My first time visit to Pietro's at their new Reynolds Ranch location (since their move in Nov 2025) and I was blown away by how gorgeous the restaurant, bar, atrium, and kitchen are! Elegant, spacious, and so well-designed that our table at the back room had privacy and a muted quietness yet didn't feel cut-off from the overall vibe of the restaurant. I imagine even the acoustics were accounted for in its build so that it wouldn't sound like a gym auditorium. My friends and I arrived around 9 pm on Saturday evening and were seated after a short wait. Both the waitress and assistant (?) kept a watch on our table so we were very well-taken care of. We all loved the warm focaccia bread and seasoned butter. Our entrees were delightful and delicious: chicken piccata was moist and flavorful, pappardelle with oxtail ragu was cooked perfectly al dente with a rich sauce, the super special pizza was covered in tasty toppings and slightly sweet chili honey on a chewy parmesean crust. We each chose a different dessert and those were all great in their own ways: spumoni, butterscotch budino, lemon olive oil cake, and torta cioccolato. I'm glad to know that the restaurant has been able to continue providing a similarly high quality of food and care that they've been known for for decades at their spectacular new location. I'm sure they gain new fans on a regular basis!
What a fun beautiful Italian spot! Our waiter was Reggie who was terrific and very knowledgeable versed on the main menu, adult drinks and wines selections - we very much appreciated that! He was personable and made good recommendations on food options. I had a Mamma Mia, that hit the spot. Chef and our server Reggie all get 5-star ratings, we never had to request for anything and our drinks/water was always refilled. The outside patio with fireplace was just as beautiful as the inside of the restaurant. We decided to share dishes because we wanted to try a few things. Ceasar salad was light and fresh, small dish as expected. Salad was on the large side. Lasagna was to perfection. All pasta is of course freshly made. Chicken parmesan was delicious! The NY strip steak sandwich speechless, grilled and season too perfection! The star of the evening! Had a local vibe, but also intimate and romantic. We had no reservations, but I would suggest on making it the next time because I see they can be very busy any day of the week. One of the best authentic local Italian restaurants that I have been too. I could write a book, but rather let's just say 4 people stated "let's go there again tomorrow". The service, personal touch, food, wine and dessert were all magnificent and worth every penny. Till next time, thank you!!
I came here for lunch. I made reservations for four of us. We arrived and found a parking spot just fine. It was just noon. I checked in and they seated us right away. We were lead to the bar area and sat in front of the bar. The table chairs were kind of weird, low seated and no backing on the chairs. One of my friends had not arrived yet. The assisting server got our drink orders and said or server would be coming by. I thought the bartender would come out and assist us but he never left the bar. There was no one at the bar at this time. I didn't see him make a drink for most of the time. Our drink orders came from somewhere in the back of the restaurant. It took for ever for the drinks to arrive. While we were waiting for our main server the last of my friends arrived. Soon after our server did too. She took my friends drink order and left, we had been catching up and didn't want to order before my last friend was ready. It was so weird that the last friend's drink arrived soon after but the ones we ordered 10 minutes ago hadn't arrived. Service was really slow here and it wasn't even that busy. Especially by the bar. Maybe 4 tables taken up. Our server was gone a long time before she came back to finally get our order. Our drinks finally arrived but one of my friends had gotten 2 drinks and the Arnold Palmer wasn't with our drinks. So when some random server walked by I asked them about it. It was great that we were catching up with each other because the food took a little bit and they didn't bring the food out at the same time. It was piece mealed which was strange too. Finally all of us were eating. Two of them had gotten a fried chicken plate and it was good. I got the fish special salmon over risotto and I loved it. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I was so happy the food was amazing as it usually is. One of us got the steak sandwich and I was surprised that it was bare. Just the steak and that was it. no lettuce or tomato and anything added. Kind of sad looking but the steak was really good. Had to have the server check on the Arnold Palmer and it finally came. The server rarely came to check on us. I had to always remind someone to refill my iced tea. I should of asked them when we were being seated to sit in the main dinning room instead of the bar area. I never sit here and I did make a reservation. The main dinning room wasn't full when we arrived. So disappointed in the service. I guess you live and learn to skip seating here. It would of been faster if we all sat at the bar itself since the bartender wasn't doing much and never left the bar. I'm sure the service would of been better. I didn't give them a 2 star because of the good food. But service was a 2 star . So lacking and not their standard.
