This place was crazy good fun! My husband and I were the oldest patrons there, but that did not deter us! Lots of families and young couples. We did the glow in the dark putt putt golf, 13 holes and it was so much fun! It took about 45 minutes to go through the course. Adult beverages are available as well as soft drinks and snacks. They also have escape rooms that looked really fun and exciting. Also a separate room for ax throwing if you really want to get your regressions out it looked like this was the place to do it! Located in Portland, it is downstairs from street level. You will see a pirate statue outside on the street. Park in that garage, it was only $3 for the hour and a half we were there. The parking garage elevator takes you right inside. It's a really fun pirate and ocean theme. Lots of props and figures decorate the course. The holes are a little harder for younger kids but fun for adults. They do a good job cramming in the 12 holes with the tight space. There is also axe throwing which we might try next time. Staff was helpful and friendly! Suggest making a reservation online especially on the weekends. They are timed slots. ***it would be nice if there was a waiter walking around taking drink orders. Very fun mini golfing experience! The decorations are top-notch from the moving objects to the colorful murals. There are 13 holes which are pretty easy to get through. They provide you with a putter, golf ball, and score sheet. If you come in a big group, you'll be split into smaller groups. while we were here, we did both the mini golf and the escape room. we stayed in portland for only 5 days and ended up spending two of our evenings here. the mini golf was really well decorated and fun. the staff cleaned our golf clubs before giving them to us (we didnt ask) which made me feel a lot better about how many people have probably touched them. the staff was so friendly every time we talked to one of them and were generally just pleasant to talk to. i feel like i could have made friends with any of them. the escape room was a lot of fun with puzzles that were tricky but not too difficult. we didn't end up finishing it, but we got very close. i would recommend doing this with more than two people. i do have to mention that there are a lot of sudden noises and there are some parts of the room that were a bit scary- not scared for my life but definitely startled. they didn't warn about these but they were very cautious about making sure we were okay with flashing lights and small confined spaces. i wouldnt bring anyone younger than 13 to this room. overall a wonderful experience and a great place to spend an evening (or two) read more

I know when you see the name of this place you automatically think of putt-putt. But it is so much more than miniature golf. I think you should know this just by passing the knight that guards the door on the street. I was actually kind of excited by this, with it being so close to where I was staying and the fact that it is basically connected to another hotel in downtown. However, I didn't come here for some indoor greens, I came here for the escape room. Booking the room was easy, went online earlier in the day and secured the room for the number of people that were going to show up. We all gathered before our start time and heading inside. We were greeted at the desk and told that it was going to be a few more minutes until the room would be ready. They had to reset it from the group that was ahead of us. While we waited we sat in the tabled area right off the escape room area. From here you get a good view of all this place has to offer. The golf course is what you would expect, dark, glow in the dark paint, black lights. There is also axe throwing in here as well, but again, we didn't come for that. Once we entered the room we did the rundown of the rules, backstory of the room, and everything else they cover before you start. Once we went through all that we were sent on our way to figure out our escape. The room was really well put together. The story held for the room, the puzzles were tough, but not too tough, and they were correct that you shouldn't be afraid of tight spaces. See, there are multiple areas within the room that will put you in a tight spot. If you don't have a good group together, this can be a spot of contention. Especially with the one area where it will make you all be in one area at once until you figure out the clue to get out of that space. My group worked together and we did manage to escape. I don't think that we even used a clue while in here. I believe we were the fastest that day to escape this room. read more

Axe throwing was a ton of fun, the axe master got us started pretty quick and gave us some more toys like ninja stars after we got the hang of things. The minigolf was alright, the courses themselves left a bit to be desired (not a lot of variety or interesting gimmicks after the first few holes) but the ambiance and decor is the main draw here. The whole place is decked out like a neon blacklit pirate's village/pirate cove/shipwreck that looks super cool. Honestly just making our way through the space and looking at the scenery was more fun than the golf itself. The staff were all really pleasant and informative. We had tried mini golf here many years ago. Tried again recently and realized that they need reservations now, which get pretty booked up on weekends. It was fairly quick to do that. We had a blast at glowing greens! We had some friends visiting from out of town and decided to reserve a 4 pm slot. Parking is a breeze as it has an elevator inside directly to the parking structure. We arrived right at 4 and the person at the counter was so friendly, welcoming us so warmly. We ordered our drinks from the same counter and the selection is rather impressive! They had much more to choose from than I was expecting. My partner got a beer and I enjoyed a cider. We had a blast once we hit the course and thoroughly enjoyed the glowing aspects! It took us about an hour with a group of 4. The person at the counter suggested 3D glasses for the course and I could absolutely see why!! I imagine it would have been even cooler, we def regretted not getting them. We have already talked about making plans to go back for the ax throwing and escape rooms. Both activities look SO fun! Way over priced for mini golf. The staff members who checked us in were obviously annoyed that we were coming in 1hr till closing time. He was rude and told us to be more considerate next time. There was a staff member right on our heels the whole time so that they could clean after we finished the hole. We had about 2 holes left when they started vacuuming the course. Keep in mind there was about 30min to closing time. Outside of that, the theme decors were nice but the holes themselves were boring and uncreative. This is the last activity boyfriend and I did during our time in Portland before we headed to the airport. This was a great way to end our time in Portland! We came here for Wicked Axe, even though mini golf seems to be a huge draw here. All the sets and props and lighting created a very fun atmosphere. On the day we came, we were the only ones who came for axe throwing. We had a supervisor who reviewed axe throwing safety with us, and watched us from a stand as we took turns throwing axes. He was really great with giving pointers on how I could improve my throws and aims too. I've been at another axe-throwing place before, and was very very frustrated, and really appreciate that since it was just me and my boyfriend as opposed to a group of friends, we both got a lot of axe-throwing practice. My boyfriend also took plenty of videos and photos of me throwing the axes. We had a great one hour here before taking off for the airport and heading home. read more

