    Pierozek Summer Grill Bowl
    Oneya O.

I ordered Pierozek from Uber Eats just as snow was starting to fall. I needed comfort food and it delivered! I got the Pierozek Grill Bowl with cheese and potato pierogi. The pierogi were well made and tender. The kielbasa provided little flavor bombs throughout the dish and the veggies were so flavorful! Plus there was this delicious pickle to top it all off. I'm not a huge eater, but this was enough for me to munch on for three meals. Loved it!

I was in the neighborhood and decided to try Pierozek. For a Saturday night, the wait wasn't bad at all. Once inside, I was surprised by how much space the restaurant had and it looks so different from the outside. They're known for their authentic handmade pierogies. I ordered the summer grill bowl mix which is only served on weekends. It comes with six pan fried pierogies of your choice, grilled kielbasa, roasted yellow and green squash, red bell peppers, caramelized onions, garlic, rosemary, and roasted corn. I went with three meat and three potato and cheese. I also tried the Murray's cheese as a separate order. Definitely worth it. They had run out of the Paulie Gees's Pizza Pierogies combo so have to come back for that. For dessert, I had the homemade waffles topped with mixed berries and homemade whipped cream. Everything was delicious. I would go back again.

Pierogis - such a staple in Polish / Ukrainian cuisine. If you don't know what they are, I hope you at least heard about them peripherally in Gossip Girl when Dan Humphrey and Vanessa Abrams frequently mention eating pierogis together. There's really a few key options for great pierogis in NYC: Pierozek, Karczma, Veselka, and Streecha. I rank the pierogis in that order exactly - with Pierozek being truly the best of the spread, and also with Michelin designation for a few year running - consecutively! The prices are very reasonable (not common in NYC restaurant scenes), and it truly feels like authentic home-cooking and comfort food. From the savory pierogis, beef stew (cabbage mix), and the croquette, it was all perfectly cooked. Tons of flavors, wonderful textures, and great service. I DoorDash from this place often, but the restaurant is also super cozy with a great ambiance! A true Greenpoint favorite and staple - I'm a frequent customer who will come time and time again.

Super sweet people and heavenly pierogis. Also ordered the borscht and the portions were great! Loved the potato/cheese and the Tatarskie pierogis. Got two beers for the price of one during happy hour!

This place is sooo good! I've come here multiple times and love it every time. I've tried all of their savory pierogis and they're all delicious - authentic and homemade. I prefer the cheese and potato ones boiled and meat ones fried, but that's just personal preference. Their kielbasa and stuffed cabbage are also delicious! They don't take reservations but I've come here with groups of 2-5 and have always been seated right away. They also have a great BOGO beer and wine happy hour 4-7pm Monday through Friday.

Michelin guide Polish restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg! Tried the savory mix of 6 pierogis for $15 - potato&cheese and tatarskie (dill, bacon and potato) and it was the perfect afternoon snack for my group of 3. Soo good!! Friendly service and beautiful ambiance.

I came in here the other night as I've heard good things. Thankfully there wasn't a wait for a table, and the staff was lovely. The menu is very straightforward with pierogis as the prominent item alongside other traditional polish offerings. The space itself is warm and inviting, and there was a guitar player at the front which was an added touch. I got the cheese and potato pierogis and while they were good, they didn't blow me away and I don't know that I would come out of my way to get them again.

I LOVE BEING POLISH!!! So freaking good, incredibly authentic, kind Polish hospitality with the servers. Loved it here! Got the Pierozek Grill Bowl which came with 6 Ruskie Pierogi (potato and cheese), Kielbasa, Grilled Zucchini / Squash, Red Peppers, Corn, and Pickles. Served alongside sour cream and a yogurt-dill sauce. Very delicious, modern take on Polish food and the bowl was so cute too, reminds me of my Grandma's kitchenware.

Great place for pierogi in Greenpoint. Pretty reasonably priced for bib gourmand. My friend and I ordered two split plates on order to try four total types of pierogi. My favorite was the Murray's Cheese variety, especially since it comes topped with bacon and green onions. The pork was pretty good too, almost like Kalua pork. The Pierogi Tatarskie was also pretty tasty, especially if you like dill. Potato and cheese was very classic. Wish I tired the Paulie Gee's pizza flavor! Would definitely come back!