The food was absolutely delicious. Very tasty. I love the sauce. Had a nice lemon flavor but very buttery. I like the pieces of bacon in this clamp pasta. Service was very friendly. I like that they kept our Waters refilled and they have endless sparkling water to pour. And the ambiance was absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to trying this place out again.
Wow wow wow!!! The new location is absolutely stunning! Massive space, beautiful dining room, decent outdoor dining space and it was jumpin'. We were seated in the outdoor dining area at what is basically a tiny coffee table. Very odd choice considering the portion/plate sizes but I'm sure they have experience and know when you seat a two top at a tiny table you gotta hustle to clear plates. We sat down and noticed the previous guests check on the table. We called the kid who rushed us to our table to take it and he said "oh. I'm not allowed to touch that. Your server will take it asap though." Okay. Drink waitress comes to take our drink order and stares right at the check. Nothing. She leaves it. Our waitress arrives about 10 minutes in and starts with her speech and doesn't even notice the check until she's halfway through her speech. Indicative of the lack of experience with a very young staff. She tries to grab it as if we haven't been looking at it for 10 minutes. We order appetizer and salads and all 3 dishes arrive at the table at roughly the same time. No pacing, nobody watching tables to actually see when to fire orders. How am I going to enjoy a cold salad while the meatballs sit there and freeze? What are we doing exactly? I'm rather irritated at this point in this disastrous meal. We finish our salad and have no room to put these plates so it's now becoming a headache and I'm working my ass off to clear dishes. We ask dude if he can take the dishes and he says he will be right back. Crickets. Server drops off our entree and doesn't even think to grab the 5 empty plates. What. Are. We. Doing?!? I had to yell to her and ask her to clear plates! She doesn't. The food is really good. The meatballs, despite being ice cold now, have really nice flavor. A bit dense and heavy but not the end of the world. We split the veal saltimboca and sadly it was not good. The veal was not pounded thin so it's chewy and the bites are just difficult to eat. The prosciutto and sage were fried and placed on top as garnish. I swear it's supposed to be a stuffed veal dish but okay. What a terrible veal preparation because obviously it's supposed to be pounded thin and that seems to be an afterthought here. It's served with risotto and folks, that is not risotto. The watery sauce mixed with the broken veal sauce was just a mess. Come on! Do better! We finish our meal and I order an espresso shot. The server literally slides the saucer and cup on the table WITHOUT CLEARING THE DISHES!!! she just slides it into the pile of dishes and dips. So, I see the problem here. Y'all grew too fast and now they are doing so well that training staff or hiring experienced staff is not a priority. That's not how you operate a restaurant and definitely not a restaurant of this size. Manager needs to do some serious training cause this is an absolute embarrassment and completely uncomfortable dining experience. I get it. Everyone wants to be successful and run a profitable restaurant. But, you've also decided to slap the customers in the face to get there. This was really embarrassing and this is another example of why I hate when restaurants get too big and standards and quality is dismissed for profit. Damn. What a shame. Dreadful service, an IDGAF attitude by all the teenagers working here. Just not what I expected from a family owned shop that's been killin it forever.
Came here for an evening dinner. It was pleasantly surprised by the ambience. You are surrounded by an open kitchen, a well stocked, beautiful, looking bar with an immense selection of alcohol, friendly staff that seem to be bustling and hustling yet friendly. We were seated where we could see the open kitchen pretty well and it took a while for us to get our orders in but once we did got them back pretty timely seeing us how it was pretty busy. I tried the cioppino and was a little surprised it didn't come with a spoon, but it was delicious and pretty filling. I even had some leftover for a to go container. We came pretty close to closing, but we were able to get our food and drinks and didn't feel rushed. All in all is good experience and I will probably come back. The highlight was definitely the espresso martini and dessert. I got the gelato, caramel and chocolate, and it was a really good size and was really good taste wise. The espresso martini was strong and really good.
