I tried Chez Lama a couple of times at international events and, most recently, at an office catering event. Every time the food makes me happy and the friendly staff help me pick something new. And every time I get fresh food that was made with heart and soul. My favorites are the legume (so satisfying) and plantains, and I always put the spicy pikliz (it's like coleslaw with a real kick) on everything. Amazing! On time, plenty of food, thoughtful, and accommodating! Best of all, it was authentic! That's a quality that's often not found in food nowadays (especially in Haitian cuisine). Chez lama comes to my work place as a fooda vendor and they're so great every time. I hadn't had authentic Caribbean food since visiting Jamaica the first time earlier this year. The pork, red beans and rice and fried plantains are my go-to! The spicy slaw was a great topping too.. spicy! I always get a side (or 2) of plantains to take home with me :) Lamar is so nice as well and we love having them. read more

I ordered the Tasso Lamb. Sounded good on the menu. When it arrived the meat looked like it was the last meat on a buffet table at closing. It looked like dried beef jerky. The lamb was not fresh at all. The read beans and rice. No seasoning whatsoever. The green beans also no seasoning. This whole meal was such a disappointment. Please do not order. I didn't know I could have posted a picture. this sad meal looks nothing like their advertising. Save your money this is beyond sad for the price. read more

Stepped out of my comfort zone today and tried their Haitian food and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the legume entree and the lady that served me recommended that I mix it with the beef dish- and it was very tasty! I also tired their plantains, which I never had before, but thoroughly enjoyed! I was overall very happy with my experience, except it cost $14, which is a pricy for lunch (entree and 2 sides). read more
