My dame and I was hang'in in da area for a day so's we went look'in for something ta munch. She found this excuse for a "restaurant" here on Yelp believe it or not. So's we gave it a whirl because of it's rating. Those ratings may have been done by the operators of dis joint. They aren't right. We ordered and da palooka that takes the orders didn't have any decaf. He didn't have any root beer. Seems easier to say what he didn't have than what he did. I got a soda that was caffeine free and just hadda couple swings, I avoids sugar. I know, I know shoulda had water as usual. A BLT is usually safe. But I doesn't eat salt as a rule and never caffiene. Sometimes as a "treat" if yas get my drift. I look at the ingredient list and it seemed pretty safe and I felt like being treated. So's the fake Italian sandwich shows up and the "home made mayo" is not mayo, it's some spicy crapola I can't eat that's supposed to be a ringer for mayo. If yas hasn't figured it out yet Hammer is a picky eater and drinker. I don't eat anything spicy. I don't like it. Want to be certain yas totally destroy a sandwich. Spread something on it that's horrid. That oughta do it. We never saw the sap that took our order after he brought the fake Italian food. In a "real" restaurant the server comes an' checks ta see if yas needs anything or how that grub is. My skirt ate what they brought her and said it was marginal but nutt'in to write home about. She was hungry. I wiped off the bacon much as I could and ate around da rest staying away from the terrible fake mayo much as possible. Didn't amount to much that was edible. I wanted to get "on the road again" or I would have helped out more with the improvement of this con joint. As a rule I won't pay 44 bucks for food I won't eat. I promise I don't tip when I already feel like I was misinformed about the food and robbed already. We just scrammed outta there. When will be be back? Easy peasy NEVER! read more

Delicious! They make their sandwiches out of pizza dough. Light and tender. I had a BLT. Lots of lettuce and crunchy flavorful bacon. My husband had an Italian. He thoroughly enjoyed it. They served with a spicy honey sauce on the side. Pizzas look great. Good latte. Definitely will stop again when driving through The Dalles. In fact, will plan drive for lunch or dinner. read more

This is a cute little cafe! Orders are placed at the counter and they called out our order when it was done. My husband liked his meal and so did my other friends. The breakfast pizza looked really good, but I'm lactose sensitive so I ordered the avocado toast. My meal was cold when it arrived. The avocado was not ripe enough so it was pretty tasteless. The toast had so much pepper on it that it was the only thing I could taste. In would not order this again. read more

What an awesome find. The pizza dough sandwiches are amazing. I did the Italian and my wife did the turkey one. Both tasted great. They were filling but not heavy. A friend and I were spending the night on our way south and found this place open (as several places weren't). Not one to pass up a fish taco, or better yet, a seared ahi tuna taco, I jumped on the chance to try it out. Note, I love cabbage...so the healthy amount of cabbage was a big hit with me! Also, ask for both sauce options, one is a wasabi mayo and the other a chipotle mayo, it was nice to have both flavors on every other bite. The sandwich was superb. I'd really love to see this place. Succeed where the previous one did not. In order for that to happen there needs to be some changes to the service. The guy behind the counter wearing the black beanie with the bleach blonde hair seems to have brought his Portland attitude with him. I don't know if that's where he's from but I was immediately transported to SE Portland when dealing with him. A place I'd rather not be. Excellent food in a friendly atmosphere! Sandwiches are wrapped in wood fired pizza dough and the one I tried was awesome! I was envisioning a heavy calzone concept. This was refreshingly different. Fresh lettuce, tomato, turkey, ranch, bacon and red onion basically folded in a warm pizza bread. Delicious. Sandwich was a hearty meal. Salad was fresh and delicious. We also shared a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie that was amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly. Cafe atmosphere is great. This is my new "go-to" spot in The Dalles. Based on the pizza crust used on the sandwich, I'd expect the pizza to be fantastic. I'll be back to check it out! read more

The pizzas a the best in town and always cold as a stone when delivered. It is very expensive and the management needs large lessons in customer service as well as 101 management. I have had many problems with them but I keep counting on the quality going up. Not happening, tonight I ordered a pizza 30+ bucks - nothing special and they delivered it someplace else, even though I asked for them to hand it to me... I just bought someone else dinner and the manager, instead of offering to replace it hung up on me. This is a great town, we need great businesses. read more

love this place. come here with my kids all the time. great pastries, pizza and drinks. the atmosphere is super chill and they also have a small climbing wall that my kids love. staff is always very helpful and friendly and very cool about the inevitable messes my toddler makes. can't recommend enough read more

We called to ask about homemade soup. The owner's retired dad made a fabulous tomato bisque today...delicious. The owner was genuinely appreciative when we told him the Italian, and veggie are the best sandwiches we can remember eating...fresh baked pizza bread, quality ingredients, and great flavors. We are going back for coffee in the morning. It feels good to support a kind, local family business with great products. read more
