Had a Silly Rabbit last time. The bartender had to convince me as I don't like Gin but I couldn't taste it and loved the drink!!

So I got this buddy, right? One of those guys who always knows a "spot." Not a place a spot. There's a difference. A place has a sign. A spot? That's word-of-mouth, borderline suspicious, could-be-amazing-or-could-be-a-mistake kind of energy. He says, "Let's go check out this joint off McLoughlin, right by the bridge." I'm thinking... man, that stretch of road ain't exactly where dreams go to retire. That's where you miss a turn and question your life choices. And then we pull up to Brooklyn Carreta Food Cart Pod and I'll be honest... I wasn't ready. Because from the outside? It's got that weird little triangle-lot energy, tucked in like it owes somebody money. You got an ARCO nearby, traffic buzzing, not exactly screaming "culinary oasis." But then you step in and boom it flips on you. Brand new. Clean. Sharp. They didn't just throw carts in a parking lot and call it a day no, no, no. Somebody cared. There's a legit bar sitting there like it belongs in a different zip code. A game room pool tables, big screens like your cool uncle finally got his life together and opened a hangout. Covered seating, fans spinning, shade everywhere... this is Oregon, man, we respect shade like it's currency. And the carts? All fresh. No rust, no duct tape holding the dream together. These are young guns. Hungry. Trying to prove something. You're on McLoughlin, cars flying by like they late to something important, and then suddenly food paradise. It's like finding a five-star meal in the middle of a gas station dream sequence. It don't make sense... but it works. And that's the beauty of it. Because places like this? They don't need perfect surroundings. They become the reason you pull over. You don't stumble into this place you decide to stop. And once you do, you realize... yeah, this was the right call. It's got that new energy, that "we're building something here" vibe. Not polished in a fake way polished like people actually gave a damn. Five stars? Yeah. Easy. Because sometimes the best spots ain't where they're supposed to be they're exactly where they shouldn't be... and that's why they hit s

We'd read about this new food cart pod & decided to stop by. They did such a good job building out the space! Super functional layout, great indoor seating options & a spacious outdoor courtyard. It really feels similar to the Heist in Woodstock in terms of having a nice selection of carts & a chill atmosphere. Love that there's a full bar, pool tables & cozy fireside seating. There is a dedicated parking lot, but it fills up quickly.

Thrilled to have a new food cart park close in Portland, with indoor and outdoor tables, a variety of carts, a bar, game room, central courtyard with open skylight, colorful mural and a fire pit, water dispenser, and most important, clean bathrooms! Brooklyn Carreta thought of everything. The only con is the parking. The adjoining lot is very small, so if you get there at 6pm or after, you will have to park across the street and trying to cross SE Holgate is not easy. Food options are plenty and varied - Cuban, Thai, Sushi, Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Coffee & Pastries, Fish & Chips, Shawarma, Dumplings, Burgers, Philly Cheesesteaks, Pizza, Fried Chicken, Waffles - seriously, something for everyone. Great vibe! Delicious food!

4/5 stars for overall ambiance. 3/5 stars for overall food quality. I have eaten here four time already. It's one of the prettiest food pods in PDX! I love the wall decor, open skylight along with covered areas indoor and outdoor to accommodate the on and off seasons of our beloved PNW weather. It's also built with some thought on kids friendly with a little play area. There's arcade section as well. Now on to the food truck. So far I ordered from Havana Station, Bollywood Dhaba, Shawarma House, The Nour Thai Cuisine, Korean Tiger, and Brooklyn Carreta. I'm addicted to the Seaweed & Noodle Roll (5), $6.00 from the Korean Tiger!!!!! I couldn't stop eating them and got them all the four times I came within the last month. They're so delicious and satisfying, well seasoned and balanced with crunchy yet mochi texture of the mung bean/glass/clear noodle. Havana and Nour Thai were okay. Both were cooked with too much oil I could literally feel my arteries coating. The plantain shelves from Havana were dripping with oil at every bite. The Pad Eggplant from Nour Thai was salty, oily, and chewy extra thin cheap cut of beef with fat. The garlic naan from Ballywood Dhaba was too soft in texture for my liking. Their mango lassi is super sweet and no hint of mango flavor. The baklava from Shawarma was okay. Slushy from Brooklyn Carreta was fun with plastic cup that changed to pretty swirl of purple and blue when cold and topped with gummy bear, pricy though for $6 for less than 6oz. The coffee shop inside closed at 2pm daily so I haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet. The main parking lot adjacent to the pod is limited spaces with one way access only. There's a bigger parking lot directly across to street from the pod. P.Y. Clean restroom with toilet cover seats.

Bar area with 3 large rollup doors letting in lots of natural light!
Stacey L.

