Pietro's 'Delicious baked meat lasagna'

Don't order the "lasagna", mine was Just Spaghetti sauce poured over ONE small noodle and drowning in an inch of greasy cheese. My Family has grown up with Pietro's in Hood River and have witnessed the decline over the decades, and just like everyone else that has gone cooperate they have gone with cheaper food and charge higher prices. I am 58 and my early memories of this place are wonderful, but it is barely recognizable now.

Hands down, best pizza. They know what they're doing. The crust is perfection. So good every time. I grew up taking many trips out to hood river and every visit we would come. We also go to the Milwaukee locations all the time. Lots of great options. If you can handle the noisy dining room, you'll have a great pizza. The service is always great.

Lots of options for the salad bar

As our first time at this pizza palace we were not disappointed! It was so fun for us and the kids. It's a huge building with ample seating, game room for kids to run off to, and old time salad bar that is literally numerous trip all you can eat. We ordered a large half little Italy/great northwest! Delicious!!! Crust is thin to normal. One of the best pizzas I've had. The kids loved it and they stayed entertained! If we lived closer this is definitely a place I'd throw a childrens birthday party! The kids won lots of tickets and had many prize choices to pick from. Lots of parking which is hard to come by in downtown Hood River. The staff was very nice! Service was fast. We can't wait to go back

the mold on the ice machine

there was mold in the ice machine and when we asked the lady working if we could just get bottled instead she got loud and said it was probably just pepper and that it gets clean everyday.

Medium original crust pizza (8 slices) 1/2 Little Italy, 1/2 Hula Loola with white sauce instead of red

Pepperoni pizza had very little flavor, very disappointed. We ordered it with extra sauce and cheese.

The place seems to be stuck in the 2000's. I did use to love this place but not having unlimited salad anymore kills it for me.

The pizza is fantastic! The staff were very friendly. The arcade needs more staff but overall a very good experience.

We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!

I got takeout pizza and it was ok, nothing special. Service was a bit lacking…read more I got the Papa Rex (large $30) which has tomato, mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, salami, bell pepper, olive, red onion, mushroom. The pizza was pretty doughy and flimsy on the bottom. Toppings were average. I picked this pizza because it was the most normal on the menu. I'm all for interesting, unusual pizzas, but none of the other ones on their menu appealed to me. They are weird, but not my taste. It took awhile to make the pizza; they told me 20 minutes on the phone and it was more like 30. It turns out this was because they had to remake it. According the guy working there, their oven has a weird spot in it and created a hole in part of the pizza. They remade it, and it came out the same way; you can see the hole in the in the bottom right of the photo, under some toppings. They offered to remake it a third time, but I didn't want to wait any longer and I doubted it would turn out differently. They didn't offer me the first version of the pizza or a discount for the hole or the extra wait time.

Bad start but we decided to go for it (I planned this stop because they had good looking food and cocktails for the non wine drinkers). There were maybe 4 tables occupied, so I was surprised it would take "a long while". One person from my party went directly to the restroom so didn't hear what was said, when he came out he went to the bar and asked if he could order a flight which he received a strict "no it's going to be a long while" Lol I understand being overwhelmed or whatever, we're human, but to have the attitude was unnecessary. We left after a few minutes and spent $400 at another winery down the road. Which by the way was much busier but because they were kind we stuck it out, our server made a good chunk on tips too. Too bad

Fun partying with friends. Very cool that vineyard owners Tess Barr sang (voice like Dixie Chicks Natalie Maines) and husband played a mean maniacal harmonica. They rocked! Have to go back to just get into the wine and spirits more sometime to enjoy the outdoor vine in view of vineyard with a Mount Hood back drop. Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us.
