The buffet was so good, fresh and hot. Everything made from scratch, just like home cooking. I even had the meatloaf for breakfast, which was so, so good! Delicious food, fun atmosphere and the staff is super friendly.

On 5/17/22, I had dinner in The Dalles, OR at Beachwood Eatery & Lounge. This is a business that started as a food truck in 2015. All of their burgers are an 80/20 mix of 1/2 lb. of never frozen meat. I had their Pioneer burger ($11.95), which is a Cheeseburger with bottomless fresh cut fries. Not only was the burger delicious, it was a heck of a deal. There is a much better known brew pub on the more heavily traveled road through town that is charging $16.95 for a 1/3 lb. American Wagyu Bacon Cheese burger and fries. Even the local fast food joint, Burgerville, charges $10 for a much smaller burger and fries. By comparison, Beachwood Eatery's burger was made to order. My meal came with A+ service from my friendly and attentive server, David. I've eaten in the Dalles at least once a year since 1990. He is by far the most best server I have had the privilege of meeting. No matter that I arrived at the restaurant shortly before closing time. He treated me as if I was the first guest of the day. He was also happy to answer all of my questions. In addition to great burgers and hospitality, Beachwood Eatery & Lounge is family-friendly. They have a great kids menu with lots of options. Beachwood Eatery & Lounge has lots of homemade pies and other desserts. Based on how many chocolate cream pies were in the refrigerated case, my guess is that are a favorite. Beachwood Eatery has a monthly All-You-Can-Eat Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet. dinner. They also do catering. Beachwood Eatery & Lounge also has a separate lounge and lottery room, with slot machines. Highly Recommended!!!

Picked up a to-go order, and unfortunately there was mold on the buttered toast. Due to not knowing what else the moldy knife and butter had touched, and what else may have been mold contaminated, we weren't comfortable eating the rest of the meal. They also forgot part of the order. They refused to give a refund unless we went and dug all the food out of the trash can and honestly with everything else going on, it wasn't worth trash can diving for it. Manager was pleasant on the phone, however the own was extremely rude and hostile.

Excited to try this delivery out but really disappointed . Ordered an adult Mac and cheese...there was no description of what came on it to classify it as "adult" . Turns out just a large order of flavorless Mac and cheese swimming in oil. My husbands burger was okay and that was really the only saving grace of this review. We ordered the nacho tots, and got the saddest looking thing I've ever seen and most of the toppings missing, that soggy mess went straight into the trash. Not worth the $40.

Great experience. Huge portions & well prepared food. Fabulous steaks. My kids were served on small platters perfect for the messes kids always make. Our server was really on top of everything. We had ordered bottomless shrimp & she restocked it 3x without us asking. I would totally go again. My husband and I ordered a Beachwood Amber ale, it was refreshing & delicious.

This is the definition of a little country hole in the wall. Tons of locals there, relative small, but with friendly service and really good food! Like seriously, good burgers! The five of us split a total of four burgers, including a mushroom, Swiss, a bacon burger, and the James burger, which was a bacon cheeseburger with an egg on top. The James is one of the better burgers I've ever tasted! We also noted how delicious the tater tots were! I'm not generally one to gush over the accoutrements, but these were magnificent. The fries are also quite good. We were told that they will be under new management soon, but it is apparently staying in the family. This is an absolute must hit if you're in the area!

They seemed to have a light but steady amount of patrons that morning. Plenty of parking, and a good location right on the 14 in Lyle. My husband went inside to place our order. We ordered two fairly basic breakfast platters: eggs, hash browns, and pancakes for me...eggs, bacon, browns, and toast for him. The food was prepped decently fast, and the service was cordial. The portions were fair. The pancakes were huge, but pretty heavy so I could only get through about 1/3. The food was cooked to order and good...an average breakfast I would say...maybe nothing to do cartwheels about, but certainly satisfying.

I asked for a Dos Equis, and Heather looked at me and blankly asked, "What is that?" When I explained it was a Mexican beer, she snapped, "We don't have that." Meanwhile, I could clearly see another patron at the end of the bar drinking a Modelo. I pointed it out and just asked for a Modelo instead, which she finally served. The real issue, however, was a shocking lack of sanitation later in our meal. My dad ordered the Reuben soup, which came with a side of Thousand Island dressing. He enjoyed it, so a few minutes later, I ordered a cup for myself. When Heather brought out my soup, it didn't come with its own dressing. Instead of pouring a fresh side, she reached over, grabbed my dad's used, leftover Thousand Island dressing, pushed it over to me, and said, "Oh, he looks like he didn't touch this. You can go ahead and use it." I was completely stunned and disgusted. Passing used, pre-served food side-dishes between customers is a massive health code violation, regardless of whether we are family or not. If this is how they handle hygiene in plain sight at the bar, I dread to think what is happening back in the kitchen. We will definitely not be returning.

The food was delicious; each of us ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their meal. I got the salmon fish and chips, and it was SO good. I'm so used to fish and chips being made with cod or other white fish, so this was a fun change. Despite being a pub, this place is family-friendly. The kid's menu was perfect for my little nephew, and my sister was very pleased with the quality of his burger meat and the fact that you can sub fries for veggie sticks for kiddos. Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us.