We lived in Brooklyn in the summer of 2021 and Pierozek is the only restaurant that we've been dreaming about since returning to LA. Finally had the opportunity to dine here again and it was just as fantastic as I'd remembered. Michelin star well deserved! I get the cabbage roll with tomato sauce and the potato and cheese pierogis. Their cutlery is beautiful, and I got tea to go along with the food. The prices are still reasonable, service is great, and food is phenomenal. It's always worth the trip when in New York!

This was my first time having pierogis. This spot was so cute, clean, menu was comprehensive and not overwhelming. I was recommended to try the cheese & potato first; which were a generous 6! There was a side of sour cream and sour cream with dill. They were so delicious and filling I only got through half. I ended up ordering other pierogis to go (Bacon & jalapeño and pork), which were also delicious. The staff were friendly smiling and attentive. Menu reasonably priced. They have a cute back patio lots of seating indoor; clean, cute and id definitely come back!

Pierozek is a lovely restaurant that serves amazing Polish food! I saw at the restaurant that they're actually a Michelin star restaurant, which was exciting and unexpected! I ordered the savory pierogies mix ($15) where you got to choose two - I went with potato/cheese and mushrooms/sauerkraut! They were served topped with caramelized onions and alongside two sauces that resembled sour cream or yogurt! One was flavored with dill I believe, and one was plain. The pierogies themselves were awesome, they are made in house and you could tell. There was also a surprisingly large amount of filling in each one. My friend ordered the vegetarian borscht and it was very delicious and flavorful. It was a perfect complement to the pierogies. We were seated outside in their back garden, which was lovely. The restaurant also had the cutest dish-ware, and our waitress was very nice and attentive.

This was a surprising gem that I hadn't heard of. Pierozek has an understated small store front, though the Michelin Bib Gourmand sticker on the door warns you not to underestimate the place. For me, pierogies were something I was introduced to in college, doughy dumplings that were astonishingly filled with potatoes and cheeses. I liked that Pierozek was serving Polish food in the middle of Greenpoint, a neighborhood that used to be the center of Polish community in NYC. Pierozek has all the traditional flavors, but they were also offering some newer flavors that were smartly put together. I'm not a fan of borscht, but we started off with some. We got the traditional potato and cheese pierogies, some mushroom pierogies, and the Murray's cheese ones. It was easy to mix and match. They are quite hefty, though, so we were stuffed full by the time we thought we'd order some of the sweet options. Maybe next time. The restaurant was so cozy with its cute pierogie cushions and smart seating in its narrow body. The server was very attentive and helpful with their suggestions. I saw a handsome espresso machine and wished we had saved room for dessert and coffee. I'd love to try them next time I return to the only Polish American restaurant with a Michelin approval!

We were the only people in the restaurant the entire time, though there were a few delivery orders. The restaurant has a homey interior, with callouts to their historic presence in Bay Ridge. We ordered the chicken klopsiki ($15.65) and the Hungarian pancakes ($20). Each dish comes with a house salad, which consists of red cabbage, sauerkraut, cole slaw, beets, shredded carrots, and lettuce. The salad had nice flavors and tasted fresh! I really enjoyed the chicken klopsiki, which is a chicken meatball. The meatball was moist, and the sauce had a nice flavor, like chicken soup. The only downside was that the mashed potatoes had no flavor and tasted like powdered mashed potatoes. I liked the flavor of the Hungarian pancakes, but the ratio of pancake to filling was heavily skewed toward the pancake, which was just fried potato with minimal flavor. Therefore, I would pass on the pancakes and just get the goulash if I decided to return. Service was okay. When I asked the server for recommendations, she wasn't enthusiastic, but I was asking generally, and I could have been more specific. She left during our meal, and we had to call someone to give us the check. So after giving us the food, service was nonexistent. Overall, I liked some parts of the dishes, but nothing was so amazing that I would be itching to return again!

Price-wise, it's very fair! And you can taste to quality and heart they put into these Pierogis. Can't go wrong with any flavor. I got the lamb and it was stuffed with tender lamb pieces, no filler. And they make for great quick meals! I also snagged a box of cabbage rolls stuffed with a pork and rice filling. Simple home-y flavor and better than rolls I've gotten from restaurants. Just reheat and it's ready to go! $15 for 5 large cabbage rolls was a great deal as well! Would get again. The only thing I wouldn't get again is their soup dumplings, as it was a bit difficult to cook and was a little too doughy near the top of the dumpling.
