our own plate and it was all very good.

The best addition to the restaurant scene in some time. The coffees are expertly brewed. Try the almond joy or the honey cinnamon miel. I've tried the club, chicken and waffles, and classic breakfast and you should, too. They even have impossible breakfast sausage

Just tried Southern Spoon on a recommendation from a friend as I preferred locally owned business for out of town company. I was a little hesitant when I learned they had only been open about a month but, boy, I shouldn't have been. The place runs like a well-oiled machine, the food was delicious and the owners were so friendly. I wasn't aware they had a food truck and catering business as well. That explains the efficiency and tasty food. They are pros. We ordered 2 design-your-own breakfast bowls and the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were large and the sauce was so tasty. I'll try an entire order for myself the next time. If I could rate higher than 5, I would!

Very clean and well maintained restaurant. I appreciated the spacious capacity to dine in. Its definitely southern comfort food, and it was so fresh and made to order. I had the iced sweet tea, breakfast sandwich (sourdough bread, egg over-medium, crispy bacon). I then ordered the Nashville Chicken and waffles. Very tasty and satisfying. Staff was incredibly accommodating and nice. Location is great! Easy to find parking in the lot. Food is good value for the $$$. I was glad they served breakfast all day. If an order was incorrect, they were very quick to satisfy the customer. Manager and staff handled call in orders very well (while meeting needs of in-person customers).

Our last meal in Tennessee before heading to the airport at the end of our vacation. We ordered our food at the counter and picked up our utensils (wrapped in a cute bag sealed with a "thank you" sticker) and filled our drink glasses at the self-serve area with iced tea in large dispensers and can sodas organized by flavors on the table (Coke products..YES!). We sat at a table in this very quaint restaurant and a friendly waitress brought us our food. My husband had the shrimp & grits with toast and I had the grilled cheese sandwich with potato salad. My husband couldn't stop talking about his meal. He said it was the best he's had. The grilled cheese sandwich was so super cheesy and rich with flavor. We will definite eat here again when we're back for a visit.

After reading the reviews, Hubby and I decided to try it out. Our Saturday morning usually entails breakfast out and we do try to visit different locations. This place did not disappoint! Limited menu but they have great "create your own" so you can pretty much make what you'd like. Hubby ordered the Chicken and Waffles and I had a Sourdough, egg, bacon and cheese sandwich. Both were quite scrumptious! Prices are very good as well as the service and atmosphere. Give 'em a try!

Food and service were excellent. Staffs were all friendly. We had the chef's special which consist of collard greens, cheese grits, pork belly with a side of sweet potato corn bread. Hot chicken sandwich with Mac/cheese. Kids menu chicken tenders and fries. The food were delicious. We also tried the raspberry and apple mini danish. They were crispy and tasty.

Southern Spoon just opened near me and boy do they not disappoint! They have tasty southern food but also include salad & vegan options, which usually isn't the case. My favorite by far is the Southern Burger made with Wagyu Beef and the truffle fries w the roasted garlic basil mayo! Try out this fabulous menu!!

And when we arrived to the tasty table we discovered that it was closed but the Abbey Pub & Coffee House was still serving food. Let me begin by saying Austin is by far one of the nicest human beings I've ever met and was a staunch champion of the Chef and her expertly curated menu. The Monkey Bread is a the best I've tasted & adds a unique touch by having four sections with different flavors. Herbs & cheese adorn the top of this appetizer & with the garlic & marinara dipping sauces this makes for a starter that the entire table will fight over. So much so we bought an extra batch to go. I ordered the Beer Battered Mahi Mahi with beer battered asparagus & I can honestly say this is the most delectable fish I'd ever tasted. The batter is fried to perfection until it's flaky, golden/brown. The Mahi Mahi is so juicy, which is a hard task because often times restaurants overcook the fish. Not The Abbey...you can tell the chef(s) take pride in each dish. And I've never had fried asparagus & I can honestly say this will be my new go to over fried green beans. The batter gives the asparagus just the right amount of sweetness they need to take a relatively boring veggie to the next level. My mother ordered the Pasta. I'm not a pasta eater but I surprisingly look over my mothers plate. The sauce was so flavorful...savory with a hint of sweet that makes for a boatload of fireworks on your tastebuds. It's quite delicious. My only request would be to the option add a protein like chicken or salmon BUT honestly it doesn't need a thing. Here's a secret...Order the Flybird...it's an amazing take on a margarita...it uses wine instead of tequila. Thank me later. Overall my Abbey experience is easily my new favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro and when I come home to visit my parents this will be my go to spot. I cannot wait to see this gem of a food experience to expand!
