The views of NYC are incredible and they always have food trucks in case you are hungry. They offer great fruity drinks along with some local beers. Came to grab a drink on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time! They now have tables and it's first come first serve for their tables with a 2 hour max limit. All in all it is a part of the pier with a jetty containing a variety of food trucks followed by a bar truck and seating areas with a magnificent view of NYC. There is also pop music playing over speakers positioned along the jetty. The food menus usually land somewhere between $8-$15 dollars for entrees such as burgers and tacos. Parking can be found if you scout, but a bit more difficult within a blick away. Aside from that there are a few nearby bars and restaurants to go to after you have had your fill of the pier. Very cool spot to go DURING a date. It gets a bit windy and chilly at night even on a warm summer day so I recommend a jacket, or you can use that opportunity to offer a warm snuggle ;) read more

I have been to Pier 13 so many times in the past few years, so I am shocked to discover that I have not yet composed a review of the space. As you walk out onto the pier, there are about 5 food trucks offering a variety of gourmet street food and snacks. The participating trucks tend to rotate, but often include options like brick-oven pizza, Thai, soft-serve bananas, and more, providing something for everyone. There are several tables across from the food vendors that offer seating without entering the "bar" area of the space. Once you pass the trucks, you show your id and are ushered into the main portion of Pier 13, where you will find various picnic tables, 2 bars, and a library of board/card games, all followed by astroturf covered with casual lounge chairs. While I have previously had to sit on the fake grass or sprawl out on a lounger, during COVID-19 they are only offering table seating. Also, these tables are first-come, first-serve, are required for your stay, and are allowed only for a strict 2-hour limit. However, it was thanks to these security measures that we decided to indulge in an afternoon in the sun. In addition to the seating regulations, the menus can only be digitally viewed on your phones, and drinks are delivered to your table by masked and gloved servers. The drink menu is much more diverse than one would imagine - including a vast beer list, several types of cocktails, pitcher options, wine, and more. My historical Pier 13 beverage of choice had been their on-tap White Peach Sangria, which was a touch sweet, but super potent! However, given the high heat and humidity on my recent trip, I decided to opt for a frozen margarita...or 3...instead. The margaritas were sheer perfection - not too sugary or too tart, and certainly strong! The bar boasts about its use of natural and organic mixers, and we could tell that this margarita mix was top-notch and without additives. I also have to mention that the space offers incredible views of the Manhattan skyline and Hudson River crossings. In addition, prior to the coronavirus, there was often a live DJ playing pop music hits. The early hours tend to bring more families and groups, but as the day progresses, the place caters more to an older, more intimate crowd. We came by around 7pm on a Friday. It was a hot day, but it's definitely cooler on the pier by the water. There's some seating at the beginning of the pier that seems to be open to anyone, but most of the pier is tables where you are seated and a server comes to take your order for drinks. But if you want food, you have to go up and order from the food trucks yourself, which surprised me. They give you a wristband if you're over 21 and another wristband if you get a table. The ambiance was good - the tables have some distance between them, they play pop music throughout the night, and there are string lights around the pier. We got a bottle of the Bloody Good Time punch to share for 4 people, which was pretty tasty, and we were able to get 5-6 cups out of it. Something that surprised me was that when you sit down and order drinks, they ask for your credit card for the tab, but then take your credit card for the whole time that you're there. Be aware parking is limited so just in case you're not lucky enough to get a street parking, prepare to park in the lot and spend about $20 for a few hours. On a Thursday they had 3 food trucks and 1 dessert truck. Not too many options but we went with pizza. The drunken grandma pizza with meatballs was great. My friends hated the mushroom pizza, they said it had a fishy aftertaste. The drinks here are overpriced and underwhelming. If you order a bucket add an extra shot or save the money and order a soft drink. This place is super pricey so prepare to spend about $60 per person for your food and drinks. They also try to limit your table time so if you want to stay a while make sure you keep ordering drinks or they'll say you've reached your limit and have to give up your table. read more

