Once it was our turn for Axe Throwing, the employee explained the rules and for four people we had two lanes. My kiddos of varying ages all had so much fun. Afterward, the employee offered to take pictures of us, which I appreciated. We had a great experience and found them on Groupon, so we will eventually be going again and I can't wait!

Another big thing is, it is a separate business from the brewery, so don't expect servers. You have to go order at the bar and take your beer back up with you, which is fine-ish, but there went 10-15 minutes of your $25 an hour per person. The staffer was fine. It's active and may get your blood pumping but not necessarily breaking a sweat. You can get a beer before hand but obviously can't drink inside the "throwing cages." You don't have to be a young, in shape human to enjoy this activity. In fact, my sister did not want to do this and was pissed that she was overruled by the group and ended up loving it and beating us all in the games! After an hour (which is plenty time) head back over to get another pint and a fantastic pizza or salad at Stickman.

If you haven't been Axe throwing before, well, it sounds exactly like what it is. You are given an axe and you throw it at a target made out of wood. They also have one set of sharp shovels that you can throw. I think this is a good place for team building. Get food at the carts then throw an axe. I will knock down a star tho, because of the openness of the place, randos will walk up and interrupt you. If they added some stanchions or something to like block public access, that would be nice.

Here's how it went:…read more This location is inside of the large and overly busy "BG's Food Cartel" (giant food cart pod), and parking is huge challenge. There's one main public lot for the entire area, and there are not enough parking spaces. Street parking is distant and limited. The axe-throwing experience itself was OK. it was mostly fun, but nothing I found to be compelling enough to do again, especially considering the price (it's about a dollar a minute, before any tips). While our instructor was great (I'd have not been able to hit even the rough vicinity of the target without his expert instruction, and he took photos for us), the condition of the axes and the targets were very inconsistent. My companion's axe steadily degraded with parts falling off of it as the night went on, and it was only after her axe head was very loose and at risk of falling off of the handle that the instructor finally fetched a different one for her to use. This seems like it would be a good team-building exercise for a work group, or for competitive axe throwers to hone their skills, but as a casual item, to me, it was worth doing once, but probably not again.

Long ax and short axes, special little knifes to throw as well. There are numerous TVs in the building. They have a really nice and clean restroom- that is stocked with enough paper towels and toilet paper as well as air fresheners and feminine products: tampons/ pads if those are important to you. They have gear for sale. There are a few backdrops for photos that are in my opinion cute and represent Oregon City! Customer service was amazing. Jr was operating the business that current day. He was pretty knowledgeable of the business, how to throw axes & he even supported helping throw them & showing us how. Overall this is a great place to either bring the kiddos ages 12 and up, great for teenagers, adults and date night or even a work event. They also play music.
