I was not expecting to enjoy a sandwich as much as I did this one!! My husband and I both ordered Turkey Rachel's on Sourdough instead of Rye and they were incredible!!! It's located in a very cool building and the vibe is relaxed. Friendly service, and good food... what else can you ask for?!

We seem to make our way to this deli every time we visit Nashville. Went with the SEC this time. It'll feed two humans or half a Vol linebacker. And it's delish! Family owned and operated. These are hard working folks who churn out consistently great food every day. Go local. Pay cash. Leave a tip.

I don't usually write reviews but this deli was AMAZING. The staff was so sweet!! My friend has a dairy allergy and they made every accommodation for her! The food was DELICIOUS and fresh! Would definitely recommend!!

Enjoyed this spot in the midst of all the shops in this area. Was a nice treat to get sandwiches and snacks that were good. Staff was nice and snappy on orders and getting the food out. Solid 3.75/5.

Made a stop here when we went to Marathon Village to visit Corsair. Figured it a good idea to put some food in before the drinking! Well this turned out to be an excellent stop. Staff was super friendly. I had a french dip that was su full it was hard to dip without losing pieces. Very tasty too. My wife had their signature. Club, and could only eat half of it. Looked like they were using Boars Head meats, that explains some of the quality. No fountain drinks here, just a selection of glass bottle "old timey" sodas. Not the cheapest meal, I think around $30 for two sandwiches and two drinks, but very good.

Was in the area visiting some distilleries and decided to stop by Southern Engine Deli with my boyfriend after seeing all the great reviews. I ordered a half turkey sandwich with gluten-free bread. The sandwich was nicely made and went along perfectly with the toppings. My boyfriend got a pastrami sandwich and he enjoyed it as well. The only issue was that the ladies at the counter ended up toasting my bread but not his so his sandwich was a bit cold. Service was super nice though. Would definitely recommend everyone to pay a visit if you are in the area.

Not my first choice, but never a bad choice. I ordered the Turkey Rachel, which was very delicious, but VERY messy!

Then I had another couple, one as is, one subbing mezcal for tequila. Both great. As I has sat there looking at their selection of spirits I wondered if they had the ingredients to make my favorite tiki cocktail. I asked, Alex delivered. It had been six years since I had that cocktail and, while not having 100% of the ingredients, it was so damn close that it took me right back to the where and when I last drank it. Now that I know they can make it, I will be returning on a regular basis. This is a great dark and intimate location to bring a date or come solo. The bartenders and server were pleasant and drinks came up relatively quick. It is on the pricier side but that's the price you pay for a unique experience. One thing that I really didn't like is that our server didn't mention that auto gratuity (20%) is included on the bill. I always tip 20%+ even for mediocre service BUT I fully believe that when there is auto gratuity you should tell the patron or you're being a bit deceptive. We all added 20%+ on top of the existing 20% already and then had to adjust it when one of my friends thought her total was a bit high and pointed out the added gratuity. Not a good look or practice in my opinion.

The dog bowl looked a little more rugged than I recalled and I sat about looking for the picture of my friend (and possibly me) that was on the wall.