I really like this particular beer garden and the only complaint (if any) would be it does get a bit packed and it can be hard to try and find a place to sit but there's always standing. This is the CUTEST most CHILL place ever! I absolutely LOVE IT HERE! It over looks New York City's downtown buildings, there's even a fountain that is on at certain times. THE VIEW IS AMAZING! Now for the more fun stuff! You have to be 21 or over to be on the pier, but children are allowed to be there with their parents. Wrist bands are given to those over 21 && of course liquor IS served. There's a "grass" area to hang out on and people even brought blankets to hang out on. At the beginning of the pier, there are benches (closer to the food vendors and bathrooms), for people to sit. The grass was at the end of the pier closer to the NYC Skyline. On the grass there are chairs to sit on, there's security and other staff keeping you comfortable and allowing you to continue enjoying yourself picking up your trash and tossing it for you. There's all type of food and liquor; it's certainly a great vibe and atmosphere. Parking is kind of rough tho, there's parking spots nearby with a $20 rate (not too bad in my opinion). Slice the price Wednesdays at Pier 13 are LIT. All drinks are half price. I found out about this awesome deal from my good friend, Valbona X. We went with a couple of friends visiting from out of state to take in views of the city and sunset on a gorgeous Wednesday afternoon. One member of our party forgot his ID, but since there were kids there, we got the staff to let him in with the condition of him not getting a wristband (which means that he could not get drinks and we would immediately be removed if he was caught drinking). They have pretty good patio seating, but it was PACKED. We did manage to get a bench on the side for our group of four. I sat on the turf until a staff member told everyone sitting that they had to stand. The bar accepts CASH ONLY. Their drink selection is small, but they are tasty. With the price sliced in half, their bottles were only $18. Each bottle had a little over 5 drinks in it. I got to try the tropical rum runner, fresh watermelon punch, and red sangria. They were all good, but the watermelon punch was especially spectacular. You could tell it was made with fresh watermelon. The drinks are also surprisingly strong. They don't taste it though so they creep up on you. Parking in Hoboken can be rough, but it's definitely worth the trip on a Wednesday. read more

The area has plenty of seating and I haven't had trouble getting seats by the bars any times I've come by. This time, we ordered the white peach sangria ($40). It's pre-made and kept in their fridge. There was enough for two cups each split between two of us. There's no infused fruit in it, which I don't mind. It was stronger than I thought it would be. Pier13 is one of Hoboken's few bars with larger outdoor space. They have amazing views, local food trucks and good drinks (no outside food allowed). It's a perfect spot for Saturday afternoon drinks, especially for groups. It's kid friendly during the day as well. We got there early enough to snag several chairs at the end of the pier but we had to stand in line for beers. No dogs allowed in the back half of the pier which we didn't know until we got there. LOVED this place! So I came here on a whim with a few friends that said this is the place to be on a Sunday. The weather was beautiful and a lot of people were out. There really was no "type" of crowd out here, you seen families with small children, young adults, older adults - kids hanging out - everything. I ended up going on the actual Pier towards the end. This is where there was music, food trucks and drinks. Once you go a little further in, there is security checking your license to make sure you are of age. There were chairs spread out and artificial green grass since there was not enough seats. In the background is New York City and on the water are people jet skiing- it was amazing! This place is a dope and awesome hangout in Hoboken. It is a must do when hanging out in Jersey with friends. The only thing is with the view, comes that hefty NYC price tag for drinks. Beers are $7, mixed drinks $14, and a one liter bottle of sangria is at $40. It's also "CASH ONLY" which isn't the greatest. If you go there, go for the atmosphere and hangout, not for the drinks. I recommend a pregame then hitting the pier. You don't want to break the bank during a hangout. Also, if you want seats, get there early Thursday through Sunday since it gets crowded fast. Pier 13 is a really nice place to visit in summer! They have food trucks and summery alcoholic beverages such as frose and cocktails. I had a "babe rose" which was really refreshing. I also had a crab cake sandwich from one of the food trucks. It was delicious! It was very expensive for how small it was but it so good and pretty filling. There's a turf, chairs on the turf for people to sit. They also have quite a few tables for groups of people to sit at.It's a really nice environment. Not sure if I would recommend bringing kids here but I did see some. I definitely want to visit again before the summer is over. read more

