This was on our 'bucket list' (yes, THIS place) when we stayed in Pittsburgh, as we never had experienced PIEROGIES before! We JUST 'squeaked in' prior to 5:30 PM when they stop selling hot food (or run OUT of food). Yes, it's THAT popular! We bought the #1 sampler with potato and cheese pierogi and also an order of the sauerkraut/potato pierogi to split. They pour a mild butter/onion sauce over the noodles and I bought extra to pour on EVERYTHING! :D My favorite was THE CABBAGE ROLL AND THE POTATO CHEESE PIEROGI. The sauerkraut pierogi had a nice mild zing to it which I also enjoyed. I do feel it is a 'must try' place and I'm thankful we did NOT miss it!

Let's start with, I will return. Orders the Sampler Platter #1 and it was packed! The Haluski was great and the cabbage roll was tasty. The pierogi was just ok. I like mine seared. I'm also not sure what the onion sauce or butter sauce is on things. I rang the bell at the window and waited a good 8 mins for someone to acknowledge me. The food was ready quickly, though.

Excellent pierogies! They were like pillows and so flavorful! Service was friendly. It will be hard to beat the taste of these pierogis. We ordered the cottage cheese with chives and the potato cheddar pierogis. Phenomenal!

Visited this shop for the first time over the summer for lunch. The staff was nice, but there was a wait to be able to order at the walk-up window. There is some outdoor seating, but it is limited. I got the #2 sampler platter to get a taste of everything. The kielbasa was good, but the haluski and the pierogi could have used a little more seasoning to add some flavor. Overall it was good to try this local spot, and would recommend for anyone looking for some homemade Polish cuisine!

What a shame. I've heard really good things about this spot and I can't say they lived up to the hype. First the lady at the register seemed very annoyed with me and when I asked for a recommendation she said "anything it's all good" Don't get me wrong the pierogis themselves were solid. The filling could be more but The sauerkraut inside the one was fucking awesome. They all were the right amount of density in the dough and cooked perfect. But that butter. It ruined it. 80% of each bite tasted like butter.. Just like Botox, more doesn't mean better The noodles in the Haluski were undercooked and SUPER lacking in the cabbage department. Needed more salt for me too. Doesn't mean I wouldn't inhale it. I paid my money !! The Halupki is insane. I do highly recommend going for that if you wanted stuffed cabbage. If you want pierogis though I have a few others I like more. I do love the location of it. It's a remodeled old gas station. That was sweet. The hours are wonky and you can only get hot food before 4, and limited to 2 entrees which I actually enjoy as well. Bonus for the dudes in the back yelling in polish Huge positive here is that it's cheap as fuck. That whole meal was $22. The sample platter was $12.99 and the Sauerkraut & Potato was $7.99. Big win there

Great spot literally on side of road in what looks like an old gas station. It's a window that you order at and then wait for your food. Limited seating and definitely a locals spot. It was full of lots of authentic polish cuisine but the best pierogi I ever had as well! Their portions are huge and prices were cheap so great value.

Best pierogis I've ever had.. Sorry, grandma! Service was very quick. I was in and out in 5 min or less. Looks like an old gas station with a couple parking spots. The dough has a perfect texture, and the fillings were packed with flavor. I got the hot sausage filling. Don't even get me started on the butter onions.. They are STRONG! Everything goes well together. I will be ordering some to heat and eat later soon!

No shortage of food here!! Amazing food & service. I can't say how much I love this more. We are from out of town and will be back!!! We just weren't a fan of parking. Alittle congested

    Dining area

This old gas station converted into Pierogies Plus. Ordered & picked up food from the window/counter. Dining/picnic tables set outside for dining in. The cabbage roll was delish - lots of meat ratio to rice & the sauce was good. I'm not too much of a pierogi person but still enjoyed my sausage pierogi & his potato ones.

Now, stop imagining, because Krakus Polish Deli & Market in Boardman, Ohio, is that magical land, and it is the holy grail of pierogies, kielbasa, and all things Polish food-related. If you haven't been yet, your taste buds are straight-up missing out. First of all, let's talk pierogies, these little pockets of heaven are to die for. Like, not even exaggerating. I tried the classic cheese and potato ones, and I'm pretty sure I saw a light flash before my eyes. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, these pierogies are so good they should be illegal. But wait--there's more! They do weekly pierogi specials, and trust me, each week is a new flavor adventure you won't want to miss. The cabbage roll; Heavenly. The sausages... Let me tell you, if there's a better kielbasa on the planet, I don't know it. The market is like a treasure chest of authentic Polish foods, we're talking everything my Polish grandfather used to keep stashed around the house, like sauerkraut pickle jars (which I'm 100% sure he got directly from the motherland), obscure teas, crunchy wafers, and probably some mysterious cured meats you didn't even know you needed in your life. And then there's the prices. I don't know how they're doing it, but you could feed an entire village of hungry Babcias (grandmas) on a budget here. Incredible value, folks. But--here's the catch--the hours are... um, "quirky." Like, if you're planning to roll up for a late-night pierogi binge, you might want to double-check their hours because they close early. It's kind of like they really want you to enjoy the pierogies, but on their schedule. So, don't be that guy who rolls in at 7:15 pm and finds the door locked. Trust me, I've been that guy. So, check the hours, make sure you're ready to dive headfirst into some of the best Polish food you'll ever eat, and prepare to have your mind--and stomach--blown. Krakus is like stepping into your Polish grandma's kitchen, if your grandma was a magical food wizard who had a secret stash of pierogies she didn't share with anyone. GO HERE. Seriously. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would.