Beautifully built space with 3 large roll up doors that opens the bar space with the central courtyard. Plenty of outdoor seating, a really nice long wooden bar top, nice and attentive bartender ladies. The building lets in a lot of natural light with big windows, it also has a designated kids play area (so obviously kid-friendly), booster chairs, a little arcade game room, and of course a good mix of food carts (Indian, Korean, Cuban, Himalayan, Thai, American, Sushi). Right off of 99E/mclaughlan

Cute seating and ambiance, has its own parking lot. Lots of diverse food cart options of exceptional food! Really enjoyed the Cuban truck as well as the cafe indoors and a banana latte

Wow! Portland is filled with these food truck pods and this is one of the newest and super cool! Lots of trucks and an indoor area with a nice big bar- we had a Negroni for Tony in honor of Bourdain's Bday- RIP. We had fried clams(cuz I can never find them in Denver) and some fusion quesadillas that were to die for! So glad we found this spot.

Artichoke potato. Very good.

Great new food cart/bar establishment. You go to the carts and there is a huge covered area with tables and games for all ages. Very clean and well organized. It's worth a visit. The only challenge is parking isn't great. There is a lot to the north that helps. We visited the Mr potato cart and the stuffed potatoes were exceptionally good.

So much goodness here. It was a beautiful evening to be outside. I walked by the carts and decided on Cuban Food. Havana Station had a few tasty looking Miami dishes, including a proper looking Cuban sandwich, but I was craving Ropa Vieja. Placed my order and was handed an electronic pager. The inside and outside seating areas were both crowded, but luckily there were open seats at a communal table. It took a while for the food to be ready. Not drinking right now now, but if I was, there's a full-blown bar inside the building. Decided on a horchata for a drink. When the food was ready I brought my pager back up. Should've asked for it in a to go box because it was a large serving, and I couldn't finish it all. Ended up folding my plate over and taking the rest to go. There are two bathrooms in the outside section. They were clean. Only reason I knocked off one star is because there's not enough parking. Spent 10 minutes driving in circles and finally parked at 24 Hour Fitness. I had just come from the gym so I felt it was OK. Still I worried about being towed. It distracted from my experience and caused rushing when I would've liked to have relaxed and chilled. The food was good, the horchata was great, the ambiance- perfect. I'll definitely go back to try the Thai cart or fish and chips.

I love how there was plenty of seating all around - no accidentally bumping into someone else while walking around and exploring all the food options! There were hightops, larger tables for groups of 10+ people or for communal seating, and bar seating at some of the vendors too. The space can also be rented out for private parties, etc. The water stations were scattered thoughtfully around the dining areas so you don't need to go far for water or bussing your table. The bathrooms were reasonably clean as well (with a key code - ask at any vendor to get it). I would come back again to try more food - it's a welcoming space. This visit, the selection was a bit limited and the wait times can be a bit long so if you're paying for parking, make sure to add a bit extra time to avoid rushing your meal. As for the food, I got the spicy garlic ramen with the keto noodles from MATSUNOKI RAMEN. Pretty sure not gluten free, so if you are a gf friend, not the place for you. If you can stand a bit of it, the soup really hit the spot and had a good heat to it. The noodles were not great, had become a ball. The meat in the soup was minimal and more friend bacon than what I'm used to in ramen. The serving size was pretty substantial. If you're in the area with a large group this could be a good place to go.

Let's get into it. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.

Love me some Happy Valley Station!…read more This is like the upscale farmers market of food carts- park your car, enjoy the landscaping, and check it all out. Dog friendly, Kid friendly, 100-year old friendly. Lots of clean and tidy indoor and outdoor cafeteria-style seating to choose from. Carts are covered from the rain, but outside. Beer and Espresso served and paid for inside. Restrooms are accessible and inside. Carts will give you a buzzer to notify you when the order is ready, so you can go walk around or find a seat while you wait. It was very busy this particular day, but no problem, all the carts seemed to be prepared for that! Just a lot of friendly faces who understood we needed to drool over all the menus before arriving somewhere. We landed on Premier Japanese Hibachi and loved all the flavor. Some of the freshest shrimp and yakisoba I have ever had. We also had the grilled shrimp and steak. TIP: don't forget to ask how you want your steak because it is made to order! The sauces on the side were perfect for dipping and sharing. Unfortunately, the portions did feel small for $18 a plate. Also, how to order water with your meal was confusing- another worker said just go inside. Eventually I saw signs that water is free with purchase or $1, but you would think it would be obvious. Overall, Premier Japanese Hibachi and everything else was a hit, 10/10, TY!

