Proper name for this pig sty. Customers service terrible, Food was okay and fries don't come with the burger so look to pay for a side. Happens. The bartender was making a lady an alcoholic drink in a big water bottle, that she brought into the bar with her. Unsanitary. We got our drinks immediately from one bartender but she left. Absolutely the WORST FOOD I've had in years. Like, amazingly BAD FOOD. Everything ridiculously salty. Everything ridiculously undercooked. Ribs: Chewy, underdone, under-seasoned, over-salted. Rib tips: Chewy, underdone, under-seasoned, over-salted, tiny portion Greens: Salty to the point of being inedible Cornbread: Too sweet, mushy, not buttery, not good Peach "cobbler": This is canned peaches mixed with old cornbread and dusted with cinnamon. HORRIBLE. Pork belly: Lookit, you have to COOK pork belly. This is chunks of pork fat ... the end. They were also the ONLY meat item with more than a half teaspoon of barbeque sauce (which doesn't taste like ANYTHING anyway, so I guess we didn't miss much). Seriously, I cannot understand how this restaurant is open and serving food like this. Just terrible. I am reading these good reviews with a look of absolute bewilderment on my face. I've been here twice, and both times so far have been excellent. I ordered the seafood combo, and it was some of the best seafood I've ever had. The catfish nuggets had a nice hint of lemon, and the shrimp were nice and big. The waiter was very polite and personable. She made us feel welcome even filled our glasses with ice. Food came very quickly. Shrimp portions very hearty and tasty. 1/2 slab of ribs seem lite for the price. I also tried the banana pudding-my granddaughter lived it. I decided to dine in the restaurant to observe karaoke. Since the restaurant was not very busy/full, seems like service would have been a bit more attentive, but there was only one waitress servicing the dining area and two others servicing only the three men at the bar. Well l didn't take long to write this review. So last night l came out to listen to some House music and chill. So l ordered half pound of tips and a shot of Remy Martin. So when my food came out superfast l have to say. I didn't have time to finish my drink. So l said I'll just eat here. When l opened my food l was like REALLY 5 pieces of rib tips so l came to the counter to ask the lady that took my order. She said l seen them weigh it out. I said 5 tips not 8oz. I had more fries than meat. Ownership l know this is a black owner venue. Please be more considerate of the food that you provide. I went to Yorkys in Elmhurst and got a pork chop dinner for less and it was WAY more than what u offer. I will not come here EVER again. read more

My second time there at Piggy's BBQ. I went on 1-03-25 for dinner. I waited awhile before I received any service. I ordered Turkey tips (which was shaved meat not tips) and Hot Link combo. The hot link was not done all the way They barely give you any sauce so I ordered an extra one for $1.00. They put more fries than meat..The atmosphere is where you can sit down or takeout..I did takeout..Usually, I check my food before leaving but we were in a hurry. We got the Friday fish fry special. Everything was great. The atmosphere, employees , and food were all fabulous.

This was my second trip and my last. Midday at Piggy's, my rib tips were very disappointing. They were days old, tiny, very hard dry and dark, and the meat was reheated. Pork is supposed to be a beige color. I even had tips the next 2 days from Heckys at 12:30 pm on a Fri and they were A+. Since the 70's, I know rib tips, good or bad, whether it's from Lems, I-57, Alice's, Coleman's or Carson's, but Hecky's is the best and Piggy's, never again until they do better and stop selling customers old rib tips, because we know. People, go where you can see the grill and not a smoker. read more

Food was great. Getting to that point was another story . Ordered online. I show the the guy (owner) was confused. He kept looking in the heater box thinking it was my order. Finally , a customer shows up for pickup and it was his order. After he leaves, the owner get confused again , asking about my order. Finally he looks on the Queue and sees my order. He says oh oh, why didnt it print out? Then he says it will be a few minutes. I wait like 10 min and it finally comes up. No apology for the delay. No comp. Not even a thank you. Dissapointed. My wife saw an add for Piggy's on Facebook. We never heard of them before but decided to give them a try. In our experience with bbq restaurants in this area it's usually hit or miss with misses in the winner's circle. This one was definitely a miss for us. The place is clean but it does give you an upgraded hole in the wall vibe with an outdoor seating area. They also have a DJ booth to entertain the dance crowd on weekend nights. Nothing against hole in the wall places because I've had some of my best times in them. But we did not have our best time with the food. The service and the friendliness of the staff was on point. We ordered the rib tips and hot link combos to go, which come with fries and sauce. We got the mild sauce and a side of mixed greens. I got the sauce on the side so I could taste the food without the sauce. IMO if your bbq looks great and tastes great without the sauce you're doing something right. Upon opening the styrofoam box, after my short ride home, my first impression was why did I waste my money. I'm expecting hot meats with a nice bark, smoke rings and smokey aromas. All I saw was bland looking meat sitting on top of a slice of white bread. The rib tips tasted like they may have been boiled and put in an oven with liquid smoke to give them a hint of smoked flavor. They were chewy with no bark whatsoever. I have to admit the seasoning was ok though. The hot links also had no char or grill marks. The casing had no snap as if the links were steamed or boiled. The texture was like biting into potted Vienna sausages from a can. They did have some heat to them though to give your mouth and lips a tingle. The sauce could not save them. Fries were not crispy and taste old. The mixed greens taste like canned or bagged glory greens that were doctored up with smoked turkey. Seasoning wasn't bad but the greens contained the stems which makes you think someone didn't take the time to remove them. To me there's a lack of passion in the preparation and presentation of their food. IMO the owners are cutting corners to rush a product out that is mediocre at best! You can't afford to neglect the details that produce quality food and expect to be successful! Especially, with bbq. There are remedies that can be easily implemented. I hope they do for the sake of the business. But until then, I can't return or recommend anyone to come here. read more