Went on a day date to this fun place! Prices were a bit steep, but I can understand the cost for the experience. We did the black light mini golf and an escape room. The mini golf was super fun. Each hole was unique and not too difficult. We did the Hotel themed escape room. I loved the special effects and different rooms we had to open. The difficulty level was spot on for us. We came in hopes of doing the escape room, but we didn't have a reservation and it was fully booked so we did axe throwing. The guy who helped us at the front desk was really nice and even gave us a discount card for 10% off if we decide to come back for the escape room since we didn't get to do it this time. We did the axe throwing for 30 minutes for $30. We've gone axe throwing before and It seemed kinda pricey, but it was well worth it. They gave us three different weapons: the regular axe, a double sided axe and throwing stars (my personal fav). This experience made the price well worth it because most places only offer the axe. This place is underground and right beside a parking garage. They have a bar area that serves drinks but they do not sell food. You can order foods through a delivery app. It costs about $12 for 13 holes. The place is decorated to perfection. They also have an ax throwing cage down here. We had a party of 4 doing the escape room it was our first time and we were so excited! Hotel no vacancy is the room we booked, everything was going great until we got in a room with a door malfunctioning. The person being the game master paused our game after we had tried to correct code multiple times and the door wouldn't open. Then he told us to slide the door (it was a barn door style with a slide) it was obviously not correctly on the tracks when we started anyhow it came off the track and a person from our group reset it quickly. They made us exit before the end of our time and we were almost to the end. Then had us sit in a waiting area well they checked into things and acted like we damaged their room. Once they checked the door and it was fine they let us got to go back in with two minutes in the last room, it was a major bummer and after being treated poorly none of were really into it anymore and were ready to leave. A total let down for my first escape room experience. The staff was rude to us after we were told to slide to door it wasn't our fault it came off the track. No one apologized for treating us poorly, it's my birthday trip and I'm super bummed. We planned on going back and trying the other escape room as well as some of the other activities they had to offer but I will not give them one more penny after this experience. read more

Never thought I'd get to play glow-in-the-dark mini golf in downtown Portland! My boyfriend and I had time on our hands between some touristing activities and were pleasantly surprised by this conveniently located putt putt joint. We got lucky with parking and found a spot just a few blocks away, too. If you're a Pirates of the Caribbean nut like me, you'll definitely appreciate the deep sea, pirate-themed decors of Glowing Greens. The owners had recently remodeled the place so everything was super fresh! Unfortunately, our excitement quickly tapered down once we got on the course. As awesome as the glowing sharks, skeletons, and treasures were, there wasn't enough emphasis on game play and the holes turned out to be way simple and redundant-- so much that we played too quickly and wound up waiting around after catching up to the two parties that started before us. Despite how cool the dark room was, we also had a hard time seeing where the starting points were and how the holes actually worked. We get weirdly competitive about mini golf and I believe this was what led to my ultimate defeat... In the end, we still had a pretty fun time at Glowing Greens. Got some gift certificates for Christmas so decided to come here during the winter break with the kids for a round of mini golf. We had such a great time. It's a glow in the dark blacklight situation with a skeleton pirate theme. Side note: what is it with pirate-themed mini golf courses? They are everywhere! Anyway, there are 13 holes with skeletons that jump out at you, gates that open by themselves, boxes that levitate, and more. It was more interesting than other mini golf courses I've played that don't have as much going on. The staff were super friendly, and they keep the teams spaced out so people aren't breathing down your neck waiting on you to finish a hole. The price for a 13-hole putt putt golf course was $15/person on a Sunday. I'm not sure if this is considered expensive or not but I thought it was pretty reasonable for about 30-45 minutes of tee-time. I loved how the whole course was an underwater, "Davy Jones Locker" theme, which made the glow-in-the-dark effects all the more fun and "spooky". Each course was beautifully decorated as well. As a very inexperienced putt putt-golfer, this course was moderately challenging for me, even after I got into the "swing" of things (pun intended). The staff was incredibly friendly and the facilities were clean and well kept. First off, let me begin with I LOVE this mini golf course. We did the escape room as well and it's amazing. Sadly, on this visit we were completely turned off by the counter staff. One staff member in particular. Because of the lame Covid rules, the only description I have is she is probably over 45. Her hair is long and when we were there (1/30/21) she wore it parted in the middle and braided- it maybe grey or blond. When we walked up to the counter we said hi and she followed with "Did you make a booking online?" We stated we had not. To which she replied "We can't guarantee a spot if you do not reserve online". Mind you the lobby is empty. She then proceeded to act completely put out to even perform her small tasks of giving us golf balls and golf putters. Someone in our party asked if we could also try the Escape Room. She made it obvious we were an issue and that helping us have a good time was not her priority. She told us we didn't have a reservation and that if we wanted to do the escape room we would need to finish our golfing in 25 mins with our party if 5. Thankfully another employee stated we could join the upcoming Escape Room first and then complete our mini golf. The angry employee then told us to hurry up and place our putters on the counter and was very particular in how we placed them. She then told us if we didn't place them exactly how she wanted them we would be adding more work for her to clean them. Ok Karen thanks! Overall, this employee made our experience such a downer. Mind you, they have a sign posted in their lobby that states if you're 15 minutes late you could lose your spot. & when asked about the sign, the man-child replied "that's outdated & we just haven't changed it".
