Service and food were both above incredible. What they call a sandwich is so big you have to "start" it before you can fold it, and the taste - WOW!! Can hardly wait to go back

Outdoor dining patio - dog and family friendly!

The staff is so friendly and nice here. The outdoor seating is convenient especially for dog people who like bringing their companion with them! It's covered and feels somewhat private which is nice since the area doesn't have the best views if you know what I mean. The chicken shawarma and the gyro bowls are our favorites. The gyro meat is thicker than a lot of other places, making it truly stand out. The pita and hummus is our go to appetizers. Hummus made fresh and is perfect for sharing.

King Tut's is a great gem for casual eats! It is a food truck that is located in a parking lot, so it can be easy to miss. There is a little patio where people can eat their food. The menu is not that extensive, but I feel like it has the core options for popular Middle Eastern dishes. The service was pretty quick since this was a fairly relaxed spot. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma and it was delicious! The pita paired well with the chicken, which was marinated extremely well. I also got a side of seasoned Fries that were good! I added some of the fries into the shawarma and it tasted magical. I would definitely come back here!

Amazing. I wish I thought to take pictures before I ate. But it was delish and I got carried away. The owners are so sweet and the food was amazing. I only wish we hadn't waited so long to visit. Can't wait to go back and try some appetizers. And the lemonade. Not at all what I was expecting. But so good.

I once again tried King Tuts after two months and this time I visited the restaurant. So turns out, King Tuts is a food truck with a small sitting area adjacent to the truck. The place is not very high on decor and has minimal seating options, so getting a take out might seem like a better option. Although the menu isn't very elaborate, it still offers a handful of option in entree and mains. The appetizer with fried eggplant with lemon Tahini and Chermoula came with a side of Lollo Rosso lettuce and crisp pita. At first, I admit being a little disappointed because visually it did not look as great as it sounded in the description of the menu BUT it was very very delicious! Apart from the zesty, nutty and very creamy Tahini, the eggplant were fried and slathered with herby chermoula. The falafel open sandwich is my favorite. The falafels are super crispy but not oily. It comes with the softest thick pita which absorbs the tahini but isn't soggy. It is further generously loaded with fresh & pickled vegetables, feta and lettuce that add both texture and flavor. The raw vegetables were quite fresh as they retained their crunch. The chicken shawarma is also quite nice! The chicken is perfectly cooked until succulent and also well seasoned. What I'd like to highlight is - King Tuts also caters to diners with vegetarian or plant based diet! The portion sizes are sufficient for an individual and the take out package retains the sandwiches as they are, while preventing them from disintegrating. I also took a glimpse of the kitchen and it was quite clean and seemed very hygienic. They also have free parking spaces near the food truck. In all King Tuts is very reasonable and offers great food, it is a must try!

Featured on Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives, this casual food truck offers authentic Egyptian food. The service was speedy. It was a hot day, and the staff encouraged me to wait inside their air conditioned dining room adjacent to the food truck for my to-go order. The ambiance is nothing too fancy, but the food was delicious and presented pleasantly. I orders the falafel sandwich, and I was surprised at how fresh the vegetable toppings were. I will definitely be back!

Food is scrumptious. Whenever I'm in town this place is a must. Great ambiance and many options for sitting (indoor & back patio). Owner is so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend coming out and trying amazing food. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but they have options for those who are. I promise it won't disappoint.

This is the perfect place if you're looking for tasty, authentic Egyptian food with a family-run vibe to it. The food was really good! Went with the Kofta (beef and lamb) Bowl, Chicken Shawarma Sandwich with a side of hummus and pharaoh fries. So yummy! and the portion sizes were appropriate. I asked for the hot sauce and it gave the right amount of kick. Try the Mint Lemonade it's SO fresh! Service absolutely was the highlight, the moment you step inside they treat you like you walked into their home and will do everything to ensure you're taken care. Loved visiting and can't wait to return to try something else on the menu.

Easily the best Mediterranean in the entire state of Tennessee. Do not hesitate to eat everything you can get your mouth on here - but check the hours first as they do take a midday siesta and are typically closed on Sundays (for now at least). Wildly delicious and perfectly-executed Falafel. Intensely crunchy and wholesome on the outside, and fluffy (not mushy at all) on the inside! If need be, I'm confident these Falafel would survive a 30-min DoorDash ride no problem. Remember to ask for the homemade hot sauce. The Mezze platter presentation is fantastic (a long, oblong tray with all of the components beautifully laid out laterally) and is totally inspired. This is a menu item that not only provides a good value, but a memorable dining experience. From the crudité-style eggplant to the oven toasted pita, flanked by tasty & tangy pickled veggies and seasoned with sumac and za'atar spice - to replicate this at home would be one very long session in the kitchen. I say leave it to King Tuts! And I love what they have done with the patio space. The generous array of electric fans blowing from all directions is very practical with regards to effectively shooing away any flies and biting insects that tend to plague virtually all Nashville restaurant patios during the summer months. I love this - countless other Nashville restauranteurs could learn a thing or three from King Tuts! If I heard this correctly from the owner, on Fridays & Saturdays King Tuts is BYOB. Not sure why just Fri & Sat, but sounds good to me. When we were there on a Thursday for lunch, all they had beverage-wise were iced down coolers of Coca-Cola products and bottled water.

