Perfect place to go to on a nice summer day! This place is great for couples or friends to grab some food and drinks and just hang out. The music here is also very good! They have a couple of food trucks including a banana ice cream truck, wood fire pizza, tacos, lobster, and a bunch of different spots to grab drinks. I love Pier 13! I recently moved here and every weekend that people have visited I've made sure to make a stop here. Waterfront beer garden, sign me up. I spent a lovely Saturday here a few weeks ago. There are numerous food trucks at the entrance to the pier and an outdoor bar at the far end. We grabbed some delicious tacs and found seats at the outdoor bar. We spent about 4 hours here, enjoying the views, much and the people. The vibes were on point, and the waterfront views were unmatched. If you haven't visited Pier 13 yet, check it out before the warm weather disappears. From JC, you can the Tonnelle bound Lightrail to 9th St and walk over. PATH/Lightrail to Hoboken and jump on the 126 bus to Washington & 13th St. Traveling from NYC, take the Midtown 39th St Ferry to 14th Street in Hoboken, which puts you one pier over from Pier 13. read more

Great spot and so different! It's nice having an area that gives off summer vibes (especially since you don't have roof tops in Hoboken). Food trucks are delicious and the drinks are outstanding. The only issue--the volume of the speakers. We went at 1PM and the music was PUMPING it made it quite hard to talk to friends because the speakers are located on the fence right behind you (at table level). Seems to be a bit more quiet towards the end of the pier. read more

Fun, chill, colorful outdoor pier in North Hoboken with phenomenal Manhattan skyline views! I've been to Pier 13 a few times and the vibes change I think depending when you come visit. It's quieter/calmer earlier in the evening and during the day. I came last night around 9pm and it was more of a scene with a DJ blasting club music. It's a cool spot with a bar at the end and a variety of food trucks. Sometimes finding a table can be challenging. Lovely time here at Pier 13. Parking, as within the entire Hoboken area, is tough. So unless you plan on spending $$ on a closer parking lot or maybe a bit cheaper a little walk away, you may want to consider public transportation. We arrived at about 1:30 pm on a lovely Saturday and the place wasn't as crowded as expected. Our ID;s were checked, not as a requirement as there were kids there, but just in order to get a band so that you can purchase alcohol while on site. There are lots of small tables, picnic-style bench tables, and even some lounge chairs toward the end of the pier. Drink prices were what you'd expect from a place like this in the area...$7 for canned beer, $9 for 16 oz. drafts, $10 canned cocktails, $15-20 cocktails. I believe there are mid-week happy hour specials which may be much more worth the trip. There are a few food options there but we didn't try any of those. Outside food and beverages are NOT permitted. Smoking and/or Vaping are also prohibited. The Pier ofcourse offers some lovely views of midtown Manhattan, especially the HUdson Yards area. This is a really cool place. Up until recently it didn't even know it existed. I attended a meet-up of a bunch of people from a Rsvlts shirt group I'm in and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how cool this spot is. It is literally right on the water in Hoboken, NJ on a pier, hence the name. They have several food trucks on the premise which give you a nice variety at a not so expensive price. The prices for the drinks are not that crazy as well and they have a nice selection. Pier 13 is a must try Hoboken experience during the Summer. It is one of those experiences you don't forget your first time. The view, alcohol selection, food trucks, and atmosphere all makes this an amazing experience. They have a live Dj performing certain days and other days play popular tunes on the speakers. It does get very crowded, so get there earlier and secure a spot if you are looking to go on a weekend. As for food options, they have a variety of options such as pizza, tacos, oysters, etc. Beers are IPAs and typically go from 10-12 bucks, which is actually good given the location. Mixed drinks and margaritas will run you a bit more and are a bit overrated and overpriced in my opinion. The real reason people come here is for the breathtaking view of Manhattan. I will argue that you cannot get a better view at any location this side of the Hudson. read more