My family and I came here today after hearing so many great things about it, and OMG, let me tell you--the complimentary bread was DELICIOUS I would honestly come back just for the bread! We also ordered the mussels and calamari. The mussels in the tomato sauce they came in were absolutely delicious! I was worried I wouldn't like the calamari because I'm not a fan of steak-cut calamari, but it was soooo good! You could really tell it was freshly breaded and fried. We also ordered the M&M pizza and the Super [something--I forgot the name ]. Both pizzas were crispy, with a moist and soft crust. 5/5 pizza! For dessert, we got the tiramisu and chocolate gelato, and both were really good. The chocolate gelato is HUGE and definitely shareable. The restaurant is super cute! I recommend sitting outside for a different atmosphere. We didn't realize the outdoor patio was still enclosed, so we ended up sitting inside. I wish we had sat outside! The service was okay. Our server was nice, but between the assistant server and our server, there were a few times when we felt left unattended. Maybe they thought they each checked on us I definitely recommend this place, and we will be coming back!
As usual food is always so good and our server Lily and Luna were attentive, efficient, and friendly. It was my first time in their new location and it was very elegant. However, our pizza was cold. I wish it was served piping hot where the cheese was stringy. Their pizzas are good but i wish they didn't wait to serve our food all at once. The pasta was also warm, not as hot as it should have been. The spumoni ice cream was very delicious. I would have given a 5 star if only our food was served hot.
Lodi Ca.~ What an amazing restaurant! Beautiful decor in both the restaurant and the patio area! The food was just as fabulous as the decor. We started out with the deep fried zucchini. Out of this world. The breading was thin and crispy, and the dipping sauce was yummy. We had the catch of the day. It came with risotto that was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. My friend had the Parpadelle. She said it was prepared perfectly, and al dente just like she likes it. We definitely would return for some more spins around the menu. This place is an institution in Lodi. Highly recommend.
My parents were excited to take me to this place, and a trusted friend backed them up, so expectations were high going in. We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. But a restaurant is only as good as its execution, and right now the service and the food temperatures are letting the kitchen down. They just need to meet it.
We enjoyed a nice birthday dinner while visiting Lodi. First time for two of us and 2nd visit for my friend. The place was packed and energetic on a Sat evening, also a huge place with indoor and outdoor patio seating, lively bar and open kitchen. Reminded me of a Cheesecake Factory vibe. Servers were very attentive and friendly, but a bit slow. We loved the calamari starter and focaccia but the bolognese could have had a richer flavor. The corn risotto was a bit watery and not the favorite. They did do a nice note for the birthday with a small tiramisu and a candle.
Our go-to restaurant whenever we're in town. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, excellent value, generous portions, top-notch service, and wonderful ambiance, look no further. This place is hands down the best Italian food in the area. Their pastas are handmade, their pizzas are delicious, the oxtail polenta, and desserts are all so amazing. I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it tends to fill up, especially on weekends. We can't wait to dine here again!
We went to Pietro's the Saturday before Mother's Day and enjoyed their prix fixe menu. We were all so surprised by how much food was included in the meal, and all of it was delicious! The bread, butter, and cheese served before we ordered were sooo good. The butter was especially creamy and flavorful. For starters, we ordered the arancini and verdura. Both tasted freshly fried and were excellent. Next, we had the panzanella salad, and I would absolutely order it again. The mix of olives, bread, fruit, and vegetables was so fresh and delicious. For pasta, we ordered the amatriciana and gnocchi. The amatriciana had a bit of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming and was really good. The gnocchi was prepared tableside in a cheese wheel, which was really fun. As a cheese lover, I appreciated being able to ask for extra. Our mains were the chicken cacciatore and Rudy's Cut 40 oz prime porterhouse. Both were delicious! We were already incredibly stuffed by the time the mains arrived, which were also served with delicious potatoes and green beans. They weren't listed on the menu, so we were pleasantly surprised to receive them. For dessert, I ordered the gelato pie while the rest of my party ordered the tiramisu. Everyone really enjoyed the tiramisu, and I loved my gelato pie. We were completely stuffed, but somehow still found room for dessert! Luckily, we were able to pack up our leftover pasta, potatoes, green beans, steak, and chicken. We all ended up making another meal out of the leftovers the next day. We were so satisfied and pleasantly surprised by how much food was included that we're really hoping they do something similar for Father's Day so we can come back for more!