Five Stars The Mall That Still Gets It Right…read more Let me start off by saying this. I'd love to hit every single spot in here and give them all their moment, but you're only getting a handful of my favorites because this place is massive. And honestly, that's part of the charm. Clackamas Town Center is what a mall is supposed to be. You've got the movie theater, a legit food court, a full-on carousel, and hundreds of shops that'll keep you wandering longer than you planned. And here's something real. When it's hot outside or you've got kids bouncing off the walls, stepping into that air conditioning feels like you just made a life decision that matters. You'll walk this place and accidentally get your steps in. It's the kind of exercise you don't argue with. They've got little things that make a difference too. A koi pond that slows you down for a second. Kid corners where families can reset. It's not just shopping. It's an experience you can stretch into a whole afternoon without even trying. Now let's talk convenience, because this place nails it. TriMet runs right through here with both bus and MAX light rail access. There's a park and ride, which is clutch. You can literally park your car and take the MAX straight out to Portland International Airport and skip the airport parking headache. That alone makes this place a power move. And the surrounding lineup is stacked. You've got the Residence Inn right in the mix, plus food spots like Claim Jumper, Oswego Grill, Mezcaluna, and fun like Dave and Buster's. Whether you're eating, hanging out, or making a night of it, it's all right there. Fun fact time. This mall first opened back in 1981 and has gone through multiple expansions to become one of the largest shopping centers in Oregon. It's also one of the few in the region that still feels modern, alive, and constantly evolving while others have slowed down or faded out. Inside, you've got everything from AT&T to REI and more shops than you'll realistically hit in one trip. You can come here for a couple errands and somehow lose a few hours without regret. Only downside. Parking can be a mission. You might end up a bit of a walk out. But honestly, that just adds to the experience. More steps, more time, more reason to wander. In my opinion, this is the mall in the Portland area. The others might exist, but this one actually delivers. It's clean, it's modern, it's full of life, and it gives you a reason to come back. If you're anywhere nearby and wondering where to go, this is it.

Just bought an engagement ring and grabbed Cinnabon to celebrate. While waiting, my girlfriend and…read moreI shared a quick kiss, nothing wild, nothing inappropriate. Some security dude immediately jumped in to lecture us about "making out," which was awkward as hell and completely unnecessary in a public mall full of couples, kids, noise, and real issues. 5 Stars - WonderLove is Portland's best-kept (not-so-secret) adult playground!…read moreJust off SE Main Street in the Central Eastside (right at 2nd & Main), WonderLove feels like someone took a classic food cart pod, cranked the creativity to 11, and built a three-story party fortress around it. This place isn't just 'grab your food and go' it's a full-on hangout destination that makes regular pods look boring. The carts might not all be the heavyweight champions of Portland's food scene, but who cares when the options are this diverse and tasty? From Guyanese bakes at Tu Tia (those fluffy pockets are killer) to Honeycuspe's next-level waffles, Gyro Bistro, sushi poke, Indian plates, and more there's something for everyone. I grabbed snacks and a drink and could've stayed all afternoon. But the real star? The setup. It's got tons of covered picnic seating on the ground level, an elevated sports lounge in a stacked shipping container (complete with TVs and wood flooring salvaged from an old college basketball court how cool is that?), and a killer rooftop deck with awesome views of downtown Portland. You can literally sit up high, sip a craft cocktail from the bar, watch the world (and traffic) go by, and feel like you're in a treehouse for grown-ups. Plenty of interactive vibes too games, space to move around, live music stages ready for DJs or bands. It's giving big "block party every night" energy. I went during the daytime and it was already awesome bright, clean, colorful murals everywhere, easy parking, and zero sketchy downtown feels. I can only imagine how epic it gets in the evening with lights on, music bumping, and that rooftop catching sunset or city glow. Not scummy, not skimpy just fresh, inviting, and thoughtfully built. Food carts don't have to be this fun and hangout-friendly, but when someone puts in the extra effort? Chef's kiss. Extra star for pure creativeness. If you're tired of the same old pods, add WonderLove to your list immediately. Great for a quick bite, a drink with friends, a family outing, or turning into a full night out. Highly recommend especially as evening rolls in. I'll be back for sure, and I'll be shouting out my favorite carts next time. This spot made the 'must-return' list on day one. Go check it out! "

Love that the noodles are hand made. The flavors in this dish were absolutely incredible…read more Recommendation would be to get a spice level down from what you normally get. We wanted to do medium but went with mild and we were glad we did. Located conveniently in the Midtown Beer Garden.

Found street parking a few blocks down which was okay since the weather was nice…read more The food truck is nested in a beer garden with a large covered tent area in the middle area. There is plenty of seating there and It looked like there was a space for live music and string lights - probably a fun spot to grab dinner in the evening. We came for lunch and ordered the chao mian with chicken (spicy) and bian bian noodles (spicy). The noodles are cooked to order and we were served quickly. The serving sizes are huge. Neither one of us could finish ours. We'll likely order one dish to split next time, and that'd still probably be more than enough. The flavor of the chao mian was a bit lackluster. It was savory with a soy sauce flavor base, but got a bit repetitive with each bite. It was decently spicy and texture was there with the veggies, but I wish there was a way to customize with more spice or vinegar to taste. The bian bian noodles were more flavorful and also spicier. Fun noodle texture. There are also other vendors in the garden so you can pair a dessert, drink, or side with your meal while staying in the same area. Overall, a filling meal for a good price! Would come again to try their beef noodle soup.
