I was looking for a place where a 1 year old and three year old would enjoy on a rainy day. This is the place. Not overwhelming and plenty of fun, safe and clean to our standards. The attendant was friendly and helpful. We had a tough time to get the four year old to be done. She spoke to him kindly and told him he could choose a sticker to be a good listener and he did. Glad we found this place because it was so much fun for our toddler. The place is small but utilizes the space well. Upon coming in your just simply sign a short waiver and hand sanitize and head in. I appreciate the hand sanitize requirement to not pass germs. There were 3 different slides: one into a ballpit, one big one that was fun for even me, and a spiral one. Our toddler spent so much time on the big slide as you get a decent speed but not too steep where it presents danger. There's also a middle section where you have cannons you can load with balls and shoot with air pressure. It was so much fun. Will be one of our go-tos for getting the wiggles out especially since it's local. read more

We have been playing at Ocean Play for more than half a year now. This is my kids' favorite indoor playground in the Hillsboro area. Location: Ocean Play is conveniently located in a plaza, making it easy to go shopping after playtime. It also has plenty of parking space, so I never worry about finding a spot. Service: The service at Ocean Play is excellent. The place is always clean, and I feel very safe when my kids are running around. They also offer some snacks to eat and free Wi-Fi service. The restrooms are very clean as well. If they have a party event, they always post the latest schedule on Google beforehand. Cost: It is cheaper to play during weekdays. However, the best money-saving tip is to buy their punch card (if you live close by and your kids like the place). The playground has lots of attractions that my kids enjoy. My son has been coming here at least once a month since he was 3. Throughout the pandemic and into 2023. He is 5 and I'll likely keep taking him here till he is maybe 7. At that point I think Ocean Play should start limiting older kids. This place is mostly for 1-5 or kids not quite in school yet. While some parents use it as a daycare, and let their kids run free without any sort of parental guidance, for the most part the kids and parents get along very well and there is an atmosphere that is very pro children and getting along. Management is great, the owners are very kind when present. Staff is ok, it's likely a pretty boring job to sit there and listen to crazy kids all day. The facility is usually very clean. I want to say they even clean and rotate the balls in the ball pit, which if you grew up playing in McDonald's ball pits is a greatly appreciated thing. They serve Costco refreshments at an up charge, but they are never too harsh about bringing in your own snacks and or lunch. They have pizza menus for outside companies delivery so there are options if needed and or you forgot to bring a snack or water for your kiddo. I would give this place 5/5 stars but more recently they have been pushing tipping. Not sure if that is the managements idea or their employees, but there really isn't much "customer service" to need tipping. Which makes me question the pay rates of their employees. Sure it is nice that Ocean Play is not as expensive as Monkey Play in Beaverton, yet, but they are open far earlier than Monkey Play. ($12 vs $20 and 9am vs 2pm) So if they need to charge more to pay their employees better, I'm ok with that. The rates have already gone up over the years, but that won't stop me from taking my rambunctious kid here if it remains clean and the parents to management remain child friendly. Asking for tips though, it just kind of bugs me. read more

Just an awesome place. Not so big you'd lose your kid in the labyrinth of games and not so small that they'd get bored. Just a really well-designed play space and plenty of room on the side of the play place for adults to hang out. I love taking my little one there when I have important computer work to do and need to distract her without feeling guilty, as I would with sitting her in front of the TV or an iPad. I get an hour or two of uninterrupted work time, and she gets all her energy out playing in a clean and safe environment. She always has a blast and always sleeps better after a visit to the play place. read more

Honestly I didn't realize that it was going to be so compact. Most other indoor playgrounds are larger, dare I say sprawling. But OP does what it should. Give the kids an outlet to play and burn off energy while interacting with other "littles" and giving the parents a little down time. If I have one negative, it is that the snack/coffee selection is not close to Playdate PDX. Clearly that is because it is confined to such a small area. Basically it is fun for the kids, which is basically the point. Encourage all Hillsboro/Aloha residents to come give it a shot. They might not have espresso, but your kids will have fun. read more

Kids and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place so much. It usually takes my kids a while to get ready and hit the road. But this place is a different story. Once I mention "Ocean plays," my kids get ready and buckle in their car seats within a min. I am not joking. The stuff is so friendly and kind. The place is super clean. Such a cool indoor playground. They just opened on 10/26 so they aren't super busy yet. $8 for kids 4-12 during the week $4 for kids 1-3 and $10/$5 on weekends. The first place we wanted to bring my son was closed due to unexpected staffing issues and we saw the great reviews of this place and decided to take the 45 minute drive to check it out. Its in kind of a weird spot in the middle of a strip mall but once you get inside it is one of the cooler play centers I have ever seen. The maze of fun has a ton of cool stuff for them to do and it wasn't overly crowded even though it was school break. My son was smiling for 2 hours straight and was not stoked about leaving to get burgerville (which is right down the street). Everyone working there was very nice and the place was very clean for a spot constantly bombarded with children. I will be going back next time I visit portland! read more

It really is the perfect place to let your kids run wild, get energy out, play with their friends, and have a super fun time. I do wish the ceilings in the play structure was a little higher because my son wants me to go in with him. I come out with a back ache each time but I'm old. Was planning to book my daughter's birthday here in December. Stopped in to check it out and had the lady place a hold on the date on Tuesday and told her I would pay online before Friday when I get paid. I got online to book Thursday and noticed price went up $25. I called and ask why prices went up and if they would honor the price it was when I placed a hold on the date. The guy told me no and due to so many inquiring they raised prices! How rude your a new business and instead of sticking to there reasonable prices and new to the community they raise them I find that not a great business practice! Kids had a good time. I felt the adult sitting area was claustrophobic. (Very small place. Their website photos make it appear to be larger than it is.) I drove 15 miles to go there. Not worth the drive again IMO but if we lived much closer we would go there again. read more

Took my 2 year old in here for the first time tonight with my husband. He had a blast and it was great to see him having so much fun. It was definitely kid friendly and all the older kids were very polite to him. *****However, there was another parent there taking pictures what appeared to be of his child at one point but then we noticed him taking pictures of other kids. We left shortly after noticing because we didn't want pictures taken of our child as well, especially from someone we didn't know. We are all for capturing the moment with your child but to include other children with out parents permission isn't okay. If there is a way to possibly control or limit picture taking to certain areas or to have the parents be more aware of who is in the pictures, I think this place could be the best to go to. Another suggestion for the safety of our children is to require photo IDs of every adult that comes in that way in case something does happen you will have their name. Other than that, the staff was great and welcoming and we did really enjoy our time here. read more