Fantastic food, vibes and service here at Pietro's! Prior to tying the knot, we needed to look for a place to host our rehearsal dinner and stumbled upon Pietro's. The place was packed but we planned ahead by making a reservation to confirm if we liked the food or not. Coming from the Bay Area with high standards (lol!), this place is a solid choice for Italian food! We decided to host our rehearsal dinner with 30 people and rented out the Wine Room to have a private space for our family and friends! It was an AMAZING experience. I worked with Nicholle Hawkins and she really made the experience planning the rehearsal so seamless. There is a F&B minimum depending on the locations you want to rent out. But that just means more food and variety for you and your guests to try! Just to name some of the foods we tried... Woodfired pizza Barbabietola Salad Rigatoni Amatriciana Catch of the day Pork Milanese Budino Everyone was soooo full by the end and we had so many delicious leftovers. We all opted in for the open bar at top shelf which is why we were too full to finish a lot of the food hahaha. Thank you, Pietro's team for helping my husband and I have a seamless rehearsal experience. This will forever be our go to spot when we return to Lodi! read more
So this was our first time here and we came for our anniversary and you will definitely want a reservation for this place, it gets BUSY. Once we arrived the host gave us a happy anniversary card which was a nice touch and we were brought to a booth/table which was perfect setting for the night and we proceeded to order a lot of food, drinks, and the complimentary bread. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was delicious from the appetizer meatballs to the wafer on the gelato. Everything was incredible and our waitress was really nice and personable. Please make sure you make reservations ahead of time because it was packed on a weekday. Valet was so packed that we couldn't even do that. Parking is very limited. I had a park at the hotel parking. Service was great. We had a few people attend our table and check on us. They should have larger water cups because I felt like I kept asking for water. Food came out promptly after ordering. Everything was pretty good. They didn't have fish that night which was a bummer. I highly recommend the fried chicken and the pasta. Pizza was pretty good. It's a thin crust and the sauce is great. The steak was seasoned right but must have it medium so it's not dry. I really like what they did to this place. It's nicely decorated. The architecture was nice with a different feel in each section. They have an outdoor covered patio with a water fountain, they have an area with a fireplace, a section for the bar area, and a section near the kitchen. For dessert, I had the chocolate tortilla which was like a moose pie. I really enjoyed it. The poor to the glass of wine I ordered was very small, which was a bit disappointing. It's agreat place to have dinner after winetasting, celebrate a birthday, or just have a nice dinner. read more
We visited the new location for the first time on a Monday at 6pm. We made reservations in advance for a group of 6 for a birthday dinner. Let's start with parking. The old Pietro's had horrible parking and so does the new location. We drove around 3 times looking for a space, and there were none available. We finally decided to park across the street at Pet Smart, which wasn't the best street to walk across at night. The staff were very nice, especially our server. The new location is a lot larger, but it is very very noisy in the dining area! I was told the courtyard is much quieter, but we couldn't get reservations in that area. As usual, the bread and garlic butter were delicious. I ordered the special, which was salmon with risotto. My dinner was delicious, very lemony sauce which I love and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan with pasta and vegetables, he hated it! My husband isn't a picky eater, but for him to leave more than half of an entree I know he doesn't like it. He said the chicken tasted like it was cheap frozen chicken and was also dry. He did eat the spaghetti and green beans. Two people in our group ordered pizza, they were a really good size, two people can definitely share one pizza. The mussels were VERY small. I was told that the gnocchi was delicious with a great cheese sauce. There is a $30 per bottle corkage fee. read more

Loved the atmosphere and the food was a 1000% and the service outstanding. Everyone and everything was fantastic I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. Went with friends we had Lasagna, meatballs with a meat sauce and bread to die for. The table focaccia bread and the butter was out of this world. Made reservations for my brothers bday and it was such a beautiful dinner. The building is so beautiful and they even have an outdoor garden full of herbs. The inside did not look like what I expected it was better than I imagined. Pietros is located near the costco & they even offer valet parking. Upon walking in it was decorated so beautiful for Christmas & the restaurant was so clean and pristine. From the booth colors to the floor tiles the decor def popped. Christmas music was playing which was such a vibe. The bar looked very nice and we sat in the main dining room by the kitchen & pizza oven. Any place I eat that has a pizza oven I always opt in for a pizza! We started with the house salad, bruschetta & minestrone soup. My mom and bro loved the bruschetta it was my brother's first time ever having it