So that we would just be around the corner and popping in here would be easy during our stay. Luckily I was able to come in on two different days, and at different times! We got both the night life experience and the day time experience. I think I preferred the day time because it wasn't as busy. Night means cover charge ($4) and bag check. And no kids. You might see some kids during the day. What a cool place, with yummy drinks (no food), and all my favorite arcade games, and then some! They operate on a card system, so no coins needed when you visit. My pinball wizard friend had been traveling arcade ready with coins in her bag, but it turns out they weren't needed. Ground Kontrol supplies free lockers to store your stuff; just follow the instructions and don't forget your code. I learned a lot about pinball during my visits here, and played more pinball than I usually do because of that. I mean, why not? I played one of the newest pinball games, released within weeks of my visit, which was Pokemon themed, and I played one of the more vintage pinball machines, Xenon. And everything in between! It was awesome. $20 loaded onto a card will get you 15ish games, but there is a different cost depending on which game you're playing. I was satisfied with the value and would, and did! come back again. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area! Make sure to check out the whole place, as it's bigger than you think and there are more games (mostly pinball) upstairs.

A little smaller than I was expecting. The place is really cool tho…read more It seems like majority of the games were pinball machines or old school classic arcade games. There's a parking lot right across the street for easy parking. I didn't try any food or drinks from the bar this time around but the staff at the entrance were nice and friendly. Overall, this place was a bit underwhelming but if you're into drinking and pinball machines, this is the place! I just wish they had a little more variety with their games.

For just $23/day with in-and-out privileges, you can play unlimited games to your heart's content. With over 690 games and growing, wall-to-wall memorabilia and signed photos, and everything from childhood classics to newer titles -- they've got it all. And if you're a pinball wizard, this is absolutely your place. Hours are 10am to 9pm with plenty of parking. Getting hungry mid-session? No problem. You can bring your own food or grab something from their outdoor food carts -- hot dogs, pizza, you name it. There are also restaurants nearby, and with in-and-out privileges, you'll definitely want to take a break and refuel before diving back in. They even have a party room available for birthday parties or corporate events. And don't overlook the bathrooms -- yes, the bathrooms -- because the memorabilia continues in there too! Fair warning: I was so obsessed that I played all day long... and woke up the next morning with seriously sore hands. Totally worth it. Pro tip -- bring a friend or partner, because the two-player games are even more fun, and some games like Mario Kart let you race four or more players at once. I still can't believe they had all my favorites from the 1980s: Pac-Man, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros., Joust, Star Wars, BurgerTime, Rampage, Moon Patrol -- and so much more. Also, make sure to sign up for their club -- members get in for $20 on Thursdays, and your 10th visit is completely free. I'd give this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could. It's one of the most amazing arcades I've ever been to, and you absolutely will not regret going.

We ended up staying way longer than planned because it's just that fun -- grabbing drinks, watching people battle it out on the big screens, and soaking in the atmosphere. It's not your typical bar where everyone just stands around. There's always something going on and the vibe is super welcoming and energetic and the owners are so cool! If you love retro games, colorful arcade energy, and good drinks, Vault 31 is an absolute gem.

I understand working customer service can be soul crushing,…read moreespecially with the verbal abuse a lot of people experience, but the staff here have no problems taking it out on its customers unprovoked. The atmosphere and theme is really cool, so it's a shame how the owner treats people. We were prepared to reserve a table for a birthday hangout, but their website stated they no longer do reservations. Which is fine, we were prepared to change plans if it didn't work out. 4 of us arrived just before max capacity was reached, and it was admittedly pretty busy. However, 2 members of our group were running a bit behind, and arrived after the bar had put up a "capacity reached" sign. Since we made sure to get a big table, and we still had a couple of empty seats, we asked if it would be okay for our friends to join us when they finally arrived. They said this would not be possible. When our friends finally did arrive, the bar had cleared out considerably (under half of the tables were being used). Our friends approached the counter and asked if it was okay for them to join us since it was a lot emptier now. They were told they were not welcome, and that we should have reserved a table if we wanted to guarantee a spot for everyone. When we told them we had tried to reserve a table beforehand, but they no longer do reservations, the owner admitted this was correct (and that he had lied to our faces). We asked how long our friends would need to wait, and we were told it would likely be hours before they could reassess capacity (mind you, it had cleared out considerably since we had arrived, and no one was even at the bar ordering drinks). I think they just wanted us to leave, because the owner also accused one of our group members of being "abrasive" to the staff earlier in the night. All of us are mild mannered people pleasers, who have always tipped well and treated the staff with respect every time we've visited. We were not going about this interaction expecting special accomodations, or going in with an entitled attitude by expecting them to let our friends in. We were respectful, didn't express annoyance at the situation, or try to be difficult in any way, and were fully prepared to go elsewhere if things didn't work out. Nothing we did warranted the hostile treatment the owner was giving us, so it was really off-putting to treated in such a way. We left pretty shortly after this, and even went up and apologized to the owner in case we had made their night more difficult, and were met with the same snarky, hostile attitude from earlier. If you look at the way the owner responds to other negative Google reviews, it will kind of give you an idea of how we were treated. I don't know if we just caught them on a bad night, or what, but I hope they figure out whatever it is they have going on in their lives.

Instead of making us feel welcome, she actively discouraged us from ordering food by repeatedly saying the wait would be very long. When we asked for her name, she refused to provide it, which immediately felt unprofessional and concerning.(goth looking girl with mini bangs and no eyebrows) Things escalated when the bartender refused to serve my friend, claiming he "looked drunk," even though he had not consumed a single drop of alcohol and had only ordered food. This was humiliating and completely unjustified. What made the experience truly disturbing was that as we were leaving, the same server followed us to the bar across the street and told them not to serve us. We were treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. I felt degraded, embarrassed, and shocked that staff would behave this way. I was genuinely excited to try this place for the first time, but the way we were treated was disappointing and disgusting.
