    yes the gears move!
    Dan R.

This place got style and attitude, including its signature set up of gears on the wall that are belted together and move. The front room is smallish, but there's a large room in the book with stage--a lot of music happens here. Had studied the menu and was going to eat here, but got invited elsewhere. The bartender didn't know a lot about what was on tap, and not into making suggestions.

So much more than just bottles & brews - this place is an absolute gem!!! Delicious food, ah-mazing craft cocktails, the best selection of beers on tap in the Gorge, and the friendliest service I've found in a long time!! The owners and their staff really do a great job making you feel welcome and right at home. My new favorite!!!

    Peach margarita" - quite delicious

This place was the worst experience I'v had at any bar. The owner was extremely rude, I'd recommend any other place than this.

Located right on 2nd Street in The Dalles, it's a great place to stop if you're wandering the various tasting rooms and bare pubs in the area. Since it was my first time here, I did the flight. The first wine, the Locomotive, had me with the very light taste with hints of honey and papaya. Not one to typically drink whites, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. On a warm or even hot day, this would be perfect. As I made my way through the tasting, I found that I was enjoying several of their wines. The High Tension, their club favorite, was a full bodied blend of Syrah, Merlot and Barbera. A perfect everyday drinking wine And good for parties where you need a wine that pleases many palettes. The other standout for me was the Barbera. Very smooth, full body and slightly jammy. Since I'm in a Barbera club at Cascade Cliffs, I left with the Locomotive. I'm looking forward to a warm spring day to sit in my deck and enjoy with friends. The tasting room inside is small and simple. A picnic tables and seats out in the paved area out front, nice on a sunny day. I'll definitely be back.