and we cleared the whole plate, super refreshing. My mother ordered the lasagne which is her favorite dish here and she said she loved the pizza. My brother ordered the market cut steak with big shrimp prawns. He let me try both and the steak melted in my mouth & the shrimp had so much flavor it was really good. From looking at yelp Photos prior to me coming I am so glad I went with the Ripieni. The color screams Christmas & it was def comfort food because I was so warm and stuffed after. The pizza had the perfect crust and under carriage def a must try! Is there a 10 star, 20 star, 100 star option? I have to confess that this is our favorite restaurant! We finally ventured out to take a look at their new space and enjoyed some excellent comfort food. We ordered our favorites and snuggled into one of the new booths. We ooohed and aaahed over all of the beautiful touches in the extravagant space. Dakota took excellent care of us! Everything just came together beautifully as it does on every visit we've ever had to Pietro's. Of course we'll be back. You'll never get rid of us. We can't wait for the new space to open! read more

I love eating at piertos. Food is always great, however there has been a few times when I've gotten the Rosie's pollo inside looks a little pink still. Aside from that pastas, steak, pizza, and desserts are all good! Love their complimentary bread and the halibut or scallops over risotto. Service is great. Usually wait times are long if you decide to walk in. Better to make a reservation ahead of time. Also parking is still a little packed even though they have a new location. read more

After waiting six months to try this highly recommended restaurant, I finally made it there multiple times, first two times they had over an hour wait. I never made reservations because it was a last minute thing, and I wasn't in a rush. The 3rd time I settled for takeout on Mother's Day, but they weren't even taking orders because they were so packed. All of this made me want to try this food even more. The following day I ordered take out, chicken and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, they call it a different name, but that's basically what it is. All that anticipation to be highly disappointed, I literally requested my money back from my friend who's been recommending this for the last 6 months. The presentation was lacking, the chicken looked boiled thrown at the bottom with noddles on top and a couple of boiled shrimp tossed haphazardly over the noodles. Here's the crazy part I know three people who speaks very highly of this restaurant and when I showed them this picture of my food they were so confused, which pissed me off more, because they said their chicken is beating cut theirs parsley thrown over their food, I'm just overall confused on what happened to my food. Inside very beautiful definitely suitable for a date, and their customer service was A-1. Which is why I gave 3 stars. I wish I had a better experience. read more
Birthday Dinner Dinner reservations with my best friend for my birthday. We came on a Friday night and it was extremely busy but I can absolutely see why. Food was really good and wait staff were really attentive and friendly. For an appetizer, we got Bruschetta. It was really refreshing and just so so good. The tomatoes were fresh and the bread was nice and crispy. I got the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti on the side. I can't recall what my drink's name was but it was basically a margarita. Then for dessert, I got tiramisu which was amazing. Definitely a great place for any type of celebration or even a nice date. The patio was nice with low lights which set the mood. read more

I don't think I've ever written a restaurant review quite like this one. Pietro's has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, but after last night, it genuinely feels a little bit like home. I came in for a date and unfortunately ended up getting stood up. What could have been an incredibly awkward and embarrassing night somehow turned into a night I will never forget -- entirely because of the incredible people at Pietro's. My server, Antoinette, was truly an angel. From the beginning, she was so warm, genuine and kind, and made me feel so cared for. Before I knew it, the entire staff seemed to be checking in on me and making sure I was okay. One of the waiters even quietly took care of my entire meal, and Scott, their sommelier, came over to introduce himself and treated me to a glass of wine. Aaron their GM even came over introduced himself and checked in on me. By the end of the night, I was in tears because I was so overwhelmed by the genuine kindness I was shown. They took what could have been a really embarrassing moment and turned it into one of the sweetest, most memorable nights. I've eaten at countless restaurants and have never experienced this level of genuine care. It went so far beyond good hospitality. They treated me like a friend, and I left feeling incredibly loved with giving hugs all around. Antoinette and the entire Pietro's team: thank you. You have no idea how much last night meant to me. As crazy busy as it was as they finish there last week at this location, we had Amazing service, and delicious food. It's a bit loud in there with everyone trying to get in. Our server was in training with a more senior server. Both were amazing. Our drinks never went dry, and tonight I enjoyed an espresso martini and a glass of Pinot with my amazing dinner special (New York Steak and Prawns over polenta) If you haven't tried the ricotta dip with infused balsamic reduction, tomatoes and basils with the bread you're missing out. Hubby got the lasagne, had a bite, and it was delicious. I can't say enough!!! We will definitely be trying out the new location. read more
