New kids play place with low admission costs and good food options. My kids loved the bumper cars and zip line and I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and garlic fried rice. Best suited for kids under 10.

Took my kiddo to this place, and he enjoyed it a lot. Nice staff, and it was only $10 to play. They also have a zipline and ballpit! Also for parents, there is a bar. I recommend posting your business on Google maps too! We will be coming back.

I am very disappointed in my first and final experience we had at voicebox Northwest. We made the…read moreunfortunate decision to invite all our closest friends for a wedding reception here... The moment we walked in we were not greeted warmly even though we were on cloud nine from just finishing our wedding ceremony. Micheal said that we could order with him or the bar so we decided we wanted to do a group shot for the milestone. All the bars I have ever been to make you take them at the bar so we went up there as a group to get the shots. There was one other patron in the lobby other than my group and the bartender stood on top of the bar and said "you rented the room not the lobby so you need to go back to your room." I asked her if we could take the shots in there and she said "obviously". At this point there had been multiple micro aggressions to my group but we had paid for two hours so we decided to stay. We bought lots of food and drinks and were enjoying ourselves. We were having so much fun in the room that we decided to extend the time for two more hours. At one point my fiancé had went to the restroom and saw the staff in the lobby drinking. This just felt so unprofessional and explained how we were being treated. About 45 minutes before our reservation ended my friend had a bit too much to drink and we found her a ride home. She had thrown up OUTSIDE on the street when Micheal came in and cut the whole group off. He had said it in the most unprofessional way, "we are cutting the whole group off due to someone losing their lunch." It felt so disrespectful and the party was very uncomfortable. After this my husband went to pay our tab so we could leave and Michael told Him he could not pay and needed to get my consent. I felt this was very disrespectful considering he was legally my husband that night. He even said "are you Hailey Owen?" "Then you can't pay." Honestly I don't care who pays my bill but they had no issue with him adding to my tab but they cared about him paying it??? Made zero sense. They said they had to cut us off due to ordering at the bar and not knowing how much we had to drink. If an establishment over serves guesses that is their responsibility. Due to the comment of my husband seeing them drinking in the lobby it makes me wonder if they could not tell those were impaired due to their own impatient. We did end up getting refunded for 45 minutes that we did not use. This just really left a sour taste in my mouth. I have seen other comments claiming they bully people and I could not agree more. It really made us feel like it was not money well spent and even though we had bought out the suite for most of the night we were not treated respectfully. This was the worst experience and I wish we would have given our money and business to a better establishment. It takes a minute to say congratulations to the newly wed couple... they could not even do that. It really made me wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that we were a heterosexual couple and if they have issues with that. ------------------------------------------------ 7/28/26 Edit to add that the GM did contact us and refunded us the entire time of karaoke. He offered to compensate two hours at his other location and apologized profusely for the experience. We might be open to trying the other location in the future. I greatly appreciate the compensation and conversation.

(Try the "kamikaze" button to get random songs, you might find a gem.) The KJ seems cool, and he sings well himself to kick things off. Good drink list, including NA options. Didn't try the food but cool that it's all vegan. You can rent a private room, which might be good with a large group. You could even warm up with your friends in the private room and then move to the public room. We went public only, which gives the thrills and horrors of hearing strangers sing, and also means you get to sing fewer songs since you have to wait your turn. The big drawback here (although I haven't tried many other karaoke places to compare) -- is the poor sound. It's loud and distorted. We left early because our ears were hurting. Another little drawback is the location of the main screen -- if a singer faces it, his or her back is to the audience! There are smaller screens to look at so you can face the audience.

It was enough food for two, but I valiantly consumed most of it myself. When they brought the check, they asked if it was the first time for us, and gave us a 10% discount on the tab. Can't argue with that. This place is great, more people should know about it.

I was curious about what took over the old La Cucaracha space. I had chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. It came with beans and rice, but it didn't come with some of the other things common to fajitas (like pico, sour cream, and guacamole) The chicken was well spiced and delicious. The salsa and chips were good. Salsa tasted hand made. I asked for a side of guacamole, and they whipped it up fresh. It was simple and tasty. The space is clean and looks ready for groups of family and friends. I'm coming back.

When the line gets long it feels like you're blocking the front entrance. We stayed at our table (maybe ten feet from the front counter) and the waitress gave my sister a hard time for grabbing us a round of drinks. Wouldn't sell her three drinks with us right there (mind you we all three went up and showed ID with the first round, and showed ID to get in). I had to come down, and be standing next to her to say, "yes, the second drink is for me." Which was super weird. There is sometimes a cover, no cover when we went this evening which was a fun surprise. It was my first time coming but my sister (in the photo) had been here quite a few times before. The music is great, they mix it up quite a bit, but it never stops. It does get warm in there, and when we first arrived we were assaulted with the smell of body odor... I hate to say it but after a few minutes you stop noticing it. They have a super cool vending machine that has all different types of fun items for purchase. I would definitely come back if I was out in the area!

It was like it was an inconvenience that we ordered a drink and they had to do their job. Left after one drink because they ruined the vibe and destroyed what could have been a solid experience. Huge bummer because it seemed like such a fun place.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

There are a few dining tables inside if you're planning to have a meal as well. The bartender was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me after I asked for a few recommendations. The drinks were excellent, well-balanced, flavorful, and actually tasted like proper cocktails instead of just juice. They definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol either!
