They EVEN have gardenburgers!

My mind is in the gutter for this bowling alley. They've got the best balls and the best alley to glide them down. They are also one of the biggest that I've found so far as they've got 24 lanes. This might "strike" you as funny but I know this because I've been checking out the other alleys and doing my research. The employees are super hospitable and keep a clean house as well. I cannot wait to grab a ball and play again. I will "spare" you with any other details and you can check out their pins yourself.

I haven't bowled in forty years. Even then, when Dick Nixon was rolling the basement with the plumbers, I was only rolling 120. Mostly we drank beer, smoked and made eyes at girls, and when our turn came around, rolled the ball down the lane to a chorus of jeers and insults. It was great! Recently I've been thinking of trying it again, so I made my way out to Mt. Hood Lanes. Not much in life has stood still, and bowling is no exception. While me and Nixon rolled on old oiled wooden lanes, the lanes here are Brunswick Pro Anvil Synthetic. The surface beautiful, smooth and consistent. The scoring is all automatic , using touch screen technology. The place is clean and bright - gone were the cigarettes, beer bottles and my hoodlum friends. Doug, who was working the counter set me up with an open lane and some shoes. He was kind enough to show me how to use the Brunswick touch screen scoring system, which basically requires you to enter your name and click "bowl". I rolled three games using a 13 pound plastic house ball and rolled a score of 120 - well that didn't change.

My kids loved bowling here. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. It has a quite a few lanes and I liked that you were able to reserve a lane online if you wanted to.

Great sauce station! Love love love this place!

Wow, I don't know why people would say anything negative about this place! I loved it! I had the Bacon Bogey Cheeseburger, and let me just say wow! It was so good, juicy, fresh. I like the fact that they have the sauces on there own table. My family and I are sauce freaks so it was extremely convenient! The customer service was superb and the girls were so nice! Haylee was so nice and because of her customer service, me and my family will be back here when we visit! I have 2 small kids and they loved it, lots of stuff for them to look at on the walls :) Thanks girls it was sooooo good!

Kids had a great time bowling in their 7th birthday!

Functions well as a bowling alley. They've got cold beer on tap. Their food however, is absolutely horrible.

Good for casual hang outs. Nothing special but it's nice and it's not crazy expensive. I do recommend everyone try it at least once

Perfect rainy day activity…read more What to do on a Sunday when you have nothing to do! Well, bowl it is. We were told there was a 30 minute wait for a lane that we could only have for 90 minutes since a league needed a few lanes. The wait was just enough time for us to go to the other side to order a pitcher of cerveza and some grub. We had just poured a pint when the front desk called to say the lane opened up. We ended up waiting less than we initially thought. A win. The food we ordered was brought over to our table. We were starving. Let me tell you something, the food was amazing. Let me give you a rundown because we ate ate. We got the wings. That mango habanero was wow. We got dry rub for the other option. Also very good. The garlic parmesan fries was perfectly cooked. I kilt that dipping sauce. The corndog bites reminded me of my childhood. We also got a pizza. I'm not sure if it was the combination of my high from doing so well plus the two bowls I hit on the way over, but the food slapped. We ate everything. Killed all the plates. The foods slapped so hard I forgot to snap picas. The service was great. Everyone was nice. I specifically loved that their pins were free. I'm in a bowling league in LA and the pins at the spot I go to are held by strings and I firmly believe I'd have more strikes if they were free. Also, random but I loved their setup - a huge table with seats that slide back. It was great for when you got too comfortable yapping and forget it's your turn to bowl so you spring back. There was ample space for you to turn. I dug it. We ended up playing 3 games. Now I know where to hang whenever I'm in town.

Lots of "prize" games but very pricey & of course, the kids we brought wanted to win the big stuff like a brand new Nintendo Switch or PS5. Unfortunately one kid walked away with nothing (as a mom, totally expected that to happen. These games don't allow winners.) but my son spent probably 20+ dollars on a stuffed animal so I guess for him, it wasn't a total bust. The parking lot was pretty full, and I learned walking in that there was a bowling league there. Busy lanes! I can't speak to the food but did get a Bloody Mary which was decent enough. It's a sketchy area, if you aren't Portland-familiar. Don't leave valuables out in the open, blah, blah, blah. You know how the rest goes.

We sat in our parking spot long enough for Norman Goldman to serve up a little justice on the head of some, star-spangeled, economic hit-man, grabbed our balls and followed the thin man. After two hours of bowling and drinking under the black-lights, we dropped into the Lava Lounge for thirteen or fifteen more drinks. The floor was strewn with bowling bags, and ex-bowlers turned bad playing video poker. Asian girls, punk rockers and wanna-be rappers were lining up for karaoke. We decided to have sixteen or twenty drinks instead and signed up for top billing with the karaoke DJ. Sherry's went first with Diana Krall's "Peel Me a Grape". She broke a leg man - not a dry eye in the house: even the punk rockers were beside themselves. I mopped up with Frank Zappa's "Dirty Love". The girl's were screaming like back in the 60s - they mobbed me and someone took my shoe. Our cash was gone so we left while some kid was bringing down the house with a rousing rendition of Snoop Dogg's "I Don't Need No Bitch".

The atmosphere and theme is really cool, so it's a shame how the owner treats people. We were prepared to reserve a table for a birthday hangout, but their website stated they no longer do reservations. Which is fine, we were prepared to change plans if it didn't work out. 4 of us arrived just before max capacity was reached, and it was admittedly pretty busy. However, 2 members of our group were running a bit behind, and arrived after the bar had put up a "capacity reached" sign. Since we made sure to get a big table, and we still had a couple of empty seats, we asked if it would be okay for our friends to join us when they finally arrived. They said this would not be possible. When our friends finally did arrive, the bar had cleared out considerably (under half of the tables were being used). Our friends approached the counter and asked if it was okay for them to join us since it was a lot emptier now. They were told they were not welcome, and that we should have reserved a table if we wanted to guarantee a spot for everyone. When we told them we had tried to reserve a table beforehand, but they no longer do reservations, the owner admitted this was correct (and that he had lied to our faces). We asked how long our friends would need to wait, and we were told it would likely be hours before they could reassess capacity (mind you, it had cleared out considerably since we had arrived, and no one was even at the bar ordering drinks). I think they just wanted us to leave, because the owner also accused one of our group members of being "abrasive" to the staff earlier in the night. All of us are mild mannered people pleasers, who have always tipped well and treated the staff with respect every time we've visited. We were not going about this interaction expecting special accomodations, or going in with an entitled attitude by expecting them to let our friends in. We were respectful, didn't express annoyance at the situation, or try to be difficult in any way, and were fully prepared to go elsewhere if things didn't work out. Nothing we did warranted the hostile treatment the owner was giving us, so it was really off-putting to treated in such a way. We left pretty shortly after this, and even went up and apologized to the owner in case we had made their night more difficult, and were met with the same snarky, hostile attitude from earlier. If you look at the way the owner responds to other negative Google reviews, it will kind of give you an idea of how we were treated. I don't know if we just caught them on a bad night, or what, but I hope they figure out whatever it is they have going on in their lives.

To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough.