I wanted to have a fancy dinner with my bestie since it's her birthday. I surprised her by bringing her here. The place looks amazing. It looks newer than before. This is my 3rd time here and the location changed so much. More contemporary style of interior but with a hint of Italian with wine cellar and a big oven brick on the wall. Separated in the bread/pasta making department on the side. While chefs are cooking with each order for the customers. Every staff here are helpful and attentive. Gave recommendation which food is good and our server made my besties custom made pasta with pesto sauce and what ever ingredients she told them to put. It's not even on the menu. I will definitely come back here and recommend this place to everyone. Come check it out and my orders. read more
Wow! I have to say one of the best Italian restaurant I've been to by far! We were seated outdoors for brunch and it was just perfect and not too busy on a Sunday. They served complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was soo good! We then ordered the eggs in purgatory, super special pizza, side of fried and the gelato pie for dessert. Must try! Super special pizza ($22): the pie was a bit too soggy in the center but I love how saucy the pizza was. Crust was unique with parm shavings! Pepperoni was also really good with a bit of spice to it! I love how the pizza are not doughy at all! Perfectly thin! Fries ($7): thick cut fries but salted perfectly. Only wish it was crispier on the outside. It came with side of ketchup. Gelato pie ($14): this months flavor is peach and amaretto. So good! It was refreshing and not too sweet, just the perfect amount of sweetness! It's made in house and I can tell they use fresh ingredients! Have been here 3 times since the reopening, and most recently for my wedding anniversary. They were thoughtful enough to comp dessert and drink! Loved that and I always appreciate great customer service. I've only sat in outdoor patio area and the ambience is so nice, not hot or cold in colder or warmer months. Would always select it as an option. The kids pizzas are HUGE so maybe share with your child if that's an option (would be my only suggestion) food is always delicious each time I've gone. My friend was like you know what let's ditch the men and go have girl dinner! Yes, say less. We drove out to Lodi and arrived at the outside vibes of Italy. Almost like transported. We did not have a reservation and was almost turned away. *Angelica like music plays. Three seats at the bar were open. We will take them! My drink was never empty! The bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar *chefs kiss. Gnocchi was delicious clouds of joy! Meatballs on point. We loved everything! We were too full for dessert but I bet it would be delicious! Pietro's in Lodi was an absolute delight from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting--one of those spots that instantly makes you want to settle in, order a glass of wine, and stay awhile. I tried the Funghi Pizza, and wow--easily one of the best mushroom pizzas I've ever had. It came loaded with two kinds of mushrooms, porcini and portobello, giving it this deep, earthy flavor that paired beautifully with its focaccia-like crust and melty fontina cheese. You can tell they use quality ingredients and actually care about what they're serving. The barbabietola salad (I hope I'm remembering that name right!) was fresh, colorful, and really tasty--beets, greens, a little tang, and just the right amount of dressing. It paired perfectly with the pizza. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our waitress had great energy and made the whole experience even better. I've been to Pietro's a few times now and always leave happy, and this visit was no exception! This time I brought the family to celebrate an anniversary, and everyone had a wonderful time. We ordered the New York steak, meatball sandwich, Jimmy salad, and chicken parmigiana. I couldn't pass up the beef minestrone soup--it was hearty, flavorful, and hit the spot. The sourdough bread to start was warm and delicious, especially paired with their vinegar and oil. The steak could have used just a little more seasoning (salt and pepper would have brought it up a notch), and the chicken on the Jimmy salad would have been even better warmed up. That said, the dishes were all satisfying and well-prepared. Who knew they don't offer any steak or hot sauce? To top things off, because of our special occasion, we were treated to a serving of tiramisu that was sweet, creamy, and a perfect way to end the meal. Our waitress, Kate, was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Overall, a great experience as always. Service was amazing and the food was great. The ambiance is very nice & you can see the chefs cooking from anywhere in the restaurant. It's a really nice place for celebrations, anniversaries, etc. The braised oxtail melts in your mouth, while the arugula adds that "spice" into your bite. The walnuts also compliment the flavors as well. The cioppino was to die for! It was our first time having it (ever) and it was well worth the wait. It comes with sourdough that you can dip into the tomato stew. Nothing was fishy, everything tasted very light. The complimentary bread & butter they give you is also a highlight of the