Loved the vibes here. You order from the truck and then proceed to the outdoor dining area on an adjacent porch that has plants and nice table seating. The business is family owned! I think the wife (?) of the chef took our order and was super friendly. The highlight of this wonderful experience was definitely the food though. We got the Royal platter which had all three protein (falafel, gyro, chicken) options + veggies + veggies. Phenomenal. So well spiced and flavorful. I had half of it for leftovers the next day, and it was still amazing microwaved. Cannot recommend this place enough!

There couldn't possibly be a hidden gem in Nashville that is more hidden than King Tut's. The South Nashville area is brimming with a thriving immigrant population, and foodies reap the benefits of this with countless international restaurants. And the only way to find the jewels - like King Tut's - amongst a sea of great eateries is for us Yelpers to sniff them out and sing their praises on this platform. Not only is there stiff competition in this part of town, but King Tut's is completely hidden in a food truck parked at the back of a plaza that doesn't even have a name. It's literally hiding, but we found it for you and it is certainly a "must eat" in Music City! The chicken shawarma sandwich is amazing! The slow-grilled chicken is plentiful amidst lettuce, fresh-cut tomatoes and cucumbers, red onions and even tasty bits of cilantro all topped with seasoned fries. This rich bounty sits atop pita bread so wonderful it must be made on site and not store bought. The chicken itself is pretty good, and the fries are pretty tasty. But eat some of the sandwich to reduce it by about 25% and it becomes a foldable masterpiece. You bring that pita bread together, with the fries inside, and the orange sauce from the spicy marinated chicken blends with the neutrality of the white yogurt sauce to create magic! The flavors are beautiful! The falafel sandwich is also delicious, with six deep-fried fritters on a bed of fresh ingredients similar to the chicken sandwich, and even some pickled veggies as well. In 2022, hours are now 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (which haven't been updated on Yelp yet, but I've tried twice). Look for King Tut's on the east side of Nolensville Road just south of the Orkin sign at the back of the strip mall across from Quality Cars. It's amazing!

I also wanted to dispel a lot of what people are saying, I deliver for uber eats and I got a pickup from here, so it in fact isn't the employees delivering the food, its legit uber eats and door dash etc. They have a big shelf for delivery drivers and I witnessed several drivers come in and collect orders. Saying that I walked in and it was dead quiet. The decor was nice, like someone actually spent time to decorate the place in an Egyptian theme. Finally was acknowledged after a few minutes and asked if I could sit inside and eat inside. The guy said I could. Gave me a menu and seated me. I ordered the kofta plate. with a water. About 15 minutes later a second guy gets a water bottle out of the cooler and places it down. (I later found out, he said because of covid, they can't have fountain drinks and also no silverware but disposable silverware.) I was the only person eating in there and the only other people I saw were to go orders and delivery drivers. The food took a semi long time to come out. About 25 minutes. The price was very good. The food was fresh I could tell. One complaint I have was the koftas were dry and charred. I am used to tender koftas. These had some crunch to them. I used the cucumber sauce to soften them up. Another complaint I would say is, the rice was bland, I would have loved for some hot sauce or maybe some Sumac to put on the whole dish. I doused the entire thing with the two ramekins of cucumber sauce, and it really improved the flavor. Staff were nice and the food was freshly made to order, so no problems there. Just -the wait times and the kofta doneness was the only real issue. Also the menu said "one pound of beef" which, when I first read it, gave me pause and I thought to myself "I can't eat one pound of beef" and when it came out it was more like 1/4 pound. Speaking of pounds - they had a promotional poster at the entrance and it was advertising specials in GBP and not USD lol I hated to see all these people complaining on here about this place when it was third party delivery drivers and not the fault of the restaurant. I wanted to see for myself. I do vote this place higher than the other local spot called Sam's Kabob Gyro.

I can't speak to the authenticity of the Turkish cuisine here, but I can speak to the food quality. Starting off is a beautiful focaccia loaf with a mix of light spices and olive oil. It's odd to say bread is relaxing and refreshing but here it is. The hummus is quite the same, lightly spiced but bright and refreshing. The ezme is interesting. To me it resembles a Turkish version of chips and salsa, very tomato forward but lightly spiced. Only complaint of the meal for me was the lamb kabobs. I am notorious for over seasoning things, and that is simply how my palette is. The lamb was cooked perfectly, not dried out and moist, however I would've liked a little more seasoning. The Billur kabob has been a repeat favorite of mine over the years. The combination of sautéed eggplant, pashamal sauce and onions/peppers/mushrooms creates an explosion of varying textures and tastes. Everything sort of melds together perfectly once it's cooked on the stone oven and becomes a cohesive entree better than the sum of its parts. The servers are always very attentive, respectful and knowledgeable about the menu. When I first started coming here they always had fantastic recommendations.
