Let me tell you -- Pier Pizza is absolutely worth the trip. Yes, parking near the pier can be a bit of a headache, but once you find your spot and make the walk over, you'll be glad you did. Trust me on this one. The pizza itself is where this place really shines. Tons of flavor, not greasy at all, and it holds its shape with very little bend -- they call it New York style, and while the flat crust definitely nods in that direction, I'll be honest: it doesn't quite have that classic New York water taste you'd expect. But here's the thing -- it doesn't need to. The pizza stands completely on its own merits and is genuinely delicious. What I also loved is the variety. They have plenty of options ready to go, plus you can order other items off the menu beyond just pizza. They've even got soda in cans or bottles rather than fountain drinks, which honestly felt a little more old school in the best way. Speaking of old school -- the vibe inside is pure beach city charm. Divey, casual, and full of character, but don't let that fool you. The place is clean and well-organized, and the crew is constantly out there wiping down tables and keeping things fresh for every customer. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