meal. Don't forget to ask for balsamic vinegar & oil, too. Drinks were good, but strong! The Mona Lisa was our favorite. Dessert (not pictured) was also great. Pietros is one of the best restaurants in the valley, easily. Tonight was our first time trying the new location since they moved. They were packed at 6:30ish when we got there, which is not at all unusual for them. The wait was only 30 minutes but we decided to sit at the bar and have dinner since there were seats available there. The new building is beautiful. The ceilings are extra high and the decor echos the old restaurant but grander and with much more room for guests. The food was also fantastic. They're serving their bread with cute little pots of herbed butter instead of the olive oil and balsamic they used to serve with it. We ordered the calamari appetizer, a bowl of minestrone, a New York strip med rare, and pork Milanese. Very happy to report that the food is exactly the same level of perfection. The one thing that I did notice a shift in was the level of service. It was polite, welcoming, and full of smiles, but it was also lacking slightly when it comes to attentiveness compared to the old location. We had to ask for a second round of cocktails after our glasses sat empty for 10-15ish minutes. The bar was busy, but there were 4 people behind the bar and we had to ask 3 times for another round- while sitting feet away from all 4 of them. Our bread didn't come until we were almost finished with our starters. We ran out of bread before our entree's came but the bar was slammed so we didn't have an opportunity to ask for more and it wasn't noticed by the bartenders. After our entree's were dropped we asked for more bread and had to ask two more times after that as the first two people forgot even after the rush slowed. There was a lot of social interaction happening with a lot of the staff and I think with a little effort this could be easily resolved. Overall, the minor issues won't stop us from returning as they only recently moved and need time to work out the kinks from hiring new staff. read more

HONEST REVIEW-- I had my birthday dinner here last night & honestly was disappointed. (This place had been recommended by family) We did have reservations, we waited around 15-20 min more to be seated once we got checked in. The waitress was very attentive, & a man there (didn't get his name) was also attentive! So customer service is a 7/10 The place is nice, it is aesthetically pleasing, it is hugeeee, parking was somewhat difficult to find. I ordered the lasagna as it was my first time here due to recommendations. I was VERY disappointed. It was not a bad dish. BUT it was mid. I feel like Olive Garden tastes better. For it to be an Italian restaurant it was not great. Their Spanish steps cocktail was 10/10! Very refreshing and delicious Their Mama Mia cocktail was disgusting. I sent it back it tasted like soap. Their bread is delicious when warm but once it's cold it gets very hard which got cold really quick. The garlic butter was delicious 10/10 Tried the pepperoni pizza & it was mid as well. 5/10 They took 1 hour from when we had been seated to get our food out once we had ordered it. Honestly this place is cute. But the foods not great. So it doesn't even matter how aesthetically appealing the place is when they serve mid food. read more
I recently heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and since I was in the area with my kids, we decided to come here for late lunch. I ordered their chicken parmigiana, my eldest ordered their special which was the ripieni, my other daughter ordered their kids spaghetti and my youngest got the chicken parmigiana as well. Food was great. I actually enjoyed my chicken parmigiana. I thought the service was great , our server, Daniel was attentive but it did get busy and there was a moment where he forgot to come back to fill our water after we requested for it a few minutes prior. Went there with old classmate and his girlfriend. They had never been there. I was surprised since I live out of town and they were 20 mins away from restaurant. I recommend getting reservations ahead of time very busy. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the chicken Parmesan and had the gelato pie for dessert. This was our second visit, and we chose to celebrate my husband's birthday. Both the food and service here are consistently exceptional! The entire team, including the manager, takes such genuine care of every guest, even when the restaurant is fully booked. You can really feel their warmth and professionalism. Really struggled not to knock this to three stars tonight. Ribeye was about 1/4" thick, over cooked and lacked flavor. Probably the worst ribeye I've had. Our server let our drinks sit empty for more than 15 minutes twice. New building is still great though. Parking sucked. Just really disappointed and probably taking a break for a while. I had been to their old location, new location is spacious and comfortable!... Homemade focaccia with the garlic butter is to die for!... Pictured is the Pork Milanese... Two boneless pork chops cooked perfectly with a bed of Arugula served on top!... Side of perfect fingerling potatoes... Pork chops were very tasty and tender!... Forgot to mention we started with an order of Calamari Fritti... served with delicious Marinara! Jen was our server and she was very welcoming and attentive! Yes, they have a very good pesto dish! Everything they make is so delicious! I highly recommend. We go every other week at least, and they never disappoint.