Pier 13 is a summer vibe. Date night experience was cool - it's also family friendly (games, food, sights/view). Seats are limited but you can honestly mingle w/ strangers (friendly mature crowd). Such a fun spot! I came for dinner and the beautiful views, which was nice because they had three food trucks (bbq, burritos, and taco) as well as a bar with table service for drinks. I got a chicken burrito bowl where you can add different toppings, I got lettuce, sour cream, and cheese (I wanted salsa instead but they accidentally mixed up my order). The portion was a bit smaller than what I was expecting because usually burritos are quite large, but I was okay with that. The setting was so pretty, the pier overlooks Manhattan and they have both table seating or these fun colorful chairs where a lot of people sat in circles and drank and talked. I came during the weekday around 7 pm and it wasn't too crowded which was nice, but it also started storming later so maybe it wasn't as busy as usual. Exactly what you'd expect: a bar on the pier overlooking the amazing NYC skyline. There are 3 different bars and different seating areas (high top tables, picnic benches, and lawn chairs). They also have soom food trucks before you enter and one raw food seafood truck in the back. If coming by car, parking is challenging. I lucked out w a metered street parking on 12th (4 hours for $8.50) but the lot up the block is probably the best bet and can get it for a weekday evening ~$20 (check spothero). A nice and beautiful waterfront beer garden/bar. The place open at 4 pm, the happy hour is 4-6 pm, beer selection wasn't too much, margarita was good. I loved the pizza, the oven in the car was so cute and very good in baking pizza, you have to wait until 4:30 pm to get pizza but it was worth waiting, delicious, crunchy and fresh. Just wish it was more sinus saying after you passed the checkpoint of getting your IDs and wristbands that you can't bring drinks on the other side of that to the food truck so make sure you boys and girls get your food first and then your adult drinks after. Seating was pretty easy to find. Parking was a horror story unless you're willing to pay $35 to park in the garage that I was not willing to do. I found street parking after driving around for about 25 minutes. We parked next to the soccer fields so on the way back to the car, every bathroom was locked at 8 PM and there was thousands of people walking around still so make sure you take a potty break before you leave Pier 13 besides that I'll be back for around two really enjoyed my time. Towards the end of the pier is a bar area, they have a two drink minimum. Kids are allowed as long as accompanied by a parent. Nice fresh air. People were friendly and so were their dogs. Heard about this place through a friend and immediately bookmarked it for the next time I was in Hoboken. It did not disappoint ! It is definitely a cute date spot ( to catch up with friends or chill with bae). My burger $7 was delicious and I washed it down with a peach sangria $14 ( which was also very delicious ) The food truck staff and person checking IDs were very nice and helpful HOWEVER the male bartender that served me that day lacked customer service and was not very pleasant. The tables are not very stable so if you sit on the edge or a bench it will lift off. It was also very windy that day so our napkins and other light items kept flying everywhere. The view of NYC skyline is beautiful and you can see people jet skiing out in the water. Pro-tips: - Check out the calendar on the website for the list of food trucks that are there each day. - Parking is a struggle so Uber / public transportation if you can. If not then be prepared to park a few blocks away and the metered are capped at 2 hours. If you come after 9pm then street parking is free. We went here last year to Pier 13 for the Hoboken Italian Festival. We barely made it due to so much traffic and not being able to find parking. However, once we got there, the night was chill between the music, fireworks, the weather was just right, and we got to check out some food vendors along the pier. Some foods/ drinks were more crazy expensive, but we settled on a delicious wood oven pizza with mushrooms and a slushie. Sitting along the pier, it was a decent evening of relaxation with the live band playing in the background. Fast forward to May 30th, 2020. We wanted to go out for a walk and took a drive to the pier since it had been over a year. We hadn't walked so far to the other side of the pier. To our surprise, it was spacious and renovations were made. The city skyline was amazing to look at reflected by the water. We were only there for about less than two hours and police officers reminded everyone about the 10pm curfew. Looking forward to coming back another day to walk and try other food trucks. read more

Question: What better way to capitalize on the best view of Manhattan (sorry not sorry, Brooklyn) than to sip on craft beer standing on a pier that sticks out hundreds of feet into the Hudson? Answer: There is no better way. Boringly, but rightfully closed in the winter, Pier 13 is always packed as a rest-of-the-seasons destination for outdoor drinking. There are two bar trailers serving mixed drinks, sangria, and beers in cans as well as on tap. As a lover of hyperlocal craft beer, it's great to see that the majority of what they have comes right from NJ and NY. Prices are on the high end of reasonable, but Wednesdays are half off so it's like happy hour all night long - on everything. There might be (probably will be) a line at either bar no matter what day it is, so plan ahead, and perhaps get two at a time. Side note, master plan: Go to Pilsener Haus on Tuesday for half off, then go to Pier 13 on Wednesday for half off. #jersey Pier 13 is cash only, so bring some stacks. It gets packed when it's nice, so get there early if you can. Seating on the far end is pretty limited, but I'm a big fan of leaning against the railing anyways, sitting down just limits the view. Music is always pumping, but it's never too loud, so you'll be able to hold a conversation. Since it's Hoboken, there are a lot of strollers with very small humans in them, but they do tend to stay near the picnic tables at the front, along with many of the four legged friends that frequent the area. They don't technically serve food, but there are always food trucks right outside the entrance. Nothing goes better with two or three local IPAs than a pie from Pizza Vita. On a warm, sunny day I'm apt to make a beeline out of work, avoiding every Manhattan rooftop bar on my way to the ferry to NJ because there is no bar closer to the river (or in the river) with a better view, better sun, or better breeze than the 13. read more

I went to the pier before but this is my first review. I went to meet a friend and it was just as I remembered. Parking took a while to get though, so prepare to circle around a few times. I didn't eat or drink anything but the views have always been nice. It wasn't too crowded and they tried to keep everyone social distanced. Jet skis and paddle boating was open as well. I visited once last year and came back again this September. Pre-COVID, social distancing was not a thing here and I found the crowds to be overwhelming, although still a good spot to grab a drink during the day and take in the view. People were not only sitting at tables but on grass area as well, so the back area was hard to navigate. With outdoor dining becoming more popular in 2020, it was no shock that Pier 13 maintained its popularity. I like the variety of food trucks and places to grab drinks (be sure to bring cash), and I was happy to see the stricter seating regulations enforced because of COVID (bye bye, large groups sitting on the floor!).
