The pizza literally fell apart as you picked up a slice and the taste was atrocious, basically raw. The alfredo had a sour taste. The salad was wilted. The order taker was helpful and patient, gave a reliable estimate of delivery time, and warned us that we'd need cash or card at delivery. We had the Lions Feast, and it was good. Lots of meat, meaty cheese, a little light on sauce. The crust was chewy and took me back to pizzas of my youth. Pizza was fine, but service wasn't. When I ordered over the phone I asked if they had curbside pickup, I was told I could come in to get my order. I asked if I could pay over the phone, she said it would be easier for 'them' if I came in and paid. I pressed as I didn't want to spend much time inside. Some of the best pizza we have had in years! (And we eat pizza regularly.) They have any awesome variety on the menu, great crust, are really generous with the toppings, and reasonably priced. Wow! I called Sahara's Pizza to have a pie delivered like I have many times before. On this occasion the self identified owner/manager happened to answer the phone. I cannot remember the last time I was treated so rudely. They wouldn't honor my coupon or deliver a pizza to my house. The "owner" said he was done with our conversation and that was that. I went down there in person today to see if I could talk to the owner/manager and to my surprise I received the same level of rudeness and disrespect I encountered over the phone. This place is located on the main street near safeway just off I-84 in The Dalles. This is one of only a few mom and pop type pizza places in this town that i know of. I went here for lunch and ordered a standard cheese pizza with a few toppings. The guy behind the counter taking my order was real friendly and talkative. The service was not too bad, and the prices were not bad either. It was the crust that was not that great. I don't want to say it was like cardboard, but it was not very good.