I've been wanting to go here since I first saw it in the same strip mall as one of my other favorite places to eat, Smiley's Gyros. My wife and I stopped by for lunch today and were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable man. Might have been the owner. Not for sure, but he was very friendly. That was a great start. The inside is very nice and clean when you order. Menu boards are digital and very easy to read. We both went with the $8 lunch special that runs from 11am to 3pm. You get a pulled pork sandwich, fries and a drink for $8. Great deal. We both had the cole slaw on our sandwiches and the sauce comes on the side. I had the spicy sauce and my wife had the mild. It was good size sandwich and very tasty! Good fries too! Spicy sauce was ok, but not that spicy like I am used to. I will try one of their other sauces next time. They have about 3-4 to choose from. I ordered a small rib tip, hot link and a side of Mac and cheese....The Mac and cheese was the star of the show! I'm very picky about Mac and cheese because most places don't season it well or use good cheese. This Mac and cheese was pretty tasty! The hot link was good but there mild sauce could use some help. Gave this place a 2nd chance; the first visit was back when they were next to Smileys. Quickly returned for 3rd and 4th chances. Turkey tips were delicious, pulled pork, wings and catfish are also worth trying. Didn't care for the peach cobbler, but the banana pudding more than made up for it. Visiting my mom in Naperville today 2/ 21/2025 and she asked me to bring rib tips from Chicago. I stopped by Alice's bbq but the line was out the door (per usual)! Went to Piggy's, and it was EMPTY, I actually waited for 15 minutes before someone came to the front to take my order! Got rib tips/ link combo and the rib tip/ smoked wings combo,took it to her and we were both FLABBERGASTED!! NOT CHICAGO STYLE BBQ , you will NOT see or smell a smokestack or live grilling!! I have never been so disappointed at a bbq restaurant as I was today! The wings were not whole wings they were a drum and two flats, 6 rib tips! The hot link was some kind of other sausage not a real hot link and the tips were ok nothing to rave over, no smoke flavor everything was BLAH! I'm giving 2 stars because the vibe was nice. It's a cool lounge club at night that me and my co-workers went to. However, me and one of my friends ordered ribs, macaroni, fries, and a sausage link. The macaroni was decent, the fries were good. The ribs were tough and the sausage was just nasty. I wouldn't eat here again but I would chill here again. I stumbled upon this place one night that I was home relaxing and too lazy to get out and get food. I had a taste for some chicken wings and they offered food delivery. The food was economical and most importantly delicious! Because of this wonderful experience, I ordered a 2nd time. I don't see restaurants offer rib tips often so I was excited. They were so tender and yummy; seasoned to perfection! I hosted a house warming party and I didn't trust my husband or myself to grill the meat lol So I decided to cater. I couldn't be more pleased with how the meat came out. Our guests loved the baby back ribs, rib tips and pulled chicken. You know the food is good when people ask for to-go plates ha ha. The meat paired perfectly with the side dishes that I made (mac & cheese, pasta salad and baked beans). They gave me an array of sauces to offer our guests from mild to spicy and a mustard sauce for the pulled chicken. The service was outstanding as well from taking my order to when I went to pick it up. Timely, easy to work with and prompt. I was really amazed here. I ordered 1/2 slab of St. Louis ribs along with Mac n cheese and Moo and Oink hot link. It was all really good. Rib's fell right off the bone. Their spicy bbq sauce was spicy but not too spicy to turn you off. Their regular bbq sauce was exactly the same just no spice to it. Both were really tasty. Their Mac n cheese. Soooooo creamy and very good. I got the pork hot link and I was really looking for it to be super spicy almost like an andouille sausage but it wasn't. Just enough spice to make the tongue and lips tingle. Their hot links aren't charred or grilled. The casing was easy enough to cut with a fork so I'm assuming their links are steamed. I would love to see piggy's flourish. They have something good here. The location is set back off of Rt. 59 so they're easy to miss as you traverse the yuppy 500. There isn't a sign and if they had some signage they could really drive in some clientele. Give them a try. I'm glad I did. read more