We got the 90 second wood fired pizza from the Pizza Vita truck. $10 for the Margherita Pizza. Big enough for 2 people, easy. Very thin and crunchy crust. Check out the dog park. There was a beautiful Great Dane Dalmatian that I couldn't help but pet!!! The crowd by the food trucks/ dog park on the pier vary from young 20-30 somethings all the way to full families. People bring their babies and dogs here and go for walks. I don't blame um' because the view of the NYC skyline is EVERYTHING! They ID ya to get into the bar/ lawn area. We got a pitcher of red sangria for $35ish. So worth it. They give you a cup of fresh fruit along with your sangria. The pier was pretty packed on a Friday night but we were able to snag a few seats. The phenomenal views of Manhattan are definitely the draw here at Pier 13. I nibbled my delightful lobster roll from Angry Archie's while admiring the skyscrapers across the river, savoring the beautiful day. Pier 13 is predominantly a bar but also offers food trucks lined up all in a row. The only dessert option seemed to be Amanda Bananas and since I don't believe in bananas as an ice cream substitute, I skipped it. Maybe if it were the Bluth banana stand, I'd reconsider. More sweet choices and just more food trucks would be cool. I believe the eats the day I went included burgers, tacos, pizzas, and seafood. Have cash on hand. Pier 13 is one of the rare places in Hoboken that fully captures the incredible views of the city - it also gives you food trucks (Luke's Lobster, Amanda's Bananas, and others - food truck options also rotate), an excuse to day drink with the full bars and specials on buckets, and a prime area for people watching (wear sunglasses - they're not just eye protection, but also side eye protection). Seats are first come, first serve and also involve a bit of vulturing and swooping in and to ask if all chairs are being used by a seated group, then slowly building your arsenal of stolen chairs so that you and your friends can have an option to not sit on the fake grass or lean against the railing. There's no rhyme or reason to when it gets crowded - I've gone on a Saturday at 6 PM and the place is packed, and on a different week on a Friday at 8 PM and it's empty - it really depends, which also adds to the potential of long lines for drinks, food, and restrooms. Overall it's a fun place to be - drink prices vary (I've always gotten the sangria for $11/glass - both white and red are delicious), but they have canned and draft beers as well, with beer specials at $4 (yesterday it was Sixpoint, it rotates). It does close at 10 PM, so be prepared to come early, leave early with a good buzz, or head to another location. Pier 13 is the drive behind that force. Located uptown on the water in Hobo, the pier provides some of the best NYC skyline views around. Whoever decided to capitalize on that view and turn this spot into a bar is a super genius. Mad props! The pier itself has a large turf area with a ton of chairs and benches which make it an ideal spot for some lazy lounging in the sun. Luckily there is an abundance of seating because this place can get packed out, especially on the weekends. Now, on to the goodies. Pier 13 has a full bar - there are lots of classic beer and wine options but the sangria and frozen drinks can really help put me in vacation / relaxation mode. The most unique part about Pier 13 are the food truck options, so come hungry and ready to try something different every time. It's like a mini smorgasburg. The usual suspects include Pizza Vita, Luke's Lobster, Thai, empanadas and meatballs. They switch it up a lot and you can usually always find something new. Most sensible people in Hoboken and surrounding areas like to spend their summer weekend days eating and drinking on the water (who woulda thought?!) and because of that Pier 13 can get curraaazzzyyy! Me and my friends stumbled upon this spot a few weeks back and feel in love. The neighbors, the dogs, and people walking around were my favorite. The atmosphere with that end of the evening vibe that really set the tone. I wasn't TOO hungry, but of coarse I love food, therefore I had to have something. We got empanadas and a cuban sandwich. I wasn't took much of a HUGE fan of the cuban sand. I guess I haven't been able to get ones like i had in Miami after I would drink or go out and lay on the beach. I loved them to death, but it was ideal. I loved the empanda flavors. NOT greasy, not soggy, and good flavors (veggies and spices). One of my new all-time favorite spots! At first I thought this was going to be like most of the NYC rooftop bars...pretty but overpriced and terrible/weak drinks. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! So far I have tried a frozen margarita and a spicy margarita and both were fantastic. Not too sweet, packed a punch and didn't taste artificial at all. They have a large cocktail selection and a wide variety of beer. When you walk in you get to choose between table service or self service. Our first time there we did table but we didn't realize that didn't include the food trucks. Our second time we did self service, which was fun because we got to walk around and enjoy the views from all angles. They have multiple bars that offer slightly different menus and a variety of food trucks that change daily. It's a very upbeat and fun place but also very relaxing and chilled out--especially the closer you are to the water. My only complaint is how strict and non-negotiable their rules are with outside food. We came here with leftovers from dinner and weren't allowed in. Our food was wrapped up from the restaurant and we had absolutely no intention of eating it. We took the ferry in from NYC so we didn't have a car or anywhere to store the food before bringing it back to the city. We wanted one more beer before heading back to NYC due to it being such a beautiful night (we had come for a drink before dinner too) but they refused to let us in with our leftovers. I respect the rule of no outside food and I'm sure many people have broken that rule, hence the strictness. However, some gray area would be nice. If I had gone to the supermarket and had a carton of oatmeal with me for the pantry would they not have let me in? I guess they will just lose our business of an after dinner drink if we have leftovers in tow. Management should really reassess how and when that rule is enforced. This is very welcome addition to Hoboken. Think Frying Pan/ Pier 66 but directly across the Hudson River to the west. This means you also get a much better view, without the crowds and overcharging. There's a great beer selection, and the atmosphere is very fun and laid back. It may be because the venue is only two months old or maybe everyone left town since it's the summer, but it wasn't too crowded which really added to the appeal. The average age was about 30 years old, with many young families and children present. The fact that there's no $2 Bud Light really helps keep away the "fist pumping" clientele. The food is from various mobile food vendors and food trucks which change daily. The night we went there was a Thai truck, a pizza truck, and a frozen banana stand (I was tempted to make an Arrested Development joke to them). You can play corn hole on the lawn or board games such as Operation and Connect Four which are set up on various tables. There are lawn chairs to relax on the grass and the music was kept at an appropriate volume to carry on a conversation. They also seem to enjoy playing music from the late 90s. Pier 13 closes early (11pm) but also opens early, as well, around noon. My only gripe was that the line for beer took about 10 minutes at one point, but at least it was an orderly line. read more

What a cool place! I really enjoyed myself on my first venture to Pier 13. Good music, tons of food trucks to choose from, a good cocktail/drink menu! It took me by surprise to learn you don't actually have to be 21 to come here. There were some families with young children enjoying the food trucks and drinks, but mostly adults enjoying the faux lawn on the back part of the pier. I ordered a coconut drink that came in an actual coconut. I saw her pour the liquor in but could barely taste it, the drink was yummy and made for an awesome pic so no complaints here just would get something different next time. LOVE LOVE LOVE it here... Came here for the 4th of July and I cant believe I haven't come here sooner. Its a pier right on the water overlooking the city. Gorgeous views and they serve alcohol and food here and music playing.. There are huge lines for the alcohol and food but the atmosphere is just so great... The best deal was to get the bottle of sangria... WE got 4 cups out of it and it was 30 bucks. Other than that, the prices are a bit extreme... They know they can pull it off... I would like to see them have beer bucket specials... that would be great... I will def. come back! read more